The restaurant is a good vibe. We sat outside in the patio and it was cute. The service was good you place order at cashiers and they bring you your order wherever you sit. The pizza it's self I give the pepperoni a 4 but we also got a supreme whole pizza because they don't offer it in slices and it was not great. Wish we would've got the pepperoni in a whole instead. They make really good pizza here. Their medium pizzas are actually 16in which would be a large at most other places. Their crust is thin but not floppy like a traditional New York slice. I've had three of their vegetarian "tried & true" pizzas. I like the Eggplant Pie the best because it just taste like an eggplant parmesan on a crust. Breaded fried eggplant with a healthy dose of parmesan on the pizza. Their Spinach, Roasted Red Peppers, Green Olives, Onions is strong in flavour and quantity of toppings. However, I didn't like their Margherita pizza which doesn't have enough tomatoes or basil. It is also drowning in olive oil which didn't have any taste. If they used extra virgin, that taste was cooked out of it. Because of this, I didn't try White Pie with Spinach which also has a EVOO base. read more

I had been waiting to try this spot for a while now, and finally found myself in the area, so, I figured I would give it a try. The interior is fun and inviting. There is a nice patio, and there's seating inside. The person working the register was very friendly, and the service was great. You can watch from the lobby ad they make the pizzas and take them in and out if the pizza oven. You can also see what pizzas they have ready to sell by the slice. Each slice is large (cut from an 20" pizza). I was impressed with the menu, so, we tried a couple pizzas, calzones, and garlic knots. There are many pizzas you can choose from or you can byo. The pepperoni pizza and Margherita pizzas had great crust, but had a lingering parmesan taste. So, if you love parmesan (or oregano) you will love this sauce! Some tips: Since the food isn't incredibly flavorful you can utilize the Parmesan, peppers, and oregano that's on the table. They also have hot sauce, and you can purchase ranch. The ranch is made in house and is actually flavorful. I would consider getting a calzone over a pizza. I would also consider this spot if you've had a late weekend night in midtown as you can order by the slice and take your food to go. And if you don't want to journey downtown, you can find them available through various food delivery apps. Cheers! read more

I can't remember the name of the place that was here before, but after hearing rave reviews about this new pizza place, we had to try it. Yeah, I've said I got to church right around the corner before, but it's frequently an in-and-out thing, or I'm going to the church hall for a meal after. I'm rarely walking a block or three to go grab something to eat in the area. The interior matches the ovens that they cook the pizza in. It's a very rustic setup with a lot of brick and very compact booths that are surprisingly uncomfortable to try to eat in. The pizza is a New York style, with your common pre-built menu offerings along with a a variety of toppings that you can choose to make your own custom pizza from. Even their simple pizzas are very delicious. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into sourcing great ingredients and crafting them into pizzas that are well worth it. I was originally a bit surprised by the price, which was easily twice what you'd pay at a chain restaurant for the same size of pizza, but when you actually bite into it, it all makes sense. read more

I'm not exactly sure what this establishment was before but they have done a beautiful job in remodeling and revamping this restaurant! To be honest, I was expecting something in and out like what they have in Austin and I was pleasantly surprised that it was a whole experience! I've been sooo happy they brought Homeslice to Houston and to make it even better it is down the street! I order from this location so much and it is great every time. The staff at the counter is always friendly and fast! They have limited seating inside but plenty of seating outside in their patio that's decorated with colorful string lights. It's so pretty at night! I have tried everything from the pizzas, to the salads, to the sandwiches! My favorite things to get are the margherita pizza and the Italian sub. The Italian sub is one of the best sandwiches EVER. No exaggeration! And it is MASSIVE! My friend was excited to try this since we both love a good pizza (who doesn't right?) and made the trek here on a Saturday in August. They also have a location in Austin so there was buzz about this spot coming to H-town. Slice or whole pie? Both of those are here. They also offer salads, calzones, and subs; typical non-pizza items you'd expect to find. But let's face it, you're here for the pizza. We did a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms. Also did a meatball pizza slice as well that we split. Slices came out fairly quickly. You can tell they've been sitting out for a while as there was no cheese pull and the crust was very hard although taste is there. When the pie itself came out, the texture was much better and matched the taste. I guess you trade the convenience/timeliness of the slice for the higher quality that comes with a fresh pizza pie from the oven. Since it's located in Midtown, I'm sure I'll find myself here for a slice or two after hookah or bar visits. Knots and sub were also both great, though some were disappointed to find that the Italian comes with mayo on it. The restaurant's outdoor seating was pretty full and I imagine so was inside but I couldn't tell from my vantage point at the takeout area. The service was fast and pleasant and they had a good amount of options for carry out-- margherita, hamburger, pepperoni, cheese, vegan cheese and maybe one or two more. I just ordered a slice of cheese -- it was $4--you can't beat that. I couldn't wait to try it when I got home and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cheesy with a nice crisp! The pizza was the right amount of oily (not too much so and not dry) and the crust was perfect --not too crunchy, not too chewy.
