    Chicken Parmesan sandwich
    Chelsea R.

Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. The tiramisu is great, deli sandwiches fantastic. The flavor of the chicken parm sandwich was unreal but I didn't love the texture of the chicken so I'd probably grab a meatball or deli turkey next time! Can't wait to come back and try pasta and their take and bake selections. Also pleasantly surprised with the size of the kid sandwich.

Local gem, absolutely love Lou's! It is an excellent spot for Italian food, especially sandwiches. Always hits the spot. I've tried a few sandwiches from here, and they are all great. The chicken and meatball parms are my favorite. The sauce was delicious, bread was light yet crisp, and was filling. The mozzarella sticks here are also incredible. It's the breading where you know it's an elite mozz stick as soon as you see it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is prompt and friendly, and location is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a good assortment of drinks too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio and bocce is a nice touch while waiting or eating, although it is not exactly a calm and quiet street outside. But the inside is very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend and come back here often for a good sandwich!

Pretty decent sandwich. Large portion. I wish it was a bit more seasoned . Service was fine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is casual[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Would eat there again.

Ordered the sandwiches to go but the person we picked up from was nice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a pretty decent sized place too which is just since they're pretty popular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was also clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sandwiches/wrap was good too just pretty one dimensional I guess. You'd think they have more flavor but it was still tasty. Their portions are huge!!!! Prices definitely reflect the size, i'd recommend trying this spot at least once. Great mozzarella sticks!

As a Jersey native, I was excited to try this place. The menu reminded me of classic Italian spots back home. The meal didn't disappoint either, though I suspect some of the best dishes are the ones I couldn't try due to dietary restrictions (I don't eat pork, so the Italian sub was out). We shared mozzarella sticks, which were perfect. I also got the chopped salad, which was good but would have been better with some Gorgonzola. At least, that's how my favorite spot back home made it, so it almost hit the nostalgia itch but not quite. I got the eggplant parm sandwich. The bread was fresh and toasty, the eggplant was cooked just right, and the sauce was warm and tangy. I do think the proportion of ricotta was a little overwhelming, but that's me. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. The soda and deli selection was on point.

Sandwiches are my love language. No, really! The rents and I ventured over to Lou's after a busy morning and welcomed the opportunity to sit, chat and nosh on delicious eats! Having heard good things about this spot, I was excited to see what the fuss was about. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is cute, quaint and Italian deli - meets market and dining space. Although small, it works and is cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We searched their massive menu to land on two simple, yet fan favorite sammies - ** The Louie - traditional Italian - Genoa Salami, Capicola, Ham, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mayo, EVO, Red Wine Vinegar! ** a toasted Panini - Italian Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Roasted Red Peppers, Balsamic! Equipped with rounds of chips, drinks (NA beers, yasss!), our sammies came out within 5 minutes and were SO fresh, delicious and totally hit the spot! YUMMMM! Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful when it came to the menu and made us feel right at home! I can't wait to come back!

We got takeout tonight and Lous just hit the spot on a cold winter night! I got the gnocchi and it was absolutely fire! Huge chunks of cheese and gooey gnocchi. It was so good and came with a side of toasted bread. I got to try a bite of my husband's chicken Parm sandwich and it was so good and hearty. Great sandwich spot in Denver!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a cute little spot for Italian sandwiches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I cannot remember which sandwich I ordered but the flavors were excellent. Everything from the meat to the cheese blended really well together. I never thought of using balsamic vinegar in a sandwich but it was actually kinda perfect. I think I'll switch out mayo for it every now and then when I make my own sandwiches. Anyways, the sandwich was big. I think I got a full sandwich and there was so much food stuffed into one. Definitely best to share with someone else (or you can order two sandwiches and split them to try more). The Arancini Balls were also much bigger than I was expecting. Service was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is quite limited inside. They do have seating outside as well. When we went, it was raining so everyone was crammed indoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Located on the edge of five points, this Italian deli gives me quintessential old school NY vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their menu is exhaustive and they even have a bocce court in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a nice selection of Italian sandwiches both hot and cold, as well as some tasty treats. Their wedding cookie and chocolate were to die for. Don't let the half sandwich portion mislead you, you'll be mighty full. The full should only be reserved for those who are starving, but actually. I will certainly be back.

