Went to an amazing new addition to the Kimmswick area last weekend with my mom. I had the Nutella & Strawberry crepe and my mom had the Monte Crisco. Both were phenomenal. 10/10. Absolutely delicious and a great addition to the area!

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

We ordered apps. Spinach dip, onion rings, fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, and aside of spaghetti. The brussels sprouts were nicely fried, a little greasy. The fried pickles were lightly breaded, but very salty. The side of spaghetti was large enough to be a full serving. Wasn't overly impressed with the food, but the service here was top-notch.

All restaurants have bad days and that must be taken into account. Now, for a GOOD review: The service is great! Our hostess, Taylor, was very pleasant and sat us right away in a good spot. She made sure that our server was with us almost immediately. Thanks, Taylor! Our server, Coleen, was very nice and informative. She checked with us just often enough to be attentive and genuinely concerned about our food and our enjoyment of it. Thanks, Colleen! My wife ordered the Windsor French Toast, which had fresh strawberries and blueberries with a sweet and yummy cheese spread on top. The perfect brunch dish! I got the fried Catfish and Fries - I'm from the South ( the Carolinas ) and we sometimes have catfish for breakfast, so this was my brunch item. The catfish was AWESOME! Very mild and tasty breading. I'm not usually a big fan of Tartar Sauce, but once I tried it, I had to put a little on every bite. The fries were some of the best I have ever had! Crispy coated and tasted like they were deep fried in butter!! Ask your server how they do this ;) - The ambiance is fantastic! A bit close quartered in some spots, but there is a lot of alternative seating, so you can be comfortable. The outdoor seating is really nice. I love this place. I highly recommend it. I want to give Taylor and Colleen my personal SIX Stars ****** for making our visit amazing. And special kudos to the kitchen staff for making such great food! Please do yourself a favor and EAT HERE!!!

I went with two friends on a Sunday at 9am and the whole experience felt rushed from the beginning. I do think this was partly because you do not have a dedicated server which sounds nice in theory. We were asked if we were ready to order multiple times, by multiple people in just a few minutes. My friend was then asked if they could clear her plate at least 10 times because she was not actively eating. By the last time it was almost comical and she ended up apologizing to the server and asked for a few more minutes as she is a slower eater and takes breaks. Dedicated sections for servers would go a long way here.

The restaurant was packed and had a line (for good reason)! Once seated, our server checked on us frequently and listed their specials soundly. I opted for the sandwich special of the day, the Monte cristo, and my partner got one of the Benedict's. We split the special waffles of the day, the French toast waffle. We also both got a good drink with our meal. The Monte Cristo was perfectly sweet and savory. Incredible potion sizing for the price and a delicious plate. The French toast waffle was insane. Such a perfect sweet treat to finish our meal!
