HOW DO YOU MISS A WHOLE ROOM?? Scheduled a deep clean for a Wednesday because we were having a realtor come in on Thursday to take pics of our home. The room in question was my man cave and to be perfectly honest, it was the only room that I cared about. That's the room that my dogs and myself relax in. We had to clean the room ourselves. Using Molly Maid was definitely not the cheapest ($965), but I expected that the whole home would be deep cleaned. The maid office even sent me a text that the job would take 1-1.5 hrs. more than anticipated and if I would approve the extra labor, Which I did because we wanted the whole home cleaned and cleaned properly. When I contacted Molly Maid I felt like they were dismissing my concern. The rep at Molly said my wife had told them not to worry about the back room and that it was fine. My wife stated that they really didn't speak to her due to the language barrier and that the room in question was never mentioned and that when they asked how the house looked they had already packed up their cleaning supplies and were on their way out the door. At no time did my wife say to not clean my man cave. They offered me a 50$ discount for an INCOMPLETE job. I hired them because we did not want to do this ourselves and ended up having to do part of the job ourselves. I hired Molly Maid after calling to confirm they could remove pet odor from a property. I made it very clear that this was the reason I was hiring them, and they assured me over the phone that yes, they could handle it. Based on that, I paid over $430 expecting the pet smell to be properly cleaned. But when I returned to the property, the smell was still there--completely unchanged. I called back and spoke with a woman who admitted they didn't actually have the proper products to do a true pet odor cleaning. She told me if I purchased something separately, they'd be willing to come back out and clean it again. That felt fair--so I called back to schedule the return visit. But this time, I spoke with someone else named Blanca, who told me none of that was true. She basically accused me of lying and refused to send anyone back out or make it right. Suddenly, they were quoting "company policy" and refusing to honor what their own staff had already agreed to. I was left with a house that still smelled like a pet, out $430, and now I have to hire a second company to clean up what they said they could do in the first place. This experience was not only unprofessional--it was psychologically abusive. Being gaslit by a company you trusted, especially when you've spent money in good faith, is beyond unacceptable. They bait customers with promises, then deny, deflect, and dismiss concerns once they're paid. I do not recommend Molly Maid to anyone looking for honest, respectful, or reliable service. read more

I requested a full house cleaning. After the cleaning was done and the landlord did the walk through, I got charged more because the landlord had to send someone in and clean spots Molly Maid missed. Called molly maid and showed them pictures (see attached) and Molly maid said they would not do anything about it because we didn't call within 24-48 hours after the cleaning. The pictures obviously show work lacking in quality, especially when you figure we paid $700 for the service. The response was "well you took so long to call it's a he said - she said" which is an odd response because the pictures are proof. Anyhow would not recommend there services. read more

I have used Molly Maids for over 7 years. They have been great and I look forward to their cleaning every other week. It's such a joy to return home to a clean home and the attention to detail. Lupe and Lupita go above and beyond my expectations. If I forget to remove clean clothes from the dryer, I find them folded and placed on my dresser. I hate cleaning my refrigerator and it's not part of my regular cleaning but they do a great job at that as well. That happened the first few times then BOOF, it's 10:15 am and they are so far a no show. When I call I just get excuses and 'well your contract says this and your contract says that'. I hired Molly Maid of North County to come every other week. When the estimator came - Debbie, we went over the details of how I wanted our house cleaned every other week. She even wrote it on the contract I had to sign as this is how she based the bi-weekly cost for them to clean. She even promised that if there a missed items they would send the cleaners back to clean with no charge. She even told me they cleaned top to bottom of our house. They required me to have the deep cleaning for the first time which they charge per hour and came out to over $700 for the 1st cleaning. Time comes for the cleaning they missed a lot even on the first cleaning. When the 2nd cleaning came the 3 girls that came to clean our house were huddled in each room talking away rather than cleaning; I guess they never believed in "divide and conquer" nor had time management skills. I work from home and on a Zoom call constantly they were so loud and even can be heard on my call as someone commented I was so embarrassed about that. They came for about 2 hours for a $274 cleaning charge. They not only missed a lot of things that were written on the contract even as petty as taking the trash out which should be an automatic thing to do when cleaning they just rushed everything. You would think 3 maids would be able to do what is in the scope of work written on the contract. When I called the office their office manager answered, I asked if she read the email I sent her a week ago, and she said she had not read my email yet. She said she'll read it and get back to me. After 5 minutes she called me back and said I read your email, and it seems like we are not the right fit for you. I was trying to explain to her that the email I sent was to remind them to make sure those items are addressed for when they come next time. She didn't even give me a chance and just flat-out kept on interrupting me and wouldn't even let me get a word or two. The bottom line they took over $700 on the initial cleaning then took another $274 to just do a subpar cleaning and ignored what we talked about. I pointed to her that the contract had stated the scope of work and that's how it was based on how much they would charge me the Manager came back with a very rude, sarcastic yelling attitude to me and said they don't have to follow what is on the contract I was given. I was shocked as what was on the contract was the scope of work and the basis of the cost they would charge. When I tried to call the corporate office no one answered the phone and when I left a voicemail message no one returned my message either. Do yourselves a favor, save the headache and money, and do not hire this company as they will over-promise and never do the actual work, they said they would do. I wish I could rate this company with a negative star, but it is not an option. read more

