The food was generous portions and I was full the rest of the day. The service was good and the food came out relatively fast. They only serve breakfast and lunch. My reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the breakfast potatoes. It was a mix of fresh and tater tot rounds and didn't make sense. I was expecting more along the lines of home fries honestly. I recommend they get rid of the rounds and keep the fresh diced potatoes. read more

Food wise, their cinnamon roll was what made this place worth it for me. That was perfect. Unfortunately their breakfast burrito with the sausage and the sausage gravy was terrible! No seasoning and no flavor. I had to put a ton of salt, pepper, and hot sauce on it. I ended up just eating the eggs and some sausage out of it. I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't go back. Where the food was lacking came to the potatoes which included frozen round hash brown potatoes. Either this is a typical or they were running out of the homestyle potatoes. Either way frozen hash brown rounds are not homestyle potatoes and not what I would expect going to a restaurant. read more

This is a new breakfast/lunch cafe in Louisville so we thought we would drop in and check it out! There was s quite a bit of seating which is great ( I remember it being smaller when it was another business before the café opened up). Service was great! Very friendly and pretty quick too... very clean and not very busy I was excited to see they have eggs Benedict so I wanted to try the classic eggs Benedict and it was very delicious... This is a hidden gem in centennial marketplace! Super friendly, huge menu with large portions and reasonable prices. I had the mixed berry crepes and my friend had the Greek omelet. I had the smoked salmon Benedict wit side of grits. Grits were cheesy, creamy, perfect texture. A couple of other versions of Benedict at the table, everything was great. Had a wonderful breakfast here on a Saturday morning. They opened at 7am which was perfect after I had an early morning drop off at the airport. I had the 2-2-2 with eggs, bacon and French toast and it was delicious. Lovely family run business. Will definitely be back when I'm in Louisville. read more

This restaurant opened April 4, 2024. I went there with 3 friends on Friday morning. We all had something different and cleaned our plates! I had 2+2+2 = 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 French toast. It was very good and hot. Getting a breakfast meal lukewarm or cold is my biggest complaint with breakfast restaurants. They do it really well!! read more

We tried this restaurant this weekend and found the food to be remarkably delicious. Huevos Rancheros was excellent! The green chili was very tasty. The service was a little slow due to the busyness, but the crew worked well together and were friendly. The place is relatively small and it could be easily missed in the small strip mall. My wife and I love having a cafe breakfast for lunch, so Home Cookin' fits the bill! The staff are very friendly, the surroundings are clean and comfortable, the menu has lots of b'fast and lunch entrees and sides to choose from, our orders arrived quickly, and the food was outstanding (also very generous portions and reasonable prices)! Bookguy had Carol's Potatoes: chorizo gravy-covered potatoes topped with two eggs, and a side of toast. He especially liked the chorizo gravy. A third member of our group ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Everything came out just the way she liked it. It's a bit noisy when it's packed with diners as it was this day, but the food is great so no doubt we will be back when in Louisville.
