This hotel is good. The location is convenient if somewhat odd. It's on a hill behind a pediatric center that used to be Toys R Us. The staff is nice and the housekeeping was good. The only thing was that the AC didn't cool the room well and the refrigerator made noise all night.

Residence Inn might be the benefactor of extremely lowered expectations, but I have to say that I was blown away by my stay here; for multiple reasons. First, I must admit that I knew nothing of Lancaster PA, other than that I was told it was basically ground zero for Amish/Mennonite people. I was expecting to be in the absolute boonies, with horse drawn buggies and wooden butter churns, but the area around Residence Inn was a SPRAWLING civilization. You literally don't need to travel more than a quarter of a mile to do anything. I'm talking, Wegmans supermarket, Reel movie theatre, Millers Sports Bar, Menchies fro-yo, Shake Shake, additional shopping, etc, within WALKING DISTANCE. And not like, GOOD walking distance; I'm talking a 3 minute walk, most of which is a paved path down a hill. There is a phenomenal, huge park ACROSS THE STREET. The location of RI couldn't have been better. Also, again, thinking that I was going to be in 1800's America, Lancaster was SHOCKINGLY progressive! Everyone, of every flavor was getting along splendidly. The hotel itself was quite impressive. I believe RI is classified as an "extended stay" hotel, and I am, unfortunately well versed in extended stays. I have put in a long bid at Extended Stay America, and RI has that place beat to death, in every way. The rooms and grounds were immaculate. The amenities modern. There was a pool, a gym, business center, sitting area with roaring firepit, etc. It was just such a nice stay. There was a breakfast buffet every morning that is loaded, that they even keep it open 10 minutes past the cut off time, to allow you late risers an opportunity to grub. RI is the absolute Galant to Extended Stay Americas Goofus. There were no fights, no cops, no trash, no broken amenities, etc, etc. I didn't hear a single damn person during quiet times, even though the hotel was PACKED, judging by the parking lot. I barely heard people AT ALL, and even then, only in common areas. Not a PEEP was heard room to room. I would stay in this hotel every single time I came to this area, if I were ever going to be in the area again. The front desk people were pleasant, the custodial staff were nice, the wifi was free and fast. Just a perfect home away from home.

Loved staying at a residence inn - full fridge, microwave, some cutlery, and table for 4 with couch beds bathroom and separate vanity. It's super convenient compared to a hotel when traveling with a small family. Hot breakfast in the morning. Indoor heated pool. Located right near a major highway, wegmans, and within 5-10 minutes of great restaurants and downtown. Access to the parking lot from multiple areas around the building so we could easily take the stairs straight to the parking lot. The room itself wasn't entirely the cleanest - found leftover food crumbs, dust, and a cup in the dishwasher. Nonetheless I would absolutely stay again.

We only stayed here for one night. It is located on a hill next to Wegman's grocery store. It is quiet in the evening so no loud traffic can be heard so you can sleep soundly. Our room was large with high ceilings, featuring a kitchen, living room, and 2 queen size beds. The bathroom was modern and sleek when compared to other Residence Inns. The only setbacks were the following: 1) Kitchen ceiling light was dim; 2) Kitchen floor and room carpet were not vacuumed prior to our stay; and 3) Only 1 TV available (other Residence Inns have 2 TVs per room). Staff members at the desk and serving breakfast were friendly. We didn't get a chance to try the gym or swimming pool. Overall, a pleasant stay.

My husband and I were visiting family in Lancaster for a few days and chose to stay at the Residence Inn off Harrisburg Pike. What a great stay! Our suite was very spacious with a modern kitchen area (complete with full fridge, dishwasher, stovetop and oven, microwave, and ample cabinet space) and table for two; a large bathroom with step-in shower; a separate bedroom with full closet; and a sitting area with sectional, desk, and office chair. There was plenty of space for us (and our cat) as well as all our luggage for a 10-day road trip. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and it was quiet at night. Despite the proximity to Harrisburg Pike and Hwy 30, noise seldom intruded, and we never heard people in the hallways outside. The property does have an unusual entry/exit as it is part of a shopping/business area. If you access it via Harrisburg Pike, you must wind around other structures; however, there is a more direct way in via Farmingdale Road. If you follow Google Maps, you should be guided in that direction. The location of the hotel is quite convenient, as it's just across the street from a major shopping area and Wegman's grocery store. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Extra-special kudos and thanks to Vondol who checked us in; a large group of very boisterous high-school students had just arrived, and it was quite noisy and chaotic at the front desk. Vondol never lost her composure; she was very kind, calm and quiet, and despite some computer issues was able to check us in as quickly as possible (on the first floor, near a side door for convenient load-in and load-out; thank you so much!). Thanks also to Gamalier, who handled our reservation and manned the front desk when we checked out; he was very nice and efficient. In the mornings, he always had a smile for every guest passing by the desk. We appreciate that! The hotel offers a complimentary full breakfast with multiple hot and cold options and an ample seating area. The hotel offers recycling and other environmentally sustainable practices. We didn't use the fitness room but were glad to have it available. We had an extremely pleasant stay at the Residence Inn and will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Lancaster. Thanks for a marvelous time!

This Marriott Hotel is somewhat new. It's a great hotel to stay. Especially if you are planning to go to Dutch Wonderland, Tanger Outlets, or any of the shops in Lancaster. it's only about a 12-minute drive from hotel to all shops in Lancaster.. the whole inside setup is great. Gets free breakfast every morning. which is so good. You can grab coffee for free at anytime. The rooms are very beautiful with a full-size kitchen. Kitchen table a nice size fridgerator and freezer. And also a nice size bathroom and also in the living room as a good size couch with a nice size television. You will feel like you're right at home.. Looking forward to coming back hear in near future.

