They were sure it was the fridge fan which they immediately replaced (no electronic testing gear needed?). The refrigerator/freezer worked ok for a few weeks then same issue reoccurred. They came back & replaced the thermostat but gave me a very reasonable bill for the part to pay once I was satisfied with the service call (which I paid a month later). They were careful to protect my floors while transferring the old equipment and installing the new units. They were on time, polite and worked through the oppressive heat and air pollution we experienced today. I was especially pleased that they solved a few cosmetic details that I had concerns about. They were quick to get back to us with the estimate and then scheduled the work as soon as they got the unit. I would highly recommend calling Tempco for your HV/AC needs.

In the local area (I'm in western Nassau County), Steven's Appliance Repair is the only one I know that achieves all of these. I've learned over the years that installation services provided by companies that sell appliances a) try to do the fastest job possible (not the best job as they get paid by how many they do not how well they do them) and b) cannot do anything besides just plug in the appliance (if anything extra is needed, they will not or are not allowed to do it). Therefore, I prefer to hire someone to handle my appliance needs. I called about 10 different places - most were unavailable or unwilling to come to where I live. Steven's called me on the phone quickly and met me the same day. They clearly explained what I would need to complete the installation (including instructions for electrical work needed), purchased the necessary parts and within 2 days the job was all done. Coincidentally, my oven igniter stopped working shortly after this experience and I called Steven's and a day later I had a working oven. I will definitely rely on this business for all of my future appliance needs.
