Wow, stoped there to look at upgrading my wheelchair, figured it would be the same old same old thing. (They would have one or two chairs, and very little knowledge) but NOT THE CASE. The staff are the most accommodating and friendly people I've encountered in a very long time! I sprained my ankle severely, so I saw a knee walker (knee scooter) advertised on their website. I called and asked about availability, and they promptly confirmed that they had one in stock for rent. I was greeted upon entry and the sales associate remembered me from my call. She quickly went back to get the knee walker and helped me adjust the height. The manager, Jay, also walked me through the fold-down/set up process and he allowed me to try it before I checked out. Thanks to a Yelp promotion, I was able to rent the knee walker for a very reasonable rate for the week. Words cannot express how thankful I am that I found the Home Ability Store. My Mom's medical status had degenerated to the point where she could no longer sleep comfortably and safely in bed. Due COVID and my Mom's difficulty ambulating, we purchased a lift chair online, hoping she would experience some relief. Unfortunately, the chair did not fit her properly despite utilizing the manufacturer's guidelines to order the chair. After a few weeks, we realized the online chair was not going to work. That's when I called the Home Ability Store and spoke with Steve. After explaining our situation and Mom's medical status, Steve graciously opened his store on a Saturday (when the store is generally closed) for a private appointment. Steve and his son patiently assisted Mom (with her oxygen) transfer from her wheelchair to multiple lift chairs in the store. It was truly a "Goldilocks" experience that lasted over 2 1/2 hours! During the entire time, Steve and his son were kind and patient and allowed Mom to rest as needed. At long last, Mom found a chair! The story doesn't end there either. The chair was ordered with "white glove service" which was to be provided by a third-party vendor in the Palm Coast area. However, when the original delivery date was delayed from the manufacturer due to COVID, Steve called the manufacturer, explained my Mom's situation, and I received a call from the Vice President of Golden to apologize for the delay. Within a few days, I received a second call from the VP at Golden advising that Steve had the delivery location changed to his store in Jacksonville to expedite shipping. Upon arrival of the chair in Jacksonville days later, Steve and his son promptly hand delivered the chair to my Mom's house over 45 minutes away. They did this after hours at the end of their business day. Not only did they deliver and set up the chair at for my Mom, but they even carried her old chair to the garage! Mom is now resting comfortably. Thank you Steve for putting the health and well-being of your customers above all else. read more

The friendly staff here at Home Ability won me over as a customer in March 2015. I was driving all over town looking at lift chairs. I visited a total of 5 different stores. Home Ability tried the hardest to help me find a chair and did the best job of lowering their price to beat all other stores. Then when the chair I ordered looked like it may not arrive in time for my surgery, Home Ability delivered a loaner chair to me at no additional charge! They honored their word to me that I would get my lift chair the day before my surgery. I only needed the loaner for 1 day, then my chair arrived! So it was a lot of extra work for them to deliver a loaner for just 1 day, in order to keep their agreement.
