Had a new remote programmed. Anthony was super helpful and patient with all my questions. I probably drove him a little crazy. Later that evening when the Thursday night football game came up on Prime the system froze up. Since I had Anthony's mobile number, I called him between 6or 7PM. He didn't answer so I left a voice message. Within 10 minutes he called me back and instructed me how to reset the remote and I was able to watch the rest of the game. Most employees turn off their phones after 5 and don't want to help or be bothered by customers after hours. I couldn't be more satisfied with this company and our new AV equipment. From the first time we met until today, when I had some equipment moved to a new piece of furniture, all of our dealings have been superb. The salesperson, Johnny, helped me figure out the correct equipment for our needs and gave me a wishlist of the best things for my needs and from there I was able to decrease the equipment to match the budget. I highly recommend this company. I had some technical issues but Jonathan their key technical expert quickly resolved all my technical issues. When Russ came out he quickly designed a total new TV/internet concept. It was cheaper and more reliable then what I had. I moved into a home that had a SONOS system that had been installed about 10 years prior. AVTV was recommended to me by the people I bought the house from, to learn the system. Russ came out and showed me a lot of other things I could add to the house...a Ring System, and a Samsung Smart TV system. The house was set up with speakers throughout for the SONOS system. Now...the review: I am SO, SO happy with the entire setup. Jorge and another gentleman did the setup, for the TV and SONOS to be wired through the speaker throughout the house. They hooked up the RING system and the only issues I have had was with one of the older, original components that just wore out. I have had a few glitches, but none to do with the installation. They have sent out Jorge nearly every time and he figures out what has happened. He is one of the nicest people I have ever had come into my home and explain what was a difficult learning curve for me (in my 70's). He is patient, kind and respectful ALWAYS! This was worth every penny I've spent and I know as the older components wear out I will need to replace them, but I love the system and listening to whatever kind of music I want to hear (anywhere in the house) is delightful. I had a very good experience from start to finish. We wanted to upgrade our home audio/video system from our standard cable, cassette tape, and non-blue ray DVD (complete with a tangled mess of wires and multiple remotes) to a state of the art HD system with direcTV, Blue Ray, AppleTV, and a single remote. Mark came out and talked about our desires and proposed a system to us on-site. He was very knowledgeable, and provided a number of choices that we had not even considered before. For example, he suggested we also include an AppleTV for wireless streaming music from iPod, iPhone, or iMac (which it turns out is a great addition with my teenage kids). Mark had also recommended a direcTV installation company that was very good. Digitainment provided a detailed quote for all the components of the system. This is very convenient. I found from research that the prices they provided were less than big box stores. One component was a little more expensive than Amazon, another was much less. They handle the warranty, the shipping, and the hassle so I would highly recommend you use them to buy your equipment as well. Jonathan and Ben were our installers. They arrived on time, are very talented and friendly. They took care to use tarps to protect our furniture. They were creative in running wires in my multistory house to minimize any impact to walls. Mark recommended that I have Kevin the direcTV installer there the first day. Both crews had worked together before and things went very smoothly. Kevin provided an ethernet to cable converter to provide a hardwired connection from the dTV receiver to the internet router in the garage over the cable system saving on running an extra set of cables through the walls. Outdoors, they installed two high quality rock speakers and two other speakers on a swivel system so that we can enjoy music outdoors and direct the music to different areas as needed - each with an independent volume control. The install took 1.5 days as quoted. When the job was done, the house was left clean and tidy. They gave us a detailed orientation to the system and the all-in-one RF remote. They left us detailed written instructions for our specific installation complete with a cell phone to call any time. They offer "lifetime support" which is good to know. Mark and Russ (the owner/founder) both followed up with me directly the next week to make sure things were going well, and to remind me of their lifetime support promise and ask for feedback. Overall it was a very good experience. We are enjoying our new state of the art system. It was nice to have expert advice, installation, and support throughout the whole process. read more

