A good place to find interesting antiques, vintage and mid-century modern furniture, decor and art at fair prices. They also have a good selection of contemporary new and lightly used furniture, plus odds and ends. This store has a wide variety of unique and interesting items- however, the owner/staff member that I interacted with was incredibly rude and disrespectful. As a young graduate student and POC, I wasn't greeted upon arrival, and still felt watched the entire time I browsed the store. When I leaned in to take a closer look at some smaller display items the staff member (a petite Asian woman) rushed over to me and demanded that I not touch anything (I hadn't) as apparently those items were out of whatever presumed budget she assumed I had. No amount of interesting merchandise can counterbalance employees who are predatory, aggressive and biased on issues related to presumed class and race. I would absolutely not recommend as a matter of principle, which is unfortunate as the sourced items are unique and generally priced well. Additionally, if items are so fragile that a simple gaze will distress them to the point of total destruction then perhaps they shouldn't be sold. Even if certain objectives need to be maintained, there is a much better way to interact with the public and a two inch sign indicating that 'assistance is required' isn't it. That's probably why they're only able to be open four days each week because they lose potential customers due to poor customer service. read more

Kindness has always been met with kindness (and great conversation) from the owner Won, who was so affectionately dubbed "the petite asian woman." Insert sarcasm here. I have bought several pieces from Won and was never watched, or followed around the store. In fact, Won has gone out of her way to accommodate me in price and delivery (without me asking). I love her antiques and will definitely continue to shop here for many years to come. read more

Ok, I hate to jump on the bandwagon (which means I'm going to jump on the bandwagon)... The selection of merchandise is fairly good and the prices are fairly reasonable but the problem is with the manager. If I were looking for an excuse perhaps I could say it was a difference of cultures but in reality the lady is just "rude". Let me qualify "rude" for you. She acts as if interacting with customers is a burden. She will attempt to raise prices on items if she feels that they were listed underpriced. She does not make me the customer feel like I am welcome in her store. Look I get it being an independent business person is stressful. Bills, overhead, deficits, it's scary stuff... But the lifeblood of any business is it customers and for her I'm sorry to say I will not be a future customer. read more

I visited the store today to purchase GF paint for a piece that I need to paint. I was greeted by a very sweet woman. She was very helpful. Very pleased with the service and location! The store has gorgeous antiques and lots of beautiful copper in the back! read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars BC you can actually find some things that are worth your money but there are so many other places in town that you can get the same stuff AND have a better time shopping. The owner or manager of this place (not really sure, she is an Asian lady) has not class or education. I don't understand how someone can work in customer service and be so rude!! Seriously! Save yourself a bad time and stay away from this place. I prefer to pay a little bit more money or drive a little far but to have a good shopping experience. read more

This store is amazing! I love the mix of old and new. Lots of options from a variety of vendors. We were able to find vintage cast iron cookware that we had been looking for with excellent prices. Furnished a guest bedroom with unique one of a kind pieces and custom ordered a chair to go in my husband's office. The owner was a huge help and was able to put us in contact with a couple of the vendors who were able to help us locate a few items we had been looking for as well. I've only been to the Manassas store and I'm curious to see what is offered at the Woodbridge location. Not too many antiques to see during my visit, but then it was just after Christmas. They do have an antique pie safe though. So, I'm sure when the time is right the pickings can be well worth the trip. I saw lots of gaudy chandeliers that are not antiques. They do have a nice collection of fairly priced china and glassware. The young lady behind the counter is very cheerful, chatty and happy to help. read more

I had to make a yelp account JUST so I can complain about this store. I've never encountered such horrible customer service. Im not surprised there are no customers here; the owner's (manager?s) friends stopped by before I talked to her and she seemed like the sweetest lady ever, but when I came around her personality flipped 180. It was literally as if she wanted to say "please leave youre not worth my time". Ive never felt so worthless as a customer- DO NOT COME HERE. save the disappointment. read more

Home Store's website reads: our "goal is to provide the best possible experience for our shoppers." WHAT. A. JOKE!!!! I have never been treated so rudely in my life! From reading other customer reviews, I see that I am not alone in my experience. Shame on you, Home Store in Manassas! In the store, I found a pine table I was interested in. It was placed halfway on a rug and had dishes on top of it. I kindly asked the small, dark-haired lady behind the counter if it was possible to move the table off the rug and remove the dishes so I could get a true look at it. The lady was pleasant and chatted about the table as she moved it for me. I looked over the table by myself for 10-15 minutes. I liked the table, but it did have nicks, scratches, and areas of discoloration on it. At the end of the day, the table would need to be refinished. I did not think it was worth the $125 price the store was asking for it. The lady came back and asked what I thought. I told her I did like the table, but wondered if she would accept an offer other than the price tag. She responded "Well, what are you thinking?" I suggested "$80?". In that moment, the lady turned on a dime into the most rude woman I've ever encountered in any of my shopping experiences. She responded with a curt and appalled "No!", turned her back to me, and immediately started moving the table back to it's corner with a huff. Mind you, this is an antique store. The nature of antique shopping is to negotiate. I suggested $80 thinking it would be a good starting point. I expected the lady to come back with a counter-offer, not a rude attack. If she wanted to remain firm on her price, there is a nice way to say it! Nevertheless, I didn't let the lady's extreme rudeness get the best of me. As she continued to put the dishes back on the table with such disdain, I asked, "What about $90?". She snapped back, "We do not offer those kind of discounts in this store!!". I was determined to not let this lady phase me, so I chose to respond with kindness. I replied "Ok, that's too bad.", and I continued to walk around the store for a few minutes even though I was inwardly outraged and trying to make sense of how I was just treated. On my way out, the lady was back at the front desk. I called over "Bye, thank you!" and she didn't even look up from her desk. BOTTOM LINE: I am not the only customer who has been treated this way. The employees at Home Store in Manassas are clearly the common denominator--Rude, curt, snappish, and just plain mean! Do yourself a favor, and DO NOT SHOP HERE! read more

Horrible customer service. Me and my girlfriend were having a conversation between ourselves about some chairs and then the lady came over and said I have more of them. We said it won't match our dining room table and she gets pissed says whatever and goes to the back of the store and shuts the door. Horrible!! Even down talking her own customers to us saying horrible things about them. Good furniture but even if we found something there we would not have bought from her. read more

Do NOT waste your time in this store! We only went there because we heard they carry milk paint & our interior decorator referred us there as we are remodeling our daughter's bedroom. After finding they had only 1 quart size of the color we needed and 2 pint sized the store clerk who is a heavy set gal with black hair told us the quart size is $34 and the pint sized are $22/each. We need at least 3 quarts so my husband asked due the difference in price would they be getting any more quart size in stock in the near future. She immediately became defensive saying it's based on demand so probably not in the next several weeks or months. My husband then asked about pricing since they don't have a big demand and could they sell the 2 pints at the quart price since we could get it on Amazon but chose to shop local. Her response was "Then get it on amazon!" My husband said it's your choice and she basically said it is what it is and do what you gotta do. When we asked why she was being so rude she raised her voice saying she didn't know when the owner was going to order more & they were the only local business that sells it so good luck. We asked the owner's name & she refused to tell us. We asked her name & all she would say is "My Dad developed 1/2 of Prince William County & is a VERY rich man" I guess we were supposed to be impressed but we weren't. When we told her we owned a business around the corner & have for 30 years & try to support local businesses she said she didn't care & asked us to leave the store. We did gladly and will NEVER support this business. By the way, a great place in Leesburg carries the same paint. We'll be going there even though it's 30 minutes away. read more
