I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

We have friends & professionals who have built/renovated many houses all exclaim what a high-end luxe job this was! We could not have done this without Greenberg. In particular, we worked with the wonderful Ohad Sherion throughout the process who managed all the subs, city departments involved, neighbors, vendors, etc. Our attention was elsewhere as we were very busy with our work, caring for our elders, so it was invaluable that Ohad kept us up-to-date throughout the process. Ohad was able to make our wishes come true, including bathrooms with custom tiles that were no longer available--so he found us an artisan who recreated them by hand. To make the small space look and feel spacious, we went with an open concept which left few walls to hang art. From the beginning, we worked with Ohad to create a design to showcase our art collection. Ohad is persistent and works to get projects not only functional but beautiful. For example, we have a unique front door which needed to be tweaked and he patiently worked with subs to make it happen. My husband was thrilled that we ended up with a house with superb insulation (including sound), up-to-date plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems. He feels great about the new roof and solar panels. But I am in love with the amazing personal details that make this place a home (finally). We are so grateful to Ohad. He'd worked with one of our friends previously, and so we knew he'd do a great job for our project. We also loved Greenberg's integrated approach. The architect, constructions, design and management was all done by Greenberg. This meant that the project from top to bottom was aligned with the team actually doing the construction work. My top priorities were 1) a modern home design 2) a job done with high quality 3) low stress. Ohad / Greenberg helped deliver on all of these aspects in spades. The last thing I wanted to do was have to coordinate with flaky contractors, have to re-do low quality work after a long day at work. Ohad kept the project on track and handled all the hassle of dealing with subcontractors & inspectors. Greenberg probably won't be the cheapest contractor you'll talk to, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. Quality work, up to code, and no drama is well worth the cost. Ohad worked with us throughout the project to consider different budget options, and gave candid advice about where he thought the budget would be best spent. Overall, highly recommend. I was referred by a friend and have put multiple friends in touch with Greenberg for their projects as well. We had an ongoing leak from the roof into our living room that even replacing the roof did not…read moresolve. The suspicion was that it was from the chimney and I hired Zack and team to replace the trim around it. When they came, they went above and beyond to pinpoint the exact location it's coming from by going on the roof with a hose and opening up light fixtures from the living room to take pictures inside. They were able to find the exact spot and seal it as well as replacing all the rotten wood we had around the chimney. Finally no more pots and pans for us! We are very grateful for the hard work and the dedication that they put into solving our issue. The pricing was very fair as well. When we were finally ready to revisit it, they were willing to honor the original estimate, which we really appreciated. There were just so many pieces that had to fit together. This is where a real experienced contractor pays off. Once again our choice in using IKB was validated. Keith and Tyler, IKB's builders, the designers, Lucy the project manager, all the office staff and subcontractors were so great to work with. I would call my design style "Industrial bohemian". When our designer said "we can work with that" I was surprised and delighted. Our new guest bathroom is exactly that, industrial bohemian. Who knew? For the rest of it, selecting lighting, doors, door handles, every nut and bolt can be exhausting but it all came together at the end. We started with IKB when we remodeled an outdated master bathroom. We were so impressed with the IKB designers & builders, Keith and Tyler, that we signed on to get a kitchen remodel as well. During the kitchen remodel, we decided to live in our house during the entire process, setting up an outdoor kitchen in our backyard and eating out. Keith, Tyler & the subcontractors became like family to us. As a professional chef and restaurateur, I knew my way around kitchen design. Home design materials are not as durable as professional materials but professional materials are not beautiful. The IKB designers were able to help us find tough, durable materials that were beautiful and timeless looking. After 13 years, people still marvel at how beautiful our kitchen design is. IKB was able to finish 3 weeks earlier than expected! Any good craftsman will tell you that a good outcome depends on the prep. You can't make a great meal unless you use great ingredients. The same thing goes for construction projects. If you don't do your work prior to starting your project, it will not go smoothly and you will not be happy with the results. IKB does the work, and they take pride in the results.

What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.