I was totally impressed with my entire experience, beginning with the showroom demonstrations, negotiations, purchase, install/setup and support. This is my third time purchasing a home entertainment/surround sound system. The first two sounded great in the store but didn't deliver the same experience after installed. This time was very different. The experience at home is identical to that I enjoyed in the studio. Absolutely outstanding!!! My wife, who was very skeptical, was totally impressed with the entire product. While watching a movie at home recently, she actually sat up and looked around because of the sound movement through the room. First, the entire staff is very knowledgable, friendly, patient and professional. They do not push or try to up sell. I went to the showroom four times asking questions such as why they selected and recommend the speakers, TV, receiver, Blu-Ray player, etc. I brought in my own DVDs to see how they performed in the showroom and compare them to my existing system. I asked to see the picture quality on the 8500 and 5500 TV lines so I could determine if the 8500 was worth the price difference. I spent hours researching the products they recommend. The TV is absolutely the top rated TV on the market today. The remainder of the products, receiver, speakers, Blu-Ray player are solid products, excellent products for their value. Anyone who has done any research in sound products knows that there is no limit to the amount of money that can be spent. You have to decide how much you are willing to spend. I concluded that they are recommending solid high quality products at a reasonable price. There are less and more expensive receivers, speakers, Blu-Ray players, etc., but their suggested products sit at the preverbal knee in the curve (yea I am an engineer). Look at the links on their web page. It is refreshing to see a business who wants to properly educate the consumer. They do not try to up sell you on cables or power/noise conditioners that add nothing to your system. I then spent three weeks working with Digitainment on different cost estimates ultimately purchasing the speakers, TV, receiver, Blu-Ray player, Apple TV, and URC remote they recommend. The system setup was rushed because the previous install and setup ran long - that customer did a self install which resulted in numerous big issues. During the setup we ran into an issue getting the Apple TV to work with the Apple Home Sharing service. Ultimately I discovered that Home Sharing doesn't work when the iTunes library is on a NAS. So unfortunately, the universal remote setup was rushed and I didn't adequately test the remote before he left. Fortunately their after sale support is outstanding. They bent over backwards to get the remote setup properly. Bottom line - I am totally (so is my wife, which is a first) impressed with the total package and will continue to give them my future business. read more

This is an update. Turns out I was emailing to a "Nick" when it should have been "Nate". Don't know if they have a Nick, but the emails never got kicked back so the communication went downhill from there. Digitainment took care of a problem with the DirecTV DVR but promised to send someone with more technical skills to deal with a missing "group" on the remote control (some kind of programming issue) and figure out why we still don't get any sound through the Sonos system for Amazon Prime. That was around Feb 22nd. As of March 6th, nobody has come back. read more

If you're looking for a total, one-stop solution to upgrade your entertainment system, you can't go wrong with Home AV TV. They do everything from remodeling the space, including walls and cabinetry, to installing and integrating all your equipment to work flawlessly from a single remote control. My husband and I had an old entertainment system that dated back to 2001 with a huge built-in cabinet, a 300 pound tube TV and no HDMI hookups on any of our equipment. Russ from Home AV TV came out and proposed a new wall-mounted TV, new AV equipment and a new cabinet to house it in. His crew carefully removed our old cabinet, TV and equipment so that it could be donated and recycled. They built-out a new wall for the TV and the drywall finishing is so good that it looks like it's always been there. The new lower cabinet is beautiful and includes ventilation features to protect the new equipment from overheating. But the best part of the whole experience has been the installers. Leo and Dane surpassed our expectations with excellent communications, skills and attention to detail throughout the project. read more

Late review, I contact Home AV TV back in January 2018. I was prepping the guest room and just had a murphy bed installed and needed to find a new area for the TV and home networking. This was all in preparation of welcoming our second child in February. Russ responded very quickly and arrange to come onsite to scope out the work. Although it was more then what I originally anticipated to pay, the final result was worth it. I'm sure I could have done it myself at a snail pace and with the right tools but Russ installer were professional and very skilled. My 34" Samsung LCD was professionally wall mounted and requested 2 x HDMI, power, and 2 x CAT5 cables were pulled to corner of the room where the AV and home network cabinet was located. Everything was clean and well executed. The installers were polite and professional. The only criticism I could give is in the process to get the cables past in-wall fireblocks/firewalls, they had cut a hole and replace with a blank wall panels. This didn't bother me but if I would have thought about it before hand and understood the install, I would have requested they do a dry wall pumpkin cut for a nicer look. Nevertheless, great job done by Home AV TV and Russ's team. I plan to have them do some additional work in the future. read more

Our Yamaha system stopped operating in Zone 2, so we thought we needed a replacement. We like to support local businesses whenever we can, so after I read all the great reviews, I called them for an estimate to do a wall mount for our TV in the bedroom. The salesman arrived on time, was friendly, and he was thorough in explaining the details of the job and told us options on the sound system, Sonos, etc. We were quite pleased with that. Unfortunately, we never received the written estimate we were supposed to get via email. I called about a week after the initial visit, and was told that I should get it in a couple days. Well, I didn't. Nor did I get a follow-up call (incorrect email address, perhaps?). I guess ours was too small a job for them, and they didn't need our business. read more

