    Apple Cinnamon Waffle
    Vince L.

Great waffle for a very decent price. Walking out and seeing such a unique truck was a pleasant surprise. The owner told me the story about how he got it (I think he said it is a 1953 truck). While we were chatting he mixed the batter for my waffle. Fresh made! Awesome. $3 was way under what I expected to pay at a food truck! They added a touch of powered sugar (you control how much) and gave me a choice of 6 different syrups. Walking back to my office and NOT eating was tough. It smelled wonderful. back at my desk I poured a bit of syrup on it and ate away. It was good. I am glad I just got one because it was VERY filling. I will be back for another waffle when I see the truck.

I don't even know where to start. This guy is a great American and his business is absolutely awesome! First off, he donated his time and business to feed members and families of local Coast Guard and Government workers on furlough and working without pay. Second, his waffles are easily the best I've ever had and I'm not saying that because they were free. I had the apple cinnamon and it was the perfect size, texture, and I'd bet there was an entire apple in that waffle. The food truck was a classic and spotless inside and out. The gentleman cooking the food was friendly, timely and I will definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.

    Classic with bacon.

Tried the waffles for the 1st time 7/12/14 at the Kirkwood Farmer's Market. The BF and I decided to share an original add bacon. FYI all waffles are now $4 whether you order original or any of the specialty flavors and adding bacon or sausage in is an extra $1. They offer 3 flavors of syrup. I can only remember maple and blueberry. They also offer powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar sprinkled over top. I expected to be wowed after reading other Yelper's reviews, but instead I was fairly disappointed. I would expect a better flavor for paying $5. The waffle was a nice size and the bacon added in was generous enough. I mean it was 2 nice size strips. The waffle itself was just OK. I could have went to The Waffle House or the freezer and tasted better for an original. They offer other flavors like: blueberry, lemon, pumpkin and chocolate.

Great gourmet waffles and super friendly staff. Don't let the small truck fool you, the flavor is full size!

I took my Kiddos to the Museum of Transportation and decided to stop here after we left the museum…read more I've been wanting to try the restaurant out after learning about it as one of an upcoming Yelp Elite Events. This location was very close to where we were. It was the perfect time to try it! Ambiance: I really love the esthetics of the restaurant. The floral arrangements in the front is very inviting and added a great touch. I also loved the covered outdoor seating areas available, along with the indoor option. We surprisingly opted to sit outside, because heat is not my friend. The industrial fan definitely helped! I felt like I was sitting on one of friend's veranda in the carribean Food: I really enjoyed the food. Tacos are a la carte. For appetizer we opted for the Trifecta which came with guac, queso, and rojo salsa. Let me just say, their happy hour deals are a great steal! Order: There are a couple different ways to order & pay. Use the traditional way of having the server take our order by raising the card "Lets Taco Buddha it," or by scanning the QR code and placing order yourself & pay online. At first, I started the online order because I felt like this would allow me more time to read the menu and order on my own terms. I ended up raising my card and having someone take my order despite having it all in my cart. Tacos are served "family style" comes out on the same platter. We opted for the Baja ( battered pallock) & The Jodhpur (marinated grilled chicken). The kiddos opted for the quesadillas and fried chicken taco. Everything was flavorful (with the exception of their hot/mild sauces, those were flavorless, however not necessary to add). Not going to lie, I made a joke to my mom about the food being served on a surgical tray or "doggy platter." LOL lol. Service: They use a team model. I saw multiple staff going throughout the restaurant checking on needs & refilling water pitchers. Everyone was really nice, they had small toys for children to play with at the table and it's always a plus when they strike up a conversation with my kiddos. Parking: We arrived shortly after 4pm and there were lots of spots available. By the time we were leaving, there were two cars waiting for spots. It is also located alongside a busy street, the restaurant did get packed for dinner on a weekday. Pricing: Prices does add up very pretty quickly, however 1 Taco can be very filling especially if you opted for appetizers. The only thing I would have changed is not to order my meal the same time as my appetizer. It came out almost together. I would have liked to enjoyed the appetizers prior to my entrée.

First off, listen to your server when they tell you 2 tacos is enough! These tacos are LOADED. We thought we knew better and ordered 3 each anyway. No regrets though because they were ridiculously good. I ordered the Truth or Consequences, the McCausland, and the Nashville. I'd absolutely order all three again. The Nashville was really solid, but the Truth or Consequences and the McCausland are the real stars. Both are super unique and absolutely packed with flavor. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. 100% love what they've got going on here.

The ingredients seemed good but my chicken thigh was cheap, the chicken was burned, the sauce was too salty, and the sandwich was half heartedly put together. The fries and sauce were very good -- and obviously required the least effort. That's what gives me hope. The restaurant itself has sticky floors (which I've tried to avoid after I turned 30) and is a bit of a mess. There's a towel sitting under the big jug of water. It's just not clean or easy to be in. I saw the pics when you guys were a food truck. I know you were making incredible stuff. The gal at the front was friendly enough, but all in all this was a bull*hit experience considering the potential. The restaurants that are consistently good have the owners/head chef watching, caring, and making sure their workers deliver the experience that was intended. I have no doubt if someone who really cared showed up this place would be all I was hoping.

On the plus side, there is plenty of free parking in front in two large lots. There is lots of seating in the garden and outdoor games available, plus plenty of space for the food trucks. It is dog friendly (pickup bags provided). There is a large movie screen that is easy to see and hear when they play movies. On the other hand, I was confused about the name "9 Mile Garden" since the outdoor part of this is small. It's not even half a mile long. I thought, based on the name, that it would be a larger entertainment area. It isn't, and the surrounding businesses include a large smoke shop and a Dollar Tree. There was a gravel hill between the garden area and the Canteen indoor bar area that was slippery in the rain (why no convenient stairs?). The bathrooms are rustic, similar to what you might find at a hiking trail head.