One of my favorite touches was the enclosed walkway between the parking garage and the hotel, where historic photographs line the walls, telling the story of the grand department store that once occupied the building before it was transformed into the Marriott you see today. It's a neat little glimpse into Lancaster's past. The parking garage is just around the corner and connects directly to the hotel via the skywalk. That said, I'd recommend pulling into the front entrance first to check in and unload your luggage before parking--it'll save you from hauling bags through the garage. We booked a corner room, and I think it's easily the best value in the hotel. The extra windows offer great views of downtown from two sides, making the room feel much more open and bright. The indoor pool is modest but perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. There's also a well-equipped fitness center and spa for anyone looking to unwind or keep up with their workout routine. Don't miss the rooftop restaurant and bar. It's well worth stopping in for the views alone, whether you're grabbing dinner or just enjoying a drink. One thing to know, though: at the time of writing, access is from the exterior entrance rather than directly through the hotel. Overall, if you're planning a visit to Lancaster or exploring Amish Country, this is an excellent place to stay. Comfortable, convenient, reasonably priced, and full of character, it's hard to beat as a home base for your trip.

Our two-bed room was spacious and comfortable, and I was ecstatic to find a microwave in the room! That little convenience made a big difference, especially while traveling with our babygirl. We were on the first floor, and our room overlooked the formal ballroom. The resort itself is HUGE and, honestly, felt a little like a maze at first. But once we figured things out, we loved exploring everything it had to offer. One of our favorite features was the three pools--one indoor and two outdoor. The indoor pool also has a sauna, which was a nice bonus. We went to the indoor pool our first night, but it was overly crowded, so for the rest of our stay, we gravitated toward the outdoor pools. We especially enjoyed the outdoor heated pool because it was much more spacious and gave our babygirl plenty of room to practice her swimming. There's also a splash zone for the kiddos, although our little one wasn't interested in that at all. She wanted to do what the big kids were doing, the pool. Another nice touch was the outdoor food truck, which offered quick handheld bites along with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. It was convenient when we wanted something to eat or drink without having to leave the pool area. Our room was cleaned daily and fully restocked, which we really appreciated. Eden Resort and Suites was the perfect place for our family getaway. We felt comfortable, had plenty to do, and made some great memories together. Hubby asked me if I would return... My answer? ABSOLUTELY! We would definitely stay here again!

A Celebration Ruined by Unprofessionalism, Neglect, and Severe Safety Hazards…read more We chose this resort for a landmark birthday celebration, expecting a high-end, relaxing experience for the two of us. Instead, we encountered a severe lack of management oversight, nonexistent customer service, and shocking safety violations. The red flags began before we even arrived: I called ahead of check-in and left a voicemail to coordinate details, but no one ever called back. From there, the property and its operations completely missed the mark. It genuinely disheartens us to write this because we met a few wonderful individual staff members, but the overall management is deeply broken. Severe Safety and Life Egress Code Violations The most alarming event occurred when we were physically locked inside the gated pool enclosure for the evening. After being turned away from the bar, we sat on the lounge chairs, only to discover that staff had wrapped heavy cable/bicycle locks around ALL the exit gates-directly through the panic bars (crash hardware)-without conducting an area sweep to verify if anyone was still inside. We were entirely trapped in an environment with two pools, nearby chemical storage facilities, and potential drowning or medical risks. Under Section 1010/R310 of the adopted Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and International Building Code (IBC) egress standards, required egress doors and gates serving assembly areas must remain operational from the inside without keys, tools, special knowledge, or effort. Wrapping physical cable locks over panic hardware explicitly violates state building codes by disabling the continuous path of emergency egress. Furthermore, while the PA Public Bathing Law (28 Pa. Code Chapter 18) mandates surrounding barriers and self-latching gates to restrict unauthorized entry, it strictly prohibits trapping patrons inside. To make matters worse, we immediately called and texted the front desk while trapped, but no one answered our emergency outreach - leaving us with zero means of emergency escape or communication, not even the following day. Beyond being locked in, the pool deck was entirely unmonitored. Guests were actively jumping into the water from elevated, wet landscaping rocks-a massive slip, fall, and drowning hazard that staff completely ignored. People were also permitted to use heavy machinery barefoot in the fitness center, creating another severe liability and physical injury risk. Sanitation and Maintenance Failures Upon check-in, our room was heavily covered in dust and poorly maintained. Front desk personnel apologized and promised housekeeping management would perform a deep cleaning. This never happened, and no one ever followed up; in fact, as I was checking out two days later, someone in the hallway casually asked if they could clean my room. Additionally, the resort fails to enforce basic public health hygiene-guests are not prompted to rinse off before entering the water-and the pool temperature fluctuated wildly, dropping to an uncomfortably cold level that suggested mechanical neglect. Unprofessional Service and False Amenities Front desk communication is nearly impossible, as the phones consistently ring indefinitely-a problem we experienced from our pre-arrival voicemail onward. When we attempted to dine at the bistro at 9:15 PM over the weekend (well before the advertised 10:00 PM closing time), the brick oven was already shut down. The bartender at the other bar on property ignored us, and at 9:18 PM, abruptly announced last call, offering us beers in takeout cups while two other guests sat at the bar enjoying their drinks. When we brought this to the front desk, the male supervisor was entirely unresponsive, dismissive, and unhelpful-a toxic, unprofessional attitude we encountered from him multiple times. We were also unable to order the special birthday desserts advertised online, and amenities like the fire pit were left non-functional even after the weather cleared up. Final Verdict: Do not risk your money, your vacation, or your physical safety at this property. Management has completely ignored our post-stay outreach, proving that guest safety and satisfaction are not their priorities. Avoid this resort at all costs.
