Food truck!
Seon L.

Delicious and fast service. I got to enjoy the lovely crepes from the food truck and it was a great experience! I got the sweet strawberry/lemon cream crepe and boy was it good. I really enjoyed the tart/sweetness. My wife enjoyed the savory crepe ( the tragedy?). She said it was one of the better crepes she's had! Definitely would try again!

Banana Nutella. Highly recommend!

I have see this truck at many events but never stopped. Made the stop on 7.10.14 at the Faust park food truck event. This will definitely be added to my list of go to trucks. They had a few savory options and some sweet options and some drinks. I selected the banana Nutella crepe ($6)! Wow! Was it delicious! It was hot and smelled wonderful. They make the crepe, add a sliced whole banana, and the Nutella. It seemed to have some chocolate flavor too. A bit of powdered sugar was added on top. If you like those flavors, you will really like this. It was light but filling. It wasn't too sweet and I really enjoyed the warm bananas. Also had the blueberry lavender lemonade ($3) and it was tasty, refreshing.

I had the Crepe Tragedy. It was a very good crepe. Prices are decent and i didn't have a long wait for my food. All in all, a pretty good food truck.

My husband and I tried a crepe from this food truck during the September Food Truck Friday (FTF) event at Tower Grove Park. We had eaten some main dishes and were ready for something sweet (my favorite!). We ordered the banana Nutella crepe. There's really no way you can go wrong with Nutella. There was no wait, they didn't skimp on the Nutella (yesss!), and it was a pretty decent crepe! Nothing too spectacular about this, just a really delicious crepe!

I stopped by Holy Crepe at the STL Brewers Guild Heritage Festival. It's always so hard to chose when there are like 5 other food trucks - but what caught my eye was the Crepe Tragedy! Anytime Gyro anything and Tzaziki sauce are on a menu, they need to GET IN MY BELLY! Gyro Meat, Spinach, Tomatoes, Feta and Tzaziki sauce all in a yummy crepe. And this crepe did not disappoint. If I could, I would get it again. The ladies were super nice and we chatted for a bit while my crepe was being made. Overall, I'd eat there again. It definitely wasn't a crepe tragedy in my book!

Had the Crepe Tragedy at the Art Museum. It was bigger than I expected it to be and pretty good for $8.

We were able to make one of each with great ingredients. I first made a savory crepe with turkey, cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes and peppers. Covered it in pesto and bechemel sauce. 2nd crepe was a sweet one with strawberries, marshmallows, graham crackers and Nutella. Class was fun and interactive, a fun way to spend an evening! Emily also made sure to keep our drinks full so service was amazing!!!

It's in a little strip mall in Chesterfield Valley. There are a few little tables outside on the sidewalk. It was a little cool so we opted to sit inside. There isn't a hostess stand, but a server saw us and came and told us to sit wherever we would like. There are about a dozen tables in there and I believe they all seat two, but staff would push them together for larger groups. When we got there, there were a fair number of tables open and by the time we left, people were waiting for tables. There are also four seats at a counter. It's not a huge space, but it's a decent size and really cute! We ordered our lattes and checked out the menu. We had to make hard decisions because everything sounded good! We decided we were going to get savory crepes. We both really enjoyed our meals - it was so good! Our server (can't remember her name) was great! But other than that that's the only complaint that I have. Friendly staff, amazing food and drink. I love the lotus crepe as well as the barbecue chicken, I have to admit I could eat one of those about every single day of my life. I loved the banana bread espresso. There's four shots in it so just FYI. Maybe don't drink it after 5:00 p.m. like I did but it was still worth it. The ambiance of this place is absolutely adorable with a rich emerald colored green chair and couch with nice cognac colored armchairs, and a nice fireplace at the head of the cafe gives a cozy and warm ambiance as well as the beautiful Christmas decorations that they had while I was there made it a place that a lot of people wanted to hang out. There were at least six other tables with friends and family just chatting which honestly led to a really nice sense of community which a lot of places in America don't have. And I found this place to be absolutely lovely and worth every penny. A true gem to Oakville!

I live in Soulard but was in Clayton every morning a couple weeks back and ended up eating here 3…read moretimes because I really liked the food and service. I initially visited this place because it's a rare downtown restaurant with great street parking so I always knew I could find a spot (huge plus!). My first visit I tried the blackberry cheesecake stuffed French toast but It didn't seem like it was truly stuffed with any cheesecake. It had some on top though and the flavor was still great, just a bit dry. I should've gotten a bit of syrup on the side. I washed it down with an iced French toast latte that was crazy good so I ordered one to go. Finally my server was Molli and she was just perfect. Sweet, talkative, and attentive -- oh and to top it off she saved my butt after I left my credit card there. I hope she sees this because I appreciate her! The next two times I visited that week I was craving oatmeal and they delivered in an elevated fashion. Their banana walnut oatmeal is decadent. I love boring oatmeal at home but it doesn't have to be boring. Half & Half elevates this humble dish into an incredibly tasty experience. I can't get oatmeal at other places now! I washed it down with some OJ that was just alright. It doesn't taste like it's freshly squeezed in house like other breakfast spots in Clayton but it's hardly a complaint. I will visit this warm and cozy spot many times over.

