Clothes Mentor smells so good that it sets your mood to shopping therapy mode ;-) They accepts cash or credit card payment. I could have given a 5 star rating however some of the staff were very insensitive to walk-in customers, most especially to those who don't speak or understand English at all. I saw the expression on their faces the dismay when an elderly customers ask and they seem to be not so helpful. You could hear the same answer like "whatever is out there is what we have". Also, some of them choose to greet whoever they want to greet that day. Very much commend one the clothes specialist working there named Linda, she was very polite, engaged in a conversation, and smiling the whole time. Lots of parking. Store hours Monday to Saturday starts at 10 am to 8 pm. Sundays open at 12 noon and closes early at 6pm. Still itching to spend your hard earned money? Walmart, Sketchers, Hobby Lobby and some other stores are open and just a few meters apart from each other.

If you usually go to thrift stores, some stuff may seem pricy for used. But some still will seem decent. Quality of stuff is from ok to very good. And some new with tags. I do think they sometimes take in "name" stuff like lululemon that has more wear or older styles just because of the name. While other brands, they strictly use date codes and won't take if it doesn't look close to new. Kinda interesting. One note: if you sell to them, be prepared to be in shock at the prices you get offered. It's low. Why? So they can stay in business. It's a good way to do it if you don't care and just want stuff gone. But it's often a deflated feeling because even with they're targeted brands I leave with much of what I came in with and the rest seems like pennies on the dollar. Again though, they know what sells and they know how to buy low to sell as they do and stay afloat so I don't blame them. Either way, I enjoy it and like stopping in to see what's new. I rarely leave empty handed.

I walked further and at least found a whole wall socks. They at least had a smart wool socks and they were on sale for $13 a pair. I was able to buy almost $200 worth of socks for both of us. At least our feet will be warm the rest of the cool cold weather until spring returns. Might be good to swap out socks today, it's bitterly cold outside. The checkout area reminds me of a TJ Maxx or Marshalls. It announces when the cashier is free and their number for their counter.

A small space microwave, toaster oven, trivet, oven mitts and pads, utensil caddy, tongs, spatula, 3M hooks for hanging items in the kitchen and break room area on the wall and whatever other items I could think of that might be good for our break. I wanted the Black and Decker microwave, but they had none, so I ended up with the Kenmore instead. Although I wasn't able to find the coffee maker pad, I was looking for or the utensil caddy. I'm hoping I can improvise with other items instead. $260 later. I got just about everything on my buy list.

Today I flew in from Tampa to Michigan in extremely cold weather. I was rushing to prepare for a…read more3:00 PM professional event and realized I had accidentally left my cell phone charger at home. I arrived at Walmart around 2:46 PM, quickly grabbed a phone charger, and stood in line at the electronics register behind another customer. After waiting in line patiently, the cashier waited until it was finally my turn to inform me, "Oh, you can take that up front. He just had something locked." This meant I had to walk all the way to the front of the store again and check out there, which defeated the purpose of waiting in the electronics line. The issue isn't the direction to pay upfront -- it's the lack of proactive communication and customer consideration. If the cashier had simply informed me before I waited, I could have avoided unnecessary delay while already pressed for time. Customer service means being clear, helpful, and considerate. A simple statement like, "you can pay for that up front so you don't have to wait here," would have saved time and shown professionalism and courtesy. I am submitting this because I believe customer service training in awareness and communication would greatly improve customer experience. I wasn't asking for convenience, just basic courtesy.
