My husband and I are neighborhood locals and finally had the chance to walk over for a delicious dinner. Before dining in, we tried their Hawaiian pizza to go, and it was some of the best pizza around--hands down! Highly recommend. Let's get straight to the food--we ordered the chicken and shrimp scampi, scallop pappardelle in an herb cream sauce, a Caesar salad, and garlic knots. Everything we had was absolutely delicious! We were not disappointed one bit. I can confidently say we're foodies, and we didn't come in with any particular expectations--but we'll definitely be making this a regular spot in our restaurant repertoire. Not only was the food great, but the staff was wonderful as well. It was so nice to see families of all ages being welcomed and thoughtfully accommodated. Pomodoro's on Monaco is very good! I love the red and white tablecloths, the cozy booths, the friendly servers, and the cleanliness. In this expensive economy, the portions are large, prices are realistic, and the food is very good. I really enjoy the eggplant parm, the tortellini, and the mussels, just to mention a few items. I wish the free garlic knots were cooked a little more on the inside, but the flavor is garlicky, delicious. I find the pizza to be fair, but I know my standards are extremely high. I am looking forward to trying many more entrees! My gluten-free, dairy-free friend loved the pasta primavera with gluten-free pasta, olive oil, garlic, and loaded with fresh vegetables. Parking is plentiful in the lot. I was there for a late lunch the last time, and I noticed all the staff at a table having lunch together. All other patrons were gone, and the staff was having conversation and enjoying their food. It was lovely to see. read more

Have been wanting to try this place for a while. Very good. Full bar, decent wine selection. Got the veal special and asked they change it to Marsala vs Parmigiana, which they happily did. Only issue not warranting five stars is that they charge a service fee for using a credit card. No bueno. It's 2025. No one carries cash to go out to dinner. Drop the service charge. I ordered the Margarita Pizza. There was hardly any cheese on it, the crust was very thin. I had also asked for fresh garlic, but didn't realize it was $2.50 extra :-0 Waitresses need to tell you if there is an "Up-Charge" for something you ordered. The waitress offered to have different one made, but after they brought that one. I was very disappointed in the pizza and would not order it again. I ate 1 slice and left the rest, 6 slices. I am very basic and get pepperoni pizza anywhere I go for pizza. This is one of the best I've had in the Denver area. The sauce and crust are for sure homemade and scratched my itch for a comfort meal. I also got some spaghetti and meatballs that I forgot to take a picture of, but my husband and I agree that the sauce was also homemade and incredible. We've been there a couple of times, both times my wife had the chicken français, which she absolutely loved, I had a meat lovers pizza, and a supreme pizza, and they were both awesome! Stay for the garlic knots but go for the friendly service and stuffed ravioli! Holy smokes! This place is a gem. Cannot stress this enough -- go and support them! It's in a weird strip mall, yes, but don't let that deceive you! They are next to Rosenburgs bagels by the Hobby Lobby on Monaco. We sat in the bar area and I'm glad we did, we love people watching and it didn't disappoint. I got the eggplant Parmesan and my boyfriend got the chicken and shrimp scampi! Sooooo yummy! Garlic knots came with the meal -- best ones we have ever tasted! Perfect little morsels. Glass of Chianti to balance out the meal ..just incredible. First time at new location. Extensive menu. Lots of choices. Bread rolls with marinara sauce was very good. The Caesar salad was average- it needed more cheese and a heartier dressing. Four of us each had a different entree. None of the entrees were exceptional - just average. The portion sizes were generous. The service was good. The interior has had little changed and looks like the same restaurant when it was the Monaco Inn. read more

I am getting so tired of restaurants that don't update the prices on their websites. Our calamari was supposed to be $18.49 per their website, but we were charged $19.50. With tax and a 20% tip we paid $25.15 for the appetizer. It was good, but I probably would not order again. read more