For some reason, the waitlist online was not available so we could not get on the list ahead of time so I am not sure if they took that down or if they just turned it off or what. But that didn't bother me because I was willing to wait if needed. Where Half & Half is located is on a really busy street in Clayton and you really only have the option to find a street parking spot. Maybe you get lucky and find one out front? Or maybe you are like me and need to park 4-5 blocks away and take a little walk. Either way, you can find parking if you are willing to walk a bit. Upon arriving, there were already a ton of people waiting to be seated so I already knew it would be a wait. I talked with the hostess and added my name (party of 2) to the list and was told it would be about 30-45 minutes wait. The restaurant is not very large, so on a cold day, I did not want to wait outside. Instead, I was able to find a little spot in the corner near the bar and just tried to take up as little space as possible while waiting. Eventually, I received the text that our table was ready and so we made our way to the hostess stand (had to make out way through crowds of people who were also waiting) and then the hostess walked us over to our booth for two. It was just perfect for us. Tim, our server came over right away to greet us and offered us coffee or other drinks. Once we ordered, he gave us some time to review the menu and went on his way to grab our drinks. When he came back, we were ready to order, and, of course, I think I had a difficult order, but Tim made it possible and wasn't even bothered by request. I really just wanted a smaller portion of the Clara cake (to share) and then I asked for a scrambled egg and some turkey bacon. I thought this would be a complicated order, but he made it work and I am so grateful for that. My hubby ordered one of the hash bowls with steak. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed coffee and Tim made sure our cups were filled. He even brought over some bailey's for the coffee for my hubby to add since I ordered a mimosa as my cocktail of choice. When the food came out, it was all so fresh and delicious. I legit love the Clara cake so much and it really made my birthday super special! The eggs were super fluffy and the turkey sausage was also good. Since I did not finish my meal, Tim offered to bring over a box and a bag and then he made sure we were all set before he gave us the bill. Since the restaurant was still super busy, we did not hang out for much longer after paying. Instead, we paid, packed up and were out the door. Honestly, the food is always my favorite here. But this visit was even extra awesome since Tim took such good care of us. Servers are busy and I appreciated how he took good care of us. Thanks to Half & Half for the delicious meal and thanks to Tim for the service! I'll be back.

We were just in time to order a calamari happy hour appetizer. it was hot can cooked perfectly. I then moved on to the halibut and orzo - it was exactly what I was looking for! A perfectly cooked halibut with orzo - nothing heavy. We did however have the cookies as dessert.....and while they take 15-20 minutes to cook - IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!! The cookies arrive hot and gooey to the table - yum. The only 2 drawbacks I will mention...it seemed very loud and we were sitting under one of the arches so we were trying to determine was the restaurant really that loud or were we getting conversations from other areas because of the arches? The other item I will mention is the website does not seem to be up to date with the latest selection - or maybe it needs to be broken out into Lunch and Dinner menus...a person in our party looked at the menu online and when he went to order, he wanted one of the sandwiches shown online (which was not identified as lunch only) and he was not able to order the sandwich. General observation: I would guestimate 90% of the seating is booth seating...it just seemed high and just an observation - not good, not bad.

The interior is small, about 20 seats spread across different tables. There is an area to place orders, but that's for carry out. You also check in there and then grab any open table if you are going to eat in. The interior is decorated with random stuff that is meant to look French, but just makes it appear cluttered. We ordered a couple of breakfasts and waited for a while for them to come out. Coffee was basic and the London fog was really watered down. But the worst was when the food came, I ordered over easy eggs, and the came out way undercooked. Like, still very liquid. But since our server never came back to check on us, I ate everything else. While we waited, we heard them explain to someone that they don't make most of their pastries, which was disappointing. When our sever finally came back to drop off the check I showed her the eggs and asked for them to be taken off the bill. She tapped on the handheld device for a second and handed it to me for payment. When I asked for a copy of the receipt, she seemed nervous. After I got it, i noticed that it had not been taken off. She left to go to other tables and I didn't feel like being there anymore. I would suggest skipping this place and trying the other restaurants in the area. Better food and better service!
