I tired their new automated bar feature but the dispensers serve mostly foam. The room was the most disappointing experience. Stained carpet, dirty room, filthy shower, a cracker-jack repair jobs. The pool water was gray and cloudy, and the patio area just not tended to. The follow up email from management was just a cookie cutter standard template. Probably not their fault, a lot of these properties are not owned by Hilton but by cheap foreign companies with low budgets and high expectations. Stay away from this location.

At the front desk they were apologetic and offered to switch my room in the morning, as it was close to midnight. I was advised to send my photos and videos to the front desk email, which I did. Inside looks new and clean. Lobby is spacious and has plenty of places to sit and relax. The patio is nice and has a grill, the pool looked clean. We did not go in, too windy. Elevators ran a little slow. Breakfast was buffet style eggs (various ways) meat and potatoes. There was also a waffle station, oatmeal station and toast. Fresh fruits and yogurts available. There was coffee and hot water available. This hotel shares a small parking garage with the neighboring hotel home2suites. Short walking distance to Fox Performing Arts Center.

But it's probably good that they did that because other locations of America's Best were pretty icky the last I noticed. THIS LOCATION was ALWAYS by far the BEST in their lineup. And it's still GREAT. It's different. The rooms are smaller but it's still always been one of my favorite hotels. The BEDS ARE AWESOME and the BEDDING is AWESOME. They double sheet with a comforter in the middle. These beds are simple luxury and the pillows are great & the towels are soft. The only downside is none of the rooms have bathtubs if that's important. Yup they have waffles and a little more for breakfast but don't come for the breakfast, come for the BEDS! Location wise it's an easy walk to the Mission Inn so you can stay here and enjoy all the fun at the Mission Inn. Take the TOURS there. The whole downtown area has really improved over the years. I worked in hotels for 12 years and while this hotel isn't a 5 star resort, they sure do make you feel like it is. They will do whatever it takes to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Also the bistro has amazing food. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and well kept up. Engineering team takes care of their property. Also, the pool space is very relaxing, clean, and the pool is heated too. 10/10 recommendation. Only downfall: Sunday-Tuesday, the lady who works overnights is difficult to find and if you do find her, she has a terrible attitude. (Literally the only one at the hotel) Many of times our guests with our group would be waiting and waiting for her to come out of the back office and assist them. For a hotel that caters to travelers who often rely on laundry during longer stays, this is a pretty basic amenity to neglect. Not to mention it's COIN OPERATED. Marriott has gone WAY down hill. Hilton would NEVER LOL. If you're planning to stay here for more than a night or two, don't count on being able to do laundry. Between the lack of functional equipment and the indifferent staff response, it's just not reliable.

This has been the best Quality Inn out of all of them, usually service is pretty sad and unwelcoming with dingy, dirty, or broken rooms. However this Quality Inn had very friendly staff, rooms were sparkling clean (even smelled floral), and had a good breakfast for the price point that was constantly being stocked. And as a bonus you are walking distance from some nice places to explore.
