He frantically started searching Yelp for somewhere else nearby, and that's how we stumbled upon this place. Now it's become one of our favorites. It's a speakeasy with a really cool entrance that I won't spoil, a relaxed atmosphere, piano tunes, a great wine selection, and charcuterie that's perfect for sharing. It's one of those places where you can actually sit, talk, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the night. Such a great spot to chill, chat, and vibe and still one of our favorite date-night finds in Pasadena. Great for groups too.

The service was incredibly friendly and our winetender was very knowledgeable. She walked us through five different wines and explained the flavors and pairing suggestions in a way that was easy to understand. There was also a customer at the bar who was very friendly and showed us pictures of her wine adventures. She even recommended visiting Sonoma or Temecula for future wine tasting trips. We ended up choosing a red wine to bring to dinner and it was perfect. We would love to come back again the next time we are in Pasadena.

My fiances sorbet was given to the special table next to us, but they had already had their dessert, and so the wait staff left with it and a minute later delivered it to our table melted. There was one staff member that was wonderful, and it seemed like he was a busboy who was filling in for our waiter (sorry I did not get his name) but he was very kind, personable, and would be the reason we come back, aside from the great food. There was also no acknowledgement of the special occasion we were celebrating, which is a minor thing but at other restaurants it's usually never missed and helps make for a nice experience especially when we mark that we are here celebrating an anniversary. All in all it was a disappointing experience. We may return for the food in the future, because it was excellent, but the service needs to be worked on.

My wife and I are from New York. We come to Pasadena one or two times a year. Three years ago, we had the opportunity of dining at Holy Saints when they had first opened. Food was outstanding! Since then, every year we return to Pasadena, we always stop by a few times to greet Daniel and his wife Stephanie and enjoy another wonderfully delicious meal!! It's tiny and cozy inside. They have a bar seating area as well as tables. There's a tv at the bar which is viewable no matter where you sit. Everyone was very welcoming and nice. We ordered the oysters (chefs choice - a dozen), clams and grilled octopus. Everything was delicious. The raw oysters come with condiments to add flavor to the oysters and the grilled octopus came with a side salad. I look forward to dining here again and trying some other menu options.
