I have been waiting for a long time to try this place and it was worth it! I love Twin Peaks, the tv show, and I appreciate the nods to David Lynch here. The hand pie I had was delightful! Very crisp and yummy. I will say if you're extra hungry, I would go for two instead of 1! I also had a donut that was fluffy and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sat outside on the patio on a sunny day so it was lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Tried this for the first time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cute spot, we had seen they had some long John donut specials for the month on Instagram and it's been on the list to try for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Blending in on a street near Shaw, this is a must stop spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Me and my wife shared a Bacon Breakfast sandwich and then the special French silk and Yuzu macadamia nut long John's. They also gave us a free regular donut since we said it was our first time visiting! The sandwich is the epitome of sometimes keeping it simple is best. It was so tasty, the bread was so fluffy with a slight crunch from a toast. Delicious aioli brought it all together. The donuts...I hope these long John's become regular items because GOODNESS they were tasty. Definitely stop by to try each before they are gone if not. Overall I know we will be back, especially because we didn't even try a hand pie this time...whoops. A cute and tasty spot with some great people working there.

They should probably add "big" to their name. Compared to most other hand pies you'll find, theirs are massive. And of course delicious. I stopped by in a Saturday morning mostly to get their limited time offering of a Gingerbread latte and gingerbread donut. The latte was ok and took a few minutes for them to prepare. I don't know if maybe they had just made a new batch, because it was quite hot. The donut was massive. Way bigger than I expected, but excellent. And of course, the brisket hand pie I had was massive and delicious. The parking can be iffy, but it's still well worth a special trip.

My fault. I asked my friend Ace to get dessert. Next thing I know, poof four donuts appear and my self control left the building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This little Shaw spot is doing everything right.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pastries are ridiculous in the best way, and it's the kind of place where you accidentally leave with way more sugar than planned. Zero regrets.

Wow! The flakiest and tastiest! We tried the dill and cream cheese handpie- savory goodness with lots of flavor. The sweet potato handpie was also delicious- hot honey inside makes this taste like a fruit pie - so sweet and hearty. The chili had a lovely spice and was accompanied by a slice of dense cornbread that a meal in itself! It must be toasted on one side because it had a nice crisp edge on the outside of a moist, cornmeal interior. Everything was so delicious that we got an apple fritter (with big chunks of apple) and a lemon poppyseed donut to go.

Came here multiple times but this was the first time we were able to get hand pies as they were sold out previously. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Staff was nice, limited seating, and overall a cute place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the sausage gravy, curried sweet potato hand pie, and classic apple hand pie. The sausage gravy pie provided a feeling of comfort. Warm sausage filling with a flaky/golden crust. It was rich without feeling grasy, and there was a nice balance of salt and savoriness. Each bit was very cozy. The curried sweet potato handpie was definitely an interesting flavor; definitely not for everyone, but I think I somewhat enjoyed it. The filling was velvity, and it was warm and aromatic with a touch of sweetness. The sweetness was nice and earthy, and the spices were more gentle warmth than actual heat. It pairs well with the buttery crust. Finally, the classic apple hand pie was done well. The apple filling was soft and not overly mushy. The filly was slightly syrupy with a clean cinnamon warmth. Overall, decent place. 4/5 stars.

On the outside? Just a corner building seemingly full of innocence. Of course, the caveat being what seems like a perpetual line out the door to a tiny little pastry shop that has earned loads of warranted hype. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super dope interior with a semi exposed kitchen so you can watch workers roll dough for their hand pies.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A solid menu of sourdough, bfast and lunch sandos, hand pies, pastries, and coffee is hand written on the back wall because the menu is ever fluid. The workers are awesome. Polite, efficient, and crafty. My pumpkin spice roll was delectible. Between the spiraling, flaky layers of sweet dough was a beautiful creamy pumpkin spice filling that warmed my body no matter much the autumn breeze tried to cool me down! Gotta get back asap to try that turkey sando! Everything here is a cant miss, try it! Wait in line! Splurge!

Since my original post we have returned more times and for more donuts than is probably appropriate for our family of 2 this should be a testament to their deliciousness. This is because there are permanent menu offerings (brown butter glazed, apple fritter) that are impossible to pass up but of course the monthly features always sound good. For Feb 2026 don't miss the banana bread cake donut and the spinach & artichoke handpie. The handpie was probably one of the best I've had from here. We generally avoid the filled donuts though - they are often over-filled and the fillings are too loose/runny. Makes them a mess to eat. Case in point: the weekend crueller special - the dough was unreal but was overpowered by excessive filling.

Deliciously fresh pastries, inventive flavors and great presentation. Best thing to do is grab a few things and share between friends/family. You'll want to try more than one thing and they might not have the same things when you come back! I've had several of their donuts, hand pies, drinks, salad and the focaccia. Highly recommend! Great service too.

This place is easy to find, lots of street parking nearby. We usually park someone near & walk up. You have to try these donuts! The classic glaze is easily my favorite in the STL area. Super fluffy & flavorful for a basic donut flavor. The cinnamon sugar is delicious too. One time I came back for a box of just those two flavors for my family. Yum! I tried a sausage gravy hand pie & it was good but honestly a little overpriced for the size & amount of filling inside. We haven't had anything bad here so regardless of what you get it will be good! We've been here many times & will be back many more!

Fortunately or unfortunately, this place is right around the corner from our daughter's home. This makes it a must-stop every visit. The staff are always friendly and not bothered at all at the sometimes long lines that go out the door. Their donuts are amazing. Monthly specials (gingerbread and tiramisu are pictured here) but the brown butter is my all time favorite. Craft coffees and seasonal drink specials along with featured donuts make this a place to visit at least monthly. Their pies and breakfast sandwiches are amazing as well. Fresh and quality ingredients presented perfectly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This quaint neighborhood establishment is well worth driving to as a destination.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can see the staff working after hours and early morning and the passion for serving up best breakfast offerings is evident in every bite. Check them out!

I've had the pleasure to attend the grand opening and the one year anniversary of this gem in Shaw. It's a CUTE space with a lot of thought and small business charm. The team there are super friendly and knowledgeable. The donuts are decadent and the savory foods are also delightful. Don't underestimate the coffee here either. I was shocked at how good their vanilla latte was. Had a great coffee flavor while still having a sweet vanilla taste. I would recommend coming here for brunch! You can order ahead online or come in and wait in their cute lobby.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Visited on a cold rainy day for Damn Fine's pet costume competition and tried the October menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the chili crisp toast, the garlic soup and the apple cider donut. The garlic soup was incredible! Hands down my favorite soup ever, wish it could be a permanent item. It paired so well with the chili crisp toast and the donut was a great sweet end. Love being neighbors with DFHP!