I have only tried Pomodoros at a different location and I will definitely stick with that location in the future. Ordered 2 pasta meals for pickup on toast tab on a Saturday night. Estimated pickup time was 15 minutes later. I figured that probably wasn't accurate for a Saturday night, but got there 20 minutes after I ordered just to be sure. Arrived and was ignored at the host stand for 20 minutes, along with several other people! NO ONE was greeted and it appeared there was no host? I kept being ignored and pushed to the side until I finally asked the busy bartender if he could please help me out. He did his best, but I ended up waiting at the restaurant 45 minutes for my pickup order (65 minutes after I ordered)! The food was delicious, they put extra garlic knots and a slice of cake in my bag, but I'll still be going to a different location next time! read more

This restaurant took over the location of the Monaco Inn which I patronized. A neighbor friend told me about Pomodoro's other restaurant in Aurora and raved about how fantastic it was so I have eagerly looked forward to dining at this new location . The problem with high expectations is often those high expectations are not met in reality. However, my recent experience during my first visit to this restaurant proved it is everything and more I had hoped it would be. Another person's review I had read prior to my visit in order to possibly see what dishes were especially delectable talked glowingly about the mussels so I ordered the appetizer size portion and supplemented it with a side of cappellini in a very tasty clam sauce. That order was accompanied by four delectable garlic knots perfectly seasoned with salted butter and garlic- yum! This combination was deliciously satisfying and sufficed, quantity-wise, as a perfect dinner portion. On my next already planned and soon to happen visit, I plan on ordering the lasagna so many patrons have spoken highly of. However, I have a feeling virtually every dish served in this establishment is savory and the portions are generous ( always great to have delectable leftovers for lunch the next day- no muss, no fuss)! This will definitely become one of my new go to restaurants and I suspect that shortly reservations may be a good idea given the buzz about this place. However, since I typically sit at the bar at establishments I dine at, reservations shouldn't pose a problem at least for a while. I would be remiss if I did not mention how personable and amiable all the various Pomodorians who served me in my maiden voyage to this wonderful restaurant were and that part of my dining experience correspondingly enhanced my dining enjoyment. This is a new restaurant in this area but their original and 1st location is in Aurora. We kept it simple with vodka sauce, puttanesca, eggplant Parm. All three were extremely delicious! The garlic knots were perfection! I also like the signage outside. Now onto my feedback about the ambience. Brace yourself, this might sound harsh, but I only share facts. This used to be the Monaco Inn for many decades and it looks as though they have not updated the interior much. I would highly recommend changing the lighting to warmer colored 2,700k lightbulbs so it feels cozy as well as painting the high ceilings a much darker color. This would help bring the focus down to the tables and people in the space . It would also be nice to put up warm wood paneling on the walls around the tables so it has that Italian bistro feel. Add some flowers and candles and lower the chandeliers or get rid of them and bring in some more warm lighting on other ways and you'll have yourself a much more enjoyable atmosphere. Currently it feels a little bit like a large senior citizen's home with the bright light blue 5,000k LED lightbulbs in the wall fixtures and in the chandelier and the gray colored walls. read more

We had heard positive reviews, so we arranged to have a birthday luncheon at this new restaurant. Fortunately the birthday couple with us enjoyed their lunch of shrimp and pasta. Maybe because my wife and I are of Italian heritage, that we are picky about our pasta. Sad to say, our traditional pasta w/meat dishes were absolutely horrible. My sauce seemed to be day old and had the consistency of canned dog food. My wife and I prefer andante pasta, however, her pasta resembled straw. Rather expensive for such a terrible meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the tables far enough apart that it was easy to talk. We split a Caesar salad and had two different pasta dishes. We went here for the first time. Very, very good. You won't be disappointed. It still says "Monaco Inn" on the awnings but that will change. The sign, however, says Pomodoro on the facade. Nice portions, fresh, tasty garlic knots. Good staff. We will be going back. They repainted and replaced the aging tables, chairs and booths and brightened up the lighting from the previous restaurant. read more

We ate at the new location this evening. Hubby & I shared a large garden side salad, which was terrific - lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, carrots, radish. We had homemade balsamic dressing on the side - it was light and flavorful. We also shared a plate of Tilapia Francese. It was light with a flavorful sauce. It came with spaghetti noodles and broccoli. The portion was huge - it easily fed the 2 of us and could have served 3. We were also served 3 garlic knots, which were soft and delicious, especially with the sauce. The servers were friendly and cheerful, despite being rushed with an almost-full house.
