Greetings, My house had various outside issues needing remediation. The most important issue was the dry rot in the supporting porch beams. I interviewed several contractors and the only person that truly understood the situation and work required was Ed Derweesh of Home Improvement. Ed and his team reviewed all the issues. For the dry rot in the supporting beam and elsewhere, they identified what caused the problems and developed and implemented solutions to prevent the problems from recurring. We worked with Ed, the owner, and his staff for a major renovation of our kitchen. This included demo of all existing cabinets and flooring, installation of new flooring (in not just the kitchen), all new cabinets and granite countertop, and even assistance with working in an existing microwave/hood that didn't really work with how the job was initially planned out. Through the whole job I found Ed and his staff extremely easy to work with. The quality and pricing were exceptional which allowed us to have a kitchen that was fantastic without having to incur tremendous debt. There were several issues they dealt with - the largest being an installation of a new subfloor once we found out our existing one was in bad need of repair. Each time, Ed was fair with his pricing and professional in discussing it with me. He genuinely worked to ensure that I was satisfied with the end product and how they got there. I would recommend them to anyone, especially in how competitive their pricing is. They are a small shop and locally owned so it is a great opportunity to invest in our community (instead of going to a "big box" like Lowe's/HD or such).
