Stayed here for a business trip. Couple thing to know - gps tries to take you you to the back of the building. If you go down one more set of lights it's the front door. There is a walking path out front to the shopping plaza /grocery store but if you go through the plaza and cross the street there is a beautiful park! The round trip walk is about 1.5 miles. Now the hotel itself my room was spacious and clean. The staff friendly. Breakfast every day was lovely! Overall good value for the money! read more

Not quite as good as a typical Residence Inn The breakfast has the minimum amount of options that you might expect to find. The breakfast area closes at 9 AM on weekdays. The housekeeping is superficial. The hotel is located right off Route 30. Our room was on the highway side on the top floor and we heard the traffic all night. The staff was adequate. read more

Imagine paying $320 a night for a hotel room for three people, only to find one of the beds broken--with a note from management saying they already knew it was broken. When you ask for a fix, they offer you the worst room in the hotel: right next to the rear entrance, across from the laundry, gym, and pool. Basically, a parade outside your door all night. So you accept an air mattress from the indifferent staff--only to discover the other bed's mattress is so bad your feet are higher than your head. If that sounds appealing, you can experience it yourself at the Lancaster Residence Inn Marriott, for the low price of $320 a night. I used to stay at Marriotts because they meant consistency, comfort, and decent service. Now it's a coin toss. If you get a bad room, the staff won't help--not because they're bad people, but because they've clearly stopped caring. I'm not picky; I just want to sleep. Marriott has become a budget chain charging midrange-to-luxury prices. Do yourself a favor: gamble somewhere else. read more

Residence Inn might be the benefactor of extremely lowered expectations, but I have to say that I was blown away by my stay here; for multiple reasons. First, I must admit that I knew nothing of Lancaster PA, other than that I was told it was basically ground zero for Amish/Mennonite people. I was expecting to be in the absolute boonies, with horse drawn buggies and wooden butter churns, but the area around Residence Inn was a SPRAWLING civilization. You literally don't need to travel more than a quarter of a mile to do anything. I'm talking, Wegmans supermarket, Reel movie theatre, Millers Sports Bar, Menchies fro-yo, Shake Shake, additional shopping, etc, within WALKING DISTANCE. And not like, GOOD walking distance; I'm talking a 3 minute walk, most of which is a paved path down a hill. There is a phenomenal, huge park ACROSS THE STREET. The location of RI couldn't have been better. Also, again, thinking that I was going to be in 1800's America, Lancaster was SHOCKINGLY progressive! Everyone, of every flavor was getting along splendidly. The hotel itself was quite impressive. I believe RI is classified as an "extended stay" hotel, and I am, unfortunately well versed in extended stays. I have put in a long bid at Extended Stay America, and RI has that place beat to death, in every way. The rooms and grounds were immaculate. The amenities modern. There was a pool, a gym, business center, sitting area with roaring firepit, etc. It was just such a nice stay. There was a breakfast buffet every morning that is loaded, that they even keep it open 10 minutes past the cut off time, to allow you late risers an opportunity to grub. RI is the absolute Galant to Extended Stay Americas Goofus. There were no fights, no cops, no trash, no broken amenities, etc, etc. I didn't hear a single damn person during quiet times, even though the hotel was PACKED, judging by the parking lot. I barely heard people AT ALL, and even then, only in common areas. Not a PEEP was heard room to room. I would stay in this hotel every single time I came to this area, if I were ever going to be in the area again. The front desk people were pleasant, the custodial staff were nice, the wifi was free and fast. Just a perfect home away from home. read more

Loved staying at a residence inn - full fridge, microwave, some cutlery, and table for 4 with couch beds bathroom and separate vanity. It's super convenient compared to a hotel when traveling with a small family. Hot breakfast in the morning. Indoor heated pool. Located right near a major highway, wegmans, and within 5-10 minutes of great restaurants and downtown. Access to the parking lot from multiple areas around the building so we could easily take the stairs straight to the parking lot. The room itself wasn't entirely the cleanest - found leftover food crumbs, dust, and a cup in the dishwasher. Nonetheless I would absolutely stay again. read more

We only stayed here for one night. It is located on a hill next to Wegman's grocery store. It is quiet in the evening so no loud traffic can be heard so you can sleep soundly. Our room was large with high ceilings, featuring a kitchen, living room, and 2 queen size beds. The bathroom was modern and sleek when compared to other Residence Inns. The only setbacks were the following: 1) Kitchen ceiling light was dim; 2) Kitchen floor and room carpet were not vacuumed prior to our stay; and 3) Only 1 TV available (other Residence Inns have 2 TVs per room). Staff members at the desk and serving breakfast were friendly. We didn't get a chance to try the gym or swimming pool. Overall, a pleasant stay. read more

