I stopped by this Home Goods in search of a planter, but much like other Home Goods stores I've been to, they didn't have much in the way of functional indoor planters. Most of what I saw would be suitable for decoration or outside. Then I thought outside the box and decided to look at woven baskets to put around boring, plastic planters. This Home Goods' selection of baskets was great! I debated over a couple before purchasing one. Unfortunately when I got to my car, I immediately realized the basket was not a good size for the plant I had and I returned the basket right away. Had it fit the plant though, it would have been golden! read more

Going to HomeGoods is always an adventure. They have so much stuff there (a lot of it is junk but also a lot of awesome stuff) that you'll be easily overwhelmed. They have so many discounted designer things that you're bound to find something fantastic to fit your tastes and that one spot in your home that nothing else seems to fit in. We came here on a Sunday looking for lamps and then we came out with 2 pieces of art 3 lamps, a small storage unit and an end table. C'est la vie, right? They are gearing up for the fall season here in Atlanta so half the store is fall decorations. A lot of stuff on discount but also a lot of things that if you decorate for the season I'm sure you'll find something pretty awesome. I'm thinking about going back to find a few more things around the house. They do accept returns and their items are pretty decent. Even though they seem expensive at times their furniture and home decorations are already discounted. You're not going to find anything at those prices, honestly. The flip side is that they usually only have 1-2 of anything. There's nothing in the "back room." The people here are extremely friendly and are working furiously to keep things in order as people pull things out and leave them in the aisle. Check out was quick. as much time as i spend cruising the aisles, and looking for gifts for other peoples homes, im surprised I havent YELPED this place. A great place to find any knick or knack you desire. I recently was looking for gifts for a breast cancer dinner party, and got here and found 3 different pink paper towel holders. Who knew that existed, let alone 3 different styles. They already have shelves and shelves of Christmas stuff, which really saddens me becuase Im more of a Thanksgiving person than I am Christmas, not for the MEANING of it, but for the HOLIDAY style of it. Chistmas is ......well...I'll digress, and not get into lectures about the reason for the seaons, but can we please not forget THANKSGIVING! Anyways...lots of housewares, foods, and furnishings. Buyer beware of their store policy - if they have two of the same product that was shipped at different times in the year to the store...any price differentials are not subject to change. I found two storage cases that were identical but marked for two different prices. No biggie, right? All you have to do is confirm the price in your database and sell it to me for that price. Wrong. The manager at the store confirmed to me that the only way she can sell these to me would be for the individual marked price of each. How does that make sense??? I'm buying two of the same product and because of the technicality that they were not shipped to the store at the same time the customer has to pay two different prices for the same exact product? That is NOT how business is done. read more

We're new to the city and we came to HomeGoods to look for some furniture for our new home. We walked into a total pigsty. NOTHING was organized here. There's literally product all over the floor blocking the isleways. Everything was way overpriced for what you got and no one was helpful or kind in answering any questions. Selina, the recently new store manager, has turned what used to be a chaotic mess offering an exhausting shopping experience into a well-organized and efficient store offering everything imaginable. My newest obsession. Oh man, this place is cheap. Decorative glass that was $50+ at West Elm is $9.99. Bedspreads for $30. Art for as low as $8. Yes, a lot of it is ugly. And yes, it is an evil chain store. But I can't help but love it. Whether you're looking to outfit your kitchen with Calphalon on the cheap or just want a couple knick knacks to update your space, this place is most definitely worth a look. And it's usually pretty clean and well organized: more than can be said for most of the "charming" antique stores around town. read more

