In the local area (I'm in western Nassau County), Steven's Appliance Repair is the only one I know that achieves all of these. I've learned over the years that installation services provided by companies that sell appliances a) try to do the fastest job possible (not the best job as they get paid by how many they do not how well they do them) and b) cannot do anything besides just plug in the appliance (if anything extra is needed, they will not or are not allowed to do it). Therefore, I prefer to hire someone to handle my appliance needs. I called about 10 different places - most were unavailable or unwilling to come to where I live. Steven's called me on the phone quickly and met me the same day. They clearly explained what I would need to complete the installation (including instructions for electrical work needed), purchased the necessary parts and within 2 days the job was all done. Coincidentally, my oven igniter stopped working shortly after this experience and I called Steven's and a day later I had a working oven. I will definitely rely on this business for all of my future appliance needs.

I am very sorry to have to write this review. I really wanted this to be a positive experience, but it was not. First of all it's important to know that the company does not list an address. There is only one number listed for the manager. We had a leak in our dishwasher, which appeared to be a simple issue, but the water at least needed to be turned off before complete repair was made. The repair man by the name of Luis showed up at our home and claimed he was allergic to our cat so was sneezing everywhere and did not put on a mask. In addition when he went to do the repair, he explained only partially what needed to be done because my son was under the instructions to have the repair done immediately. We did not want leaking into the lower floor. As a rest they installed the wrong part and assured us that it would work. I was not aware of this as I was not home at the time, but my son relayed the message to me. Immediately upon this man leaving, we turned on the dishwasher and it leaked the same as before if not worse. In addition when Luis left the apartment, he had loosened our faucet in our kitchen sink and left parts off of the dishwasher that were not replaced. Very sloppy work. The worst part of this has been the follow up. They promised to fix the improperly installed wrong part. When I spoke to Yaosta, the manager listed on Yelp, she assured me she had the right part and made arrangements for someone to come and fix it. We exclaimed that we did not want Luis back, but that another technician would be needed to finish this job since our experience with him was less than positive. As a result, we have yet to receive a repair person in our home. We have been promised daily that someone will show up, but I have not been given a time or a day for confirmation. In addition to that, the technician who was scheduled to come, she claims iwas in a car accident and we have yet to hear back from her on any further repair technicians. This has been going on for days. So far I have spent $200 on a repair that turned out to be a wrong part improperly installed. They have left us with a nonworking dishwasher and I am out $200. If you're wise, you will not use this company. They are unprofessional and clearly not as skilled as they claim to be. I used them because they had five star reviews, but I wonder if they were not solicited for the purposes of gaining business and not real reviews. Please research your Sources - I wish I had.