My husband and I were visiting family in Lancaster for a few days and chose to stay at the Residence Inn off Harrisburg Pike. What a great stay! Our suite was very spacious with a modern kitchen area (complete with full fridge, dishwasher, stovetop and oven, microwave, and ample cabinet space) and table for two; a large bathroom with step-in shower; a separate bedroom with full closet; and a sitting area with sectional, desk, and office chair. There was plenty of space for us (and our cat) as well as all our luggage for a 10-day road trip. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and it was quiet at night. Despite the proximity to Harrisburg Pike and Hwy 30, noise seldom intruded, and we never heard people in the hallways outside. The property does have an unusual entry/exit as it is part of a shopping/business area. If you access it via Harrisburg Pike, you must wind around other structures; however, there is a more direct way in via Farmingdale Road. If you follow Google Maps, you should be guided in that direction. The location of the hotel is quite convenient, as it's just across the street from a major shopping area and Wegman's grocery store. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Extra-special kudos and thanks to Vondol who checked us in; a large group of very boisterous high-school students had just arrived, and it was quite noisy and chaotic at the front desk. Vondol never lost her composure; she was very kind, calm and quiet, and despite some computer issues was able to check us in as quickly as possible (on the first floor, near a side door for convenient load-in and load-out; thank you so much!). Thanks also to Gamalier, who handled our reservation and manned the front desk when we checked out; he was very nice and efficient. In the mornings, he always had a smile for every guest passing by the desk. We appreciate that! The hotel offers a complimentary full breakfast with multiple hot and cold options and an ample seating area. The hotel offers recycling and other environmentally sustainable practices. We didn't use the fitness room but were glad to have it available. We had an extremely pleasant stay at the Residence Inn and will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Lancaster. Stayed in Lancaster for a weekend and this was more ideal as we wanted to be able to get in and out easily in the parking lot than staying at the Marriott in downtown Lancaster (which is nice when you will be in the downtown area) but we weren't so I chose here. I was able to get upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom suite which is always nice when you are a family. Check in was super easy, staff were so nice and kind. The facility is modern and clean. I know residence inn sometimes gets a bad rap as the lower brand on the Marriott end but this place does not represent that at all. The room itself was clean and modern. Only gripe is the pillows suck but I sometimes have that problem with most hotels. They do offer free breakfast but the breakfast area was crowded so we opted to go elsewhere. I don't come to Lancaster often and when I usually do it's the Marriott downtown and now I would include this one in my rotation. Location is ideal as it's next to a nice shopping center we went to wegmans on the late night to stock up on snacks which was nice. read more

Stayed here recently for the long weekend - the overall experience was excellent as described by other users here and elsewhere. The first thing to note is their COVID protocols. They do a good job of keeping this hotel very clean. Given that it is fairly new, the bed, carpeting and kitchen areas are all in good shape. The housekeeping staff only cleans the room every three days due to the pandemic protocols, though you can always request fresh towels etc as needed. The dining area where the complimentary breakfast is served is kept clean and the tables are separated to maintain distancing. There is an attendant who serves the hot food in styrofoam containers and other items in the kitchen like cereal, milk etc are all put in containers that you can grab and go. The room was spacious and comfortable. The 1BR suite had plenty of space and the bed was nice, albeit a little soft. For the most part people respected social distancing rules and masks throughout the property. The only iffy part was the pool area, where even though it is limited to 15 guests, it was frequently crowded when I stayed and of course no masks were worn there. The outside common area also often had a decent number of people with no masks as well. The hotel is conveniently located about 10-15 minutes away from the Dutch Wonderland and shopping/outlet area. It is about 7 minutes away from downtown Lancaster. It is a good option for families and those who are looking to stay in a comfortable environment in favor of the older hotels and motels in those areas. This Marriott Hotel is somewhat new. It's a great hotel to stay. Especially if you are planning to go to Dutch Wonderland, Tanger Outlets, or any of the shops in Lancaster. it's only about a 12-minute drive from hotel to all shops in Lancaster.. the whole inside setup is great. Gets free breakfast every morning. which is so good. You can grab coffee for free at anytime. The rooms are very beautiful with a full-size kitchen. Kitchen table a nice size fridgerator and freezer. And also a nice size bathroom and also in the living room as a good size couch with a nice size television. You will feel like you're right at home.. First time at this hotel, since I've been back to Pennsylvania. It's absolutely stunning hotel. We got the studio room. In the hotel room, it had a kitchen, pots, plates, and utensils. The room was clean, spacious, and cozy. It was modern, had everything I need to charge my phone via USB and outlets on the desk and end table which was very convenient. They had a pool and fitness center. The hotel was quiet and very family oriented. The manager was very accommodating with extra essentials of soap and towels. I would love to stay at this hotel again if I ever come back. read more