Do you like to decorate as much as I do? Well, probably not, but regardless of that fact, if you do need to decorate, and do want to decorate, then go here and buy some shit! Basically, this is like the "home furnishings" section of Marshals or TJ Maxx, only MUCH nicer, and way more expanded. If you need something cute, nice, pretty, funny, iconic, or anything having to do with cooking or kitchen, then this is your place. See, the best part, is that it is all discounted by a lot; hence the Marshals/TJ Maxx talk from before. Whenever I need a great picture, or a decorative box to put stuff in, or a set of nice sheets, or that ever necessary statue of Buddha, I head out to Home Goods, because I know that this is where I can find it, and find it cheap. I love bargain shopping, and for someone who is a self-professed decorate-a-holic, this place is a necessity, in order to save my wallet from drying out completely. My only complaint about this place, is that often times, I will spot that must have item (you know, the one that you feel as if you will perish if it doesn't go home with you), only to find it has been damaged in some way. I know that is part and parcel for the whole discount shopping thing, but it is still annoying; because like I said, I NEEDED that item, and now I have to just sulk for a few hours, dreaming about what could have been, if it wouldn't have been damaged, and that item could have come home with me, and made me ever so happy. But alas, all is not lost... what's that over there!?! Something else I need! HA! Happiness is back! Seriously, do yourself a favor and check this place out. If you need it, they probably have it. HomeGoods makes me want to ditch my tiny studio for a big ol' house just so I can decorate and accessorize it floor to ceiling with stuff from this store. HomeGoods is basically like going down the miscellaneous non-clothing aisles at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, or Ross, but 84756283 times the size and selection. The prices and quality of the items are great. They have kitchenware, glassware, gourmet packaged foods/mixes, bedding, furniture, rugs, lamps, stationery, picture frames, books, baby/kid stuff, pet accessories and beds, seasonal items... you name it! Many of the items are creative and personal (and SO affordable!), and I made a big dent in my Chrismukkah shopping here. The one or two open registers move pretty slow, but who cares? I dig Homegoods. I have zoomed through this store like a tornado on several occasions in search of budget-friendly apartment wares. Some of my favorite purchases include a mod clothes hamper (cost me $35, while others go for, like, 100...); a timeless, neutral set of feeding bowls on a stand for my kitty; and an assortment of seasonal decorations, the most recent being a duo of January-inspired berry garlands that were on clearance at only $3 apiece. The store is organized well, too, with sections for the kitchen, bathroom and living room, plus the always-necessary decorative aisles. Homegoods will help you save many a penny. I love all the colors, the Racheal Ray cookware (OMFGWANT), the candles with the wooden wicks that crackle when they are lit... I used to get all my goodwares at Ross, but that's when I lived in Key West and they were the only name in town for buying that stuff on the cheap... Ross pales in comparison here, folks! It's cramped, but they have EVERYTHING you could possibly ever not know you needed until just now, and then some. Oh HomeGoods... you are so good to me. I have been shopping here since the first week I moved to Atlanta over two years ago. From classy stemware to plush bedding, they've got it all. And the prices are so cheap! HomeGoods is my go-to when I need a quick gift for a shower or birthday...and I usually end up walking out with at least one or two items for myself. Whoops! I appreciate how they keep the store so organized. There are designated areas for kitchen, pets, kids, candles, frames, home furnishings, bedding...and it is all very clear and easy to navigate. The staff does a remarkable job of maintaining this structure and keeping the store clean and tidy. It's so nice to walk in and know that my HomeGoods is arranged just the way I left it with new goodies and gadgets sprinkled in. The checkout line - or "temptation station" as I like to call it - is my true weakness. The candles, the iPhone covers, the gourmet snacks... it's too much. Willpower usually loses. Since I adopted my dog a few months ago, I have found that HomeGoods is a great place to purchase pet accessories. They have treats, toys, beds, food containers, shampoos, and snazzy retractable leashes in fun patterns. I purchased a bag of organic peanut butter treats for less than $5, and an adorable little set of food and water bowls for about $6. But the offerings definitely vary - I came in about a month ago and they had lots of dog food containers (when I wasn't looking for them). When I went in the other day, they only had about one or two out on the floor. The main rule for shopping at HomeGoods: you can't walk in with a specific request. For instance, if you go there thinking, "I need to pick up a red casserole dish" you may be disappointed. But if you go in thinking, "I need a cute kitchen accessory for my mom," you will be delighted. And then you'll walk out with an adorable mason jar tumbler for yourself because I mean c'mon, it was only $4! read more

There are plates, baking pans, bathroom towels, bedding, home decorations, pet goods, furniture, stationary (like notebooks, cards, etc.) and more! Although I did have some difficulty finding prices on some of the goods here (especially since they usually have only one or two of the same items), everything was very reasonably priced. Everything from rugs to plates and tables and chairs. The pricing here is excellent. You're not as cheap as Ross, but the selection and quality is waaaaaay better. This is a nice store that is jam-packed with kind of pretty crap that I hate to have around my house. With that said, lots of other people have different tastes than I do so it's a very lovely store. I did focus on the kitchen stuff. I'm all about kitchen storage containers these days and I hit the jackpot on OXO containers here. I also bought some Christmas cookie decorations, which were very cute, a birthday gift and some pretty-smelling hand soap. So, it was a successful visit. If I ever was in need of a specific kitchen piece or a piece of home decor, I would probably check here as one of my first stops since the prices are good and they do have a lot of variety. I love homegoods and love going to multiple locations. This store is the closest to my house but also the most unorganized store. It is so frustrating trying to navigate a cart through the store. I have loved shopping here, but one incident has changed this. I purchased several items and got a call from my niece while cashing out. My niece is recovering from stage five cancer and had a limited time to talk so I took the call while cashing out. During the call, the coordinator, who was serving as my cashier shouted over me to someone in another area the store the whole time I was in front of him. I did not understand this behavior, but was centered on this time with my niece. I even apologized to the coordinator/cashier because this was not my norm. Secondly and most importantly, two of the items purchased were stolen by the coordinator/clerk. While he may have bagged them, the items never made it in the bags that I exited the store with. I am a loyal customer to this brand no more, because my items were stolen by the clerk and the store has done nothing further to deal with my stolen items. Some people are crafty in their gift of theft. This one hit me hard and so I write so that others might be careful to check your bags before leaving the store. I usually am more alert, but he got me this time. I will not shop this store! I splurged on the items, so it was a significant loss for me. So disappointed. I am also contacting corporate. read more

I just love this place! I find so many cool, eclectic knick knacks in here. This time I came with a purpose. It was my cousin's housewarming and I planned on giving her a basket filled with housewarming goodies. I had no list, I just knew the basket had to be so good that it overshadowed the fact that I didn't get anything off her target registry. So I got her this awesome smelling olive oil hand soap, a grater, some cosmo mix for her bar, a purex measuring cup, some spices and sauces, and some other items which escape my mind at this time and then I stopped by trader joes for some 2 buck chuck. The sales associate that i spoke with stated they had various sizes which i was happy about. However it was a wasted trip. It took me over a hour to get to the store due to the 85 traffic closure. Don't buy their sheets. They suck!!! Bought a Tommy Hilfiger and the sheets are stiff even after washing with extra fabric softener. Bought another set that said it was an 800 count. Washed them first following directions and they barely fit on the bed. The top sheet is short. The bottom sheet is so snug I don't know if I'll be able to get it on the bed after the 2nd washing. I just moved to the area and needed some things for my place. When I came in I was not greeted and was not asked if I needed any help. It's was too unorganized and not clean for such a small space. It felt like everything was just thrown everywhere and anywhere. I felt like I was at a FOREVER21 but for furniture. So untidy. I was truly disappointed in this location.
