Our 78" curved Samsung stopped working. Bob's company was recommended and I gave him a call. Very prompt response and they were at the house the next day. Could not repair at the house so they took it down and very carefully took it to their shop. It needed a new part and he sent over the estimate for approval before proceeding. They returned a few days later and had it back up and running in 20 minutes. They made sure the tv was perfectly centered, cleaned it thoroughly and made sure all inputs were functional. BUT, somehow the projector had stopped working during this whole process - which was in a different area than where Bob's work was performed. We tried several things to get it working and could not find the issue. Bob was not satisfied with leaving the job "unfinished" and made a call to the original installer to troubleshoot. After trying a few things, it ended up a wire had to be reset to reestablish the "handshake". Prompt service, professional communication, knowledgeable, tidy, courteous - and did not leave until the job was done. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! It has been OVER TWO YEARS and I have NOT gotten my TV back!!!! We took it in the beginning of 2020, before covid took over and paid in full to repair the blinking of our tv, after a few days of getting it back, it started blinking again! So we called and sent the TV back in...& haven't seen it since!! He let us borrow a cheap loner tv, the volume doesn't work so it requires a large sound bar that sits on our table. (Gee, thanks) I understand that parts became hard to come by once lockdown took place, but it has been 2 years since then and should no longer be the case. There has been ZERO communication on his end. I never heard from Bob, unless I was the one to call & leave multiple messages. One conversation got heated as he argued with me because I was asking for a full refund since he could NOT fix it!!! He wanted to keep the diagnostic fee. Such crap customer service!! I still have not heard anything from him since that call. His phone just goes to Voicemail. No refund, No TV, No Communication! Such BS!! read more

Twice, I have had Bob try and fix my TV. Twice has it gone bad again right after. $200 the first time and $50 the next. After the first attempt, the tv lasted about 1 month's use (we had it longer, but it barely got used), the second time it lasted for a month again through continuous use. So you can see a pattern here. I don't think Bob is trying to scam me, I just dont think he knows what he is doing. The same TV going out twice in a row after visiting your shop. So much for that $250... Maybe you could use it to take some TV repair classes... EDIT: Bob called me up after seeing my review! Angry much? I have had to block his number. AWESOME SERVICE!!! I wanted to put a television in my motor home and connect it to the house batteries so not to have to run the generator. The television that I have has a plug that transformed the power from 110 volts down to 12 volts. The house batteries delivered 13.74 volts so I was concerned about the higher voltage in today's electronics. I called the manufacturer and asked them the question about the voltage difference but they couldn't help me, they said it needed 110 volts.... I thought-now what? I went online and found VideoTech911, called and talked to Bob about the voltage difference. Bob told me to send a picture of the make and model so could research it and would call me back. A couple hours later he called me back and indicated the voltage difference would not be an issue with this particular television. I connected it and it works great. WOW! WHAT A GREAT SERVICE! Our 60" Sony projection tv lamp went out days before our vacation. We always said that when this TV went out we would upgrade everything. We already did our research and knew which 4k model we were going to get. I bought a Samsung in 2009. Never a problem. A few days ago the on-off mechanism started failing. It would take several attempts to get it to finally work. I called this business and within a day Bob came out to the house. He had already explained what he thought the problem was and how he expected to fix it. He had to open the tv, remove the power board, replace the capacitors, several relays and within a couple hours my tv was fixed. He explained the steps he was taking and showed me the parts. I left a message with the first company and they called back several hours later. I reached the second company (Video Tech). Bob just left a minutes ago and our tv is working as good (maybe even better) than ever. He not only changed the lamp, he cleaned the lamp compartment including the cooling fan (man was the whole area filthy) and he fixed our surround sound speakers. What a difference that made!!! Bob did a good job. I had him install the TV wiring which had to go in over our fireplace. I had already installed the TV and already had it working, but it looked messy with the exposed wiring. Describing it to him over the phone gave me a price of around $200. But once he came by he quoted $350. But when he did the work (which took a little over 4 hours all-told) the bill was $440. He charged $40 for an HDMI cable that I wish I had known I needed ($12 -$14 all over the internet), so I was paying $100 per hour for his work. I do feel he did a good job. I also feel he did overcharge me. And then on top of that there was an extra $10 because I wasn't prepared for that large a bill and had to pay with a credit card. Just be sure you get a firm quote from him before he starts. Then you can really feel good about the work he does for you. read more