I stayed here while in town for work and loved it. The whole experience from the staff to the actual building was awesome. The hotel was clean and the location was awesome. Tons of food, entertainment or shopping options just a stones throw away. My room was huge and the AC would go down to as low as I wanted which is awesome for hot sleepers like myself. The gym they have is big and makes it easy to spread out if there are multiple people working out. Nice indoor pool that seemed to stay busy with beautiful families my whole stay. They also have a larger laundry room which is nice because a lot of hotels will have only 1 washer and 1 dryer but this place had 6 or so of both! The parking lot is big and easy to navigate. As stated above the staff was super personable and helpful from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. I can't speak to the breakfast because I was gone every morning before it opened but I heard nothing but wonderful things about it. I will be staying here every time I come back in the future. Very nice sized room, with a cool swivel TV. The TV had Netflix, Showtime, HBO and YouTube, so pretty much anything you would want to watch. Everything in the room looked brand new and clean, which was wonderful. Bathroom did not have a bathtub or a shower door that closed (it was walk in) so that was a little inconvenient with a toddler. I wish we had brought our swimsuits to use their beautiful pool. Their continental breakfast was what sold me on booking here and it did not disappoint. They offered two choices of eggs, sausage, and tasty Belgian waffles with an array of toppings. They also had bagels, a few pastries to choose from, yogurt and even mini smoothies! We have a 1 1/2 year old so being able to have a full breakfast from the convenience of our hotel was a massive plus. read more

Instead of more cleaning, this place has a policy of doing less. Housekeeping will not clean your room unless you have been there for 7 days (not even when requested)! Getting towels is a pain, and they did not even bring enough for all registered guests. Both elevators reeked of bad B.O., all 3 days we were there. The pool, so tiny it is full with 4 people in it, and it is so over-chlorinated you feel you might pass out when you walk into the room; and, you must walk back to the front desk to get towels for the pool. Picked this place because I thought my kid would enjoy the pool (did not). Would have been better off with the Marriott downtown. read more

I am a business traveler who has been traveling into the Lancaster Area for the last few months on a weekly basis. Knowing that I would be traveling to Lancaster Monday-Thursday for an extended period of time, I knew I wanted to stay in a hotel that was comfortable, convenient, and homie. In general when I travel for work, I prefer to stay at 4 star hotels in the Marriott brand (Autograph Collection, Marriott, JW etc.) but I find the Residence Inn Lancaster to be the most superior option in the Lancaster area for business travelers. My stay(and my team's stay) at the Residence Inn Lancaster has been nothing short of fantastic. We are able to do grocery shopping in the Wegmans that is a convenient 3 minute walk away from the hotel(and cook the food we buy in the kitchens in our rooms, which is super helpful when on the road so frequently.) The residence inn staff-- is so friendly and helpful; they have been AMAZING at storing packages and other items for our group which is great. A special shoutout to Mary Ellen for being so especially wonderful. Overall, I would recommend staying at the residence inn to anyone traveling into the Lancaster area and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. read more

I often made trips to Laancaster and I recently stayed here. The rooms are very clean, I always check the beds up, down and inside out completely to make sure. The staff was very friendly. I had forgotten my cellphone in the room and they had called my house before I even got home to let me know. Since I live six hours away they sent it back to me in the mail. The location is fantastic. You have Mike's Ale House and Wegman's right there as well as Park City Mall right down the street. It's set back and pretty private and very safe. Having a stocked kitchen in the rooms is absolutely fantastic! I'll be staying here again. read more

Be aware this hotel requests a hold of funds from your bank when you check in and also when you check out. Their system creates two transactions and authorization requests from your bank. The GM of this location will blame the situation on your bank. I tried yo explain that I was able to verify with my bank they had two different authorization requests from their hotel, one on the day I check in and one on the day I checked out. He didn't want to hear it and had no interest in researching it. The corporate office was just as helpful. They leave it up to the individual hotels to resolve the issues , they don't have any interest in anything that happens with the individual hotels. In the end it works out because they use the authorization request when you check out to process the charges and the initial hold for funds doesn't get processed. I recommend using a credit card snd not a Visa Debit Card so you don't loose access to funds while on vacation. read more
