They installed the wrong windows and doors. They said they would replace them with the ones we were supposed to get but they keep ducking our calls. The doors that were installed have gaps all around them which makes them less energy efficient than the old doors they were replacing. They also damaged the light next to the door outside during the door installation. On top of the poor quality and sub par installation, we were told we would have to pay more money to get the doors we wanted in the first place even though it was their mistake on the ordering form. They say that if a window were to break all we would need to do would be to call them, but we've been doing that for 2 months now and no one answers the phones! read more

I went with these guys because they were the cheapest of the three quotes I got for some sliding basement windows. All of these companies push a generic window (versus something like a Pella) and they're usually of comparable quality, at least amongst generics. The windows do seem fine, so that's why this isn't a one star review. But these are the major issues: 1) Delays/scheduling. All the windows in my basement are the same size. They came out once to measure and provide a quote. Once I agreed to the project, they came back two weeks later....just to measure again. I have no idea why they needed to measure again, other than to do the following: 2) Wrong window size. We asked for exact replacements of the sliding windows we had. They were custom windows, so we were told this was no problem. But Home Pro gave us *considerably* smaller windows than what were originally in the basement. How could they get windows which were several inches smaller in height and width to fit, you ask? By spending half of a day "building up" the area around the window with pieces of trim...then more pieces of trim...then more pieces of trim. The final result looks okay, but the windows are yet again CONSIDERABLY smaller than the ones we replaced. That was really, really shady. 3) The installers, despite these windows not being very big, made a ton of scratches/scrapes/gouges all over the wall underneath the windows. Again, they didn't say a word. Anyway, not cool, Home Pro. If you get a job done with these guys, you need to make sure when they're "measuring" for your windows, you get the same size you had before. Wouldn't have thought I would have had to watch that, but I guess you learn something new every day. read more

Home Pro - Valparaiso, IN has apparently gone AWOL. In early September 2018, Home Pro installed two sliding glass doors in my home. One was damaged for which they had to reorder and it was replaced almost two months later in late October. Since that time, I have had a problem with one of the doors pouring in water every time it rains. I placed a service call in early November when it first happened. I again called in December and was told they were behind due to the weather and holiday vacations. However, they still have not come to make the repairs. I have been calling every week and still no response. They change the signs weekly on their door to say they are closed for that specific week but to call their phone number to make an appointment. However, none of my calls have been answered. This isn't the only problem I have but I was willing to let the others go. They busted my entry way ceramic tile during installation but failed to report it. My husband saw it & discussed it with the owner who stopped by to check on the installation. The owner made mention that he was aware that the tile was the original tile from 30 years ago & probably could not be replaced. I'm sure he really wasn't willing to pay to have the entire entry way floor replaced, so it was ignored by him on any of my follow-up calls. There are large air gaps which made our entry way very cold this winter. In addition, they charged me $115 for a permit that was never applied for, and they charged me an additional fee (dollar amount not written on contract) to dispose of the old doors which they did not do as my son took them away. If I could post less than one star, I would. Definitely feel cheated and plan to pursue my options. Would not recommend them under any circumstances. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. They never get back with you. I spent sooo much money on doors and windows with them. My door alone was over $5000. I contacted them and told them my door needed repair, I called them 3 times finally, I spoke with someone and they said they would call me back to schedule a repair. No one called. Then all of a sudden one day a guy just shows up. He said he was from Home Pro, I said you should've gave me the courtesy of calling. He looked at the door and said he would order the parts and I haven't heard from them since. Very unprofessional! Then I get a call from them and I thought it was to setup a repair but she was trying to sell me something smh. I told her what happened and she "oh my I'll have someone get back with you."I still never got a call!! This isn't the first time this has happened! This is unacceptable I will never again do business with them!! Horrible service! read more