Molly Maids is sending 2 women per home and only allowing 2 hours max to clean - overworking these women and in return, missing so many areas for cleaning. Molly Maids cleaning services is a premium and I find it lacking. I was surprised to see 3 ladies come this last week, but noticed they only cleaned for 1 hr and 10 minutes (outdoor security camera) and still missed items. Worst cleaning company I've ever dealt with in my life. I was quoted between $260-350 for a deep/move out clean including moldings, baseboards, windows, etc. Literally nothing was cleaned, except the fridge, since they took out the food I had in there and left it on the counter to rot for 2 days, and didn't even wipe the counter they left the food on! The baseboards are filthy, no moldings were wiped, there is even dirt on the side of the sinks that is super Visible they didn't even bother wiping: Best part about it is, they told me they were charging me $371, which is way over the highest price of the quote, when they did NOTHING! They offered to give me $20 off, haha: comical, since I then Had to clean the house myself before my new tenants moved in. What a joke. Here is a list of issues: - Missing jewelry from my closet - Broke multiple valuable items such as crystals, personal belongings, decorations, kitchenware, etc. - Do not replace liners in garbage bins when they are supposed to do it - The final issue that broke the camel's back, they left my front door unlocked. We hired Molly Maid for a pre-move in cleaning of our new house. It wasn't horrifically dirty but it had a bit of dust and grime here and there. It was also completely empty of furniture or boxes, which you think would have made cleaning it a quick process. They took 5 hours and did a terrible job. The cabinets were dirty, the stove was greasy, they were in the master bedroom for nearly 2 and a half hours and the walls were still covered in cobwebs and dirt. We called to complain and were told we had missed the deadline for a refund (24 hours) which makes sense except we weren't there! We hadn't moved in yet! They seem completely unapologetic about having disappointed their customers. We had to clean our house after paying molly Maid $450 to clean our house. We hired molly maids to do a move in cleaning of our empty home before we moved in. This home was not very dirty to begin with and I explained no need to clean any room with carpet since we were getting carpet cleaners. So overall a very easy job, I would have done it myself if I wasn't 9 months pregnant. Let's just say the other reviews are 100% correct. The 2 ladies who came over were very nice and polite,but cabinets were not wiped down, at least they still had dust on the shelves. Bathroom tile had smudges, bath soap holder still had old soap around it. Fans not cleaned. And the list goes on. They were only here for a little over 2 hours, but although they looked busy the whole time, I m not sure why nothing really looked cleaned, never mind professionally cleaned. They were probably the lowest quote I got but still $106 an hour. It was not worth the $106. Would not hire again. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Why oh why didn't I check the Yelp reviews before I made the appointment?? At $108/hour, 2 lovely ladies came to my house to do a deep clean. What a joke!! At hour 5 I decided to check the areas they had already finished. Big smudges on the master shower. Incomplete vacuuming. We had the windows and bathroom grout redone, so they didn't need to do anything there. A decent job on baseboards and mirrors. Dusting and cleaning on glass shelves, horrid!! They smiled & said they were done at hour 6, so paying more than $600, I said goodbye. Then I looked at the stove top and backsplash and only got more upset. Not sure if it was their equipment/tools, but I just sprayed the backsplash with Formula 409 and wiped it down - and the grease was gone. I did have to scrub the burners a bit to get them clean, but it was not hard to do. Ended up vacuuming again and it was ridiculous what they missed. Obvious they did not move the family room seating (easy to do since sits on tile), as there were gobs of dog hair and even though the master bed sits a good 18 inches off the floor, they did not vacuum under it. Molly Maids definition of a deep clean must be waaaay different than mine. They did not touch the light fixture in the entry way and the overall dusting throughout the house was lacking. Since we are moving, we have very little clutter and some rooms have zero furniture... I only wish our old house cleaner didn't retire. She and her partner could clean the house top to bottom including wiping down trash cans (not done by Molly Maids) - everything perfectly clean in 5 hours - for literally 1/4 the price!! Bottom line ... do NOT waste your money on them. There's a reason they have so many bad reviews!! read more