    Phil S.

One of the best sandwiches in Denver! Always prepared fresh and ingredients that reflect quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Whether taking it to go or sitting down and enjoying the delicious ambiance, you won't be disappointed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is top tier and always friendly.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Busy store with many interesting options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We stopped at Lou's while driving to the Denver Airport to buy sandwiches to eat on our flight. The store is is located near Interstate 70.

    Severino Grande (may be misspelled)
    Denise H.

We had sandwiches delivered to the hotel. Mozzarella sticks - nicely cooked, tasty marinara dipping sauce Meatball sub - nice size meatballs, wish it had a bit more sauce Severino Grande (sp) - delicious and plentiful meats, too much lettuce but great flavor! Macaroni salad - tasty, did not taste premade. Overall satisfying lunch!

Lou's is a bit out of my way and I hate the parking situation, so I had not visited in quite some time. However, it was an off hour and I had a yen for a good sandwich, so I made the trip. I turned right on 33rd Avenue--just before getting to the restaurant--and was easily able to find parking. There's also a well-defined crosswalk on Downing at that point, so I was able to cross to Lou's side of the street without difficulty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop was as charming as ever, jammed full of a wide variety of deli items ranging from meats and cheeses to drinks, frozen items, breads, pastries, a wide choice of salads, and some grocery items.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's very limited seating inside, but a nice patio outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu includes appetizers, green salads, a large variety of deli salads, half a dozen hot entrées, paninis, hot and cold sandwiches, and a nice case of pastries. Lou's also does catering and box lunches. I had ordered on the Web site. A friendly staffer handed me my well-packaged bag of goodies. I ordered the Louie, an Italian sandwich with salami, capicola, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, olive oil, and red wine vinegar plus a pasta salad. Both items were very fresh and absolutely delicious. The roll was authentic and toothsome. The half sandwich I ordered was reasonably priced, generous, and filled me up. I definitely need to see Lou again and soon!

Catering order: Arancini Balls, Cannoli (Small), couple different kinds of sandwiches and a salad

Tbh reserving felt…read moresuper stressful but I guess that kind of the culture nowadays with the rules, credit card down, and showing up on time with a 10min leeway. However, we ended up showing up an hour before our reservation hoping to just get seated and we got in right away. Cassey was our incredible waiter and he made the night very memorable. After learning it was our first time there, he very patiently walked us through the menu and how the restaurant generally worked with serving sizes. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ambience was great and cozy. We sat on the patio and it was mildly windy but it still felt nice being kept away in a corner of downtown. Starting with the appetizers, you HAVE TO get the burrata with some bread. It's the perfect flavor combination with the texture of the bread crumbs. Absolutely delicious. The salad was also a really great refreshing balance with the heavier burrata and bread. It's such a simple salad with the most amazing flavors of pickled shallots, buttermilk dressing, and Parmesan. They truly have some of the best cheeses ever. For the mains, I got the lobster tagliatelle and my partner got the lamb rigatoni. We also got smashed potatoes to share with cheese. Everything was impeccable. I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. The service is impeccable and Cassey was the best company to have around to talk about celebrations, house of dragon, and having a good night. Thanks for making my birthday a great experience!

We were seated at the front by the window, which was nice. It did get a little hot in the restaurant as more people arrived, since it has been unusually warm in Denver this season. We split six plates and were stuffed by the time the celebratory dessert arrived. We started with the burrata, which paired well with apple butter and pickled apples. The arancini was a fusion of Indian spiced cauliflower with mint-cilantro yogurt raita. My favorite of the Spuntini dishes was the Granchio--jumbo lump crab served over a crispy potato cake with butternut squash and a perfect 63 ° egg. We split two Primi dishes: their special of the day pasta, and the Cappellini Aglio e Olio. The Cappellini was amazing--a perfect blend of Indian spices, breadcrumbs, and another 63 ° egg. Yum.
