We visited Apraske for a birthday party last night…read more This is a 80s inspired pop-up theme bar with 80s disco and neon lights. You can sit outside or in little heated greenhouses. (There is also inside seating but we didn't try that). The cocktails are very tasty. I tried "Sex on the Snow" and I loved it. This cocktail is based on Gin with infused lavender and lemon juice. They also served some food. My kids had nachos and I had the German Style brats. My brat was served with pickled red onion and whole grain mustard. It was really good. I loved the vibe and I will visit again.

They had a small row where they could fit some tables inside. My friend at I were sat directly next to the air conditioning machine. The tables were wobbly, there was water spilling from the pitcher, basically the whole time, and we were never offered napkins. Overall the theme was good, but I wanted to see more of the restaurant. The decorations were a little shotty and at one point someone stood on the bar to plug in the lights. There was a sandpit outside where the band was playing and swinging chairs at the bar. The first drinks that I got- the one in the coconut- was basically an expensive cup of ice. There was VERY little drink in here. After about two sips, it tasted like sweet ice water. I also ordered the pain killer which was delicious! We had a very friendly, but overall inattentive waiter. Again, we were shoved in the back corner so perhaps that's why.

This place is just fantastic. I can't think of a better way to describe it. This is my third visit…read moreto Miracle Louisville for the 2nd year. Last year, the bartender basically poured us like 3/4 drinks for free after our time. This year was much of the same. You make reservations for a time, it's like $5 each and you get a nice table. However, the website doesn't allow for single reservations. If you go in nice as a single, on a quieter night, you can usually grab a table if one is left inside. Or, they have a ton of (chilly) outdoor seating. The whole place is decorated to hell; it's pretty awesome for small town living outside Boulder. There's plenty of pictures to be had. The glassware is amazing too, lots of designs great for the photo. One hiccup- you're paying for the glitz. It's $8/shot and $16 for each drink. But, they're tasty and generally get the job done. Let me just say as well, the guys working tonight were beyond awesome. Two of them were working both the bar and front of house, and basically just going non stop for hours. Good for them. Both were costumed and very! friendly and didn't show any signs of frustrations. The eggnog shot is awesome, smooth and sweet and gets you going. I've had the Cricket (green minty drink), the Elf-int Around, a mulled wine type cocktail, and the Jingle Balls Nog. Each was great in its own way. I think if you stick to these three, it won't be too crazy. They have almost a dozen options-you pay for it, but to be honest, it's fun to spend a little extra on some holiday cheer!

The place looks festive, all decorated for the Holidays with thousands of lights, candy canes, trees and reindeers. There are individual heated greenhouses, and plenty of tables under two big tents. The atmosphere is over the top kitschy and fun. Since we were a group of 10, the greenhouses were too small so we were seated under one of the tents. We had made reservations (there is a mandatory $5 fee going to a local charity) and were ready for the cold, with coats and blankets, just in case. We were surprised that it was far from full, we actually were the only ones parked under the big tent, just a few greenhouses were occupied. We enjoyed the cocktails, not cheap at $14 each but tasty an strong, all made specially for the season with flavors such as nutmeg, marshmallow, vanilla... The menu is limited, focused on cocktails with a few wines and beer, a couple snacks. I had the Christmapolitan (with vodka, elderflower, vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary and absinthe mist) yummy! The popcorn was disappointing though, it came in a bag (like the ones you pop in the microwave, except the package was more like Holiday wrapping paper). It definitively was not fresh, tasted a little stale. After a while, despite our coats we were getting really cold and asked our waiter if he could switch on the fireplace next to us. Too bad, we were told that it's for show, the regulations don't allow them to use it. There was no heat under that big tent and it was getting chilly. Overall, that night, despite the decorations, our group felt a little lost under that huge tent. I bet it feels totally different when it's packed, but during the week it was a little dead. There is a 20% discount for groups that they forgot about. When we asked about it, it became impossible to get checks separate per couple. Supposedly the system is not set up for it. When we left, our impression was that when you include the mandatory $5 reservation fee, it's adds up to an expensive drink that's not really worth it. And we were cold! Once again, it might be a very different experience during weekends. If you want to get a souvenir, no worries, it's all setup for it, you can buy glassware and gifts. This was not my idea of a fun evening, and I don't think I'll go back.

The service is great, super sweet and friendly, did not pressure or rush us! The food was great, so great, no photos. Apps: We tried the seasonal salad which was refreshing, but too light on the dressing. Eggplant: nice and crispy with such a delicious sauce pairing Brussels Sprouts: i loved the apple inclusion. Food: Ciopinno: the broth was super nice and light. Delicious seafood bites, wish it came with more noodles and a soup spoon. Wild Boar Pappedelle: great thick sauce with perfectly cooked noodles Shrimp Scampi: literally delicious and lighter than a typical alfredo heavy. Penne Alla Vodka: disliked the subdried tomatoes but everything else was great. The scallops were also a bit rubbery. Just left them on the side. Desserts: Affogato: chose chocolate as my ice cream/gelato Tiramisu: lovely and light, wish it was a bit heavier on espresso Chocolate Mouse: decadent and chefs kiss ending to a dinner.

It's a classy Italian restaurant. From the outside it looks like an average place in a strip mall, but when you enter the walls, decor, and ambiance change and teleport you to Italy. Well done. The beer menu is legendary with tons of amazing beers. The wine selection is really good. All the food here is really good. I always get too full and can't have dessert. The salmon and lasagna are exquisite. I'll come back for those. Service is great, attentive and quick.