First off this was an all around HORRID experience and I really hope that someone from this company contacts me that owns it because if I knew my chain cleaning service was being ran like this I'd be furious. First off I called qnd requested a move out clean. I was not told that the "maids" would be emptying my cabinets and placing my things in multiple trash bags. I was given a quote up to 285 and apparently they just dont give quotes but somehow I got one? My bill was for 395. Now lets get to the "cleaning" and yes ill post pictures My ceiling fan was broken and no one told my husband who did come home during this "clean" The bathroom toilet around the bottom was not touched, my vanity not cleaned there were spider webs left on the wall. NOW lets talk about customer service. 1. No one told my husband that anything was broken 2. I called to of course complain and danielle kept talking over me and yes its frustrating. I demanded that a supervisor call me back as I was furious. 3. Laurie called me back and I did tell her I wouldn't leave a review however the amount that I agreed and requested was not what was charged on my card. So Laurie when you ask me if that amount was "fair" and when you go the grocery store you can't barter your grocery price .. or whatever you were getting at. NO IT SHOULD be free. This branch/maids/ whatever it is, is a giant scam There were two trash bags at my front door with chargers and cords and items from my house. What was going to be done with them? The first place we used was not professional and did a poor job. Then we interviewed individuals and did not find the right fit. Thank goodness we found Molly Maids. It was very easy to book through them and the ladies that clean our house are efficient, friendly and get the job done. Sure, they don't really deep clean but we don't need that service on a bi-weekly basis. We have two dogs - so lots of dog hair - and you would never know after they leave. I have found over the last several years that it depends on the Team that comes out to clean as to how good a job is done. This week I had Team 2, Melody and Andrea for the first time. They did a great job! They were on time, friendly and communicative, without being intrusive and worked with me very well as they moved about my home. initial consultation person came and out insisted that they do a "deep cleaning" on the first visit, which would take longer than going forward / maintenence. They quoted $125 for a weekly service, but the slip of paper they give does not make it clear that you'll be charged HOURLY for that first "deep clean" and will take 3.5 hours. My home is not that dirty - they were hired and asked to do only two things - floors (vacuum / mop) and clean 2.5 bathrooms. That's it, no dusting, no windows, no kitchen. Just 2.5 bathrooms and floors of 2500 SF house it took 3.5 hours and a total of $355 dollars. I think they did busywork, they took my makeup holder apart, cleaned it, and put it back...why? I would never have agreed to this service for $350 plus, and not even have them clean the whole house, just a couple bathrooms and the floors. Cancelled telling them they need to disclose better and write it down. They give you the impression it's $125 per session, but that the first session will take longer, e.g. 2 hours, but maybe 3. The cleaning itself was good, but i will say that my beautiful plate glass shower now has scratches on it, i don't know what they used to clean it but it's damaged now. read more

Horrible experience. I bought a gift certificate as a gift which they stated would be enough for kitchen and bathrooms for the entire house, deep cleaning. The service was scheduled which they stated the amount was only good for a hour and 15 minutes of service. They ended staying for one hour and cleaned 2 bathrooms (two of them) which met the standard of my kids cleaning. After leaving and not doing anything the company still had the nerve to take the gift card and charge and extra $179 to the card. Mind you one bathroom was a master bathroom and the other was a hallway bathroom. They didn't even get the bathroom downstairs because somehow a bathroom the size of a closet takes over a hour to clean with two people. They don't even replace the trash can liners. First off what company charges $150 an hour to clean? Your cleaning a house your not a lawyer. All around awful company which I would never do business with again and will definitely spread the word not to go to this company. read more

Not Recommended I request to change this month schedule date because of unschedule travel plans. I use Andrea's team and because they were booked my cleaning was changed to a week later. A few days later I received a call from Debbie she wanted to raise the price for cleaning and or change my schedule from a monthly cleaning to a as needed basis for $95.00/Hr. I told her I have been on a monthly schedule for several years and wanted to stay on a monthly schedule. She requested that I leave a key under my door mat while I am out out town for them to clean while I was away. I told her I was not comfortable with that arrangement and she refused to keep me on a monthly schedule so I canceled my service. This office prefer to lose a customer than to make schedule changes. Additionally they will make notes and changes to your account with our your knowledge or approval. If you decide to use them make sure you put all request in writing and keep good records. Also they will break/damage things in your home and deny that they did it. Check your floors and you will find it is dirtier after after they cleaned it. I have had to complain about this several times. When you do complain they will request that you pay $95/Hr. to come back to fix or clean up. read more