This staff is very knowledgeable. They educate you on the many alternatives and direct you to the high value options. They debunk myths and help you discover that paying more does not mean you get more in functionality. The installers are well-trained and have a lot of experience. It took 5 days to do my entire home and they were punctual each day. When is the last time when work crews told you they would be there at 7:30 and were there as promised. The founder of the company worked in my home until 10pm on a Friday night getting everything ready for us on the weekend. That is called going "the extra mile". Their English is superb and I had no concerns about their immigration status and whether they were insured and bonded. You can't take those things for granted when workers are going to be in every part of your house!!!!! Digitainment standardizes on components and focuses on "easy to use". What a concept.....we can actually use this stuff? Their unique business concept is "service for life". True customer service is becoming a thing of the past in so many parts of our life. This company is passionate about happy customers. They spent 16 hours working on my flaky network problem and didn't bill me!!! The least I could do is tell others about the great experience....and so I am. If it breaks, they promise to fix it. Need help with the operation of the system...just call them. The entire crew has good ideas and are resourceful about solving problems. They clean up their mess and even sell your old stuff on eBay for you and give you the money!!! 3D television is here and these guys will help you figure it out. This was a very good experience. They sent 2 very knowledgable techs to my house to consolidate all my remotes into 1 radio frequency remote. They counseled me up front about how things would function based on the equipment I already owned and made adjustments to the programming of the new remote so it was easy to operate. The whole process took about an hour and they left my house clean and tidy. It was a perfect storm - we wanted to hang the TV and also increase the sound in the TV. Since most thin TVs have poor sound, I knew that I wanted my sound bar to also be part of the deal. So, I called Digitainment just around the time they opened up their San Marcos store, and spoke to Russ. I wasn't too sure about what I wanted, so I went into their store - at Russ' suggestion. That is what sold me - I knew exactly what I wanted thereafter. However, it was way too expensive, so they gave me a quote, divided into multiple phases - as I requested. Done Deal. They came out to install, and after a few hours, TV was on the wall with all the wires hidden and ready for the next phase. (One of my pain points was the multiple remotes that we had, so the first phase also included getting rid of all remotes. The remote has a lifetime service guarantee - doesn't work, just call them and they will walk you through it, or come on out). Done Deal. I would highly recommend these guys. read more

The quality of installation and product recommendations was excellent. Their customer service in the store front was also excellent. The only hitch was the amount of time it took the company they recommended to build and install the entertainment center to complete the job. The 8 week process took double the amount of time. To Russ' credit, he acknowledged the issue and made mutually agreeable adjustments on the final bill. I will continue to get my Home Audio needs serviced through this company but will avoid any future work with the company who built the cabinetry. We wanted to install last year and gave them a large down payment, however my wife got very sick and we had to wait. We are a repeat customer from several years ago and decided to upgrade our tv to 4K, improve our surround sound, put Sonos in very room, upgrade the wi-fi network, switch to satellite TV, purchase the supporting hardware, etc. Even though our project was small compared to other elaborate projects they work on, Russ and his team have been very good in returning our calls and following up with us before and after our installation. We were having some unique and unusual problems with our system and Dane had come out a couple of times to correct our problems and explain how it all works. He never made us feel like we were technologically inept (but we probably are) or that we weren't important to them. For those interested in details, I have listed them below: My wife and I love music and movies and, having come from a home that had built in speakers in several rooms and outdoors, getting our new home hooked up with an even better system was one of our top priorities. Did a lot of research and based on other Yelp reviews, I scheduled a consult with Russ to get an idea of what could be done and how much it would cost. Russ came to our home one evening and spent over an hour with us discussing numerous options between using my existing system or getting new in wall/ceiling speakers throughout many rooms in our house and outdoors. Russ was extremely knowledgeable and provided several suggestions with the pros and cons of each. Much like another reviewer mentioned, when I saw the complete bill for our dream AV set-up, it was a little out of reach. However, Russ broke the quote down into phases that were much more attainable for the short term. First phase was to mount my 60" TV, install new speakers in the family room, kitchen and living room, install SONOS (the greatest wireless music system ever) components, Apple TV and universal remote (saved us from having 4+ remotes). Jonathan and the rest of the install team were very professional, answered all my annoying questions and checked in with me on anything that may be even the slightest deviation of the original plan. They installed everything in 2 days and left the house cleaner than it was when they arrived. As I had to work on the second day and couldn't be there for the completion, Jonathan made himself available by cell phone after hours to train me on using the universal remote. After our first great experience and after winning a bet with my wife, I was looking to buy a 75" TV for the downstairs and move the 60" to the bedroom. I emailed Russ and told him what I was looking to do. He called me from his vacation to discuss some options. Russ also explained specifications and nuances to what I was looking to buy and wound up recommending a TV that I LOVE and saved me over $2000. Jonathan and the crew came out again and installed the new TV, organized my components in my new built in cabinet (designed by Russ), installed an RF remote adapter, installed my existing TV upstairs with a SONOS sound bar and another Apple TV upstairs. They worked with me again to discuss any potential changes and were able to reduce the estimated install by almost $200. They were done before lunch and everything looked and sounded amazing. I still have a few more phases that I am waiting to save up on to proceed with and will, without hesitation, be calling Digitainment again. read more
