On my most recent trip, a bar fight broke out, but our waiter James handled this with ease... even though he got punched in the face. We tipped him well. Food is always fantastic. The manager, owner/operator, a gentleman with a shaved head told me it was our fault for not being aware of the situation around us. This all while he busied himself doing shots behind the bar. With all due respect, he did comp our tab,l (which was not our goal) and we asked a bartender to ring up $1 so we could tip the staff, which we did. A lot smaller. It wasn't dirty but something about it simply jive with what I was thinking of. I received an email from Modern Market in mid September with $2 off at my next visit so I tried to use it. The guy behind the register (who was very nice to me) said I had to claim the offer through the app but there was nothing indicated in the email that I would need to do so. Fortunately, he kindly offered me the $2 off as "Thank Guest Recovery" (that's what I saw on the receipt.) I got lucky here courtesy of the guy's generous gesture. I went with the Tofu bowl with thr fire roasted veggies and the garlic mashed potatoes. He was very kind and patient with me throughout the whole ordering process. Now once I got to my car, I opened the container and darn!! I complete spaced out for not asking them to modify the plate a bit. Modern Market's rice is premixed with quinoa. I cannot eat quinoa as I'm allergic to it (I needed to ask for cauliflower rice instead.) I was sooooo bummed. Well, this was my mistake so going back inside and asking for modifications would not be fair to them so I simply discarded the rice into the trash (food abuse or what!!!) Service was good at this location (my impression is that Modern Market truly focuses on good customer service no matter where I go.) The Tofu tasted okay but the fire roasted veggies and the garlic mashed potatoes were old (they appeared to have sit on the warmer for hours was the impression I got; they simply didn't look fresh at all.) Well, it wasn't a horrible experience but I guess I'll stick to my regular location in Greenwood Village going forward.
