Mac Make-up artists are liars. An appointment was scheduled 6-days in advance and an email confirmation was received. A make up artist called 3 days away and stated that although they confirmed my appointment, they are booked needed to do make up for prom girls! I will be filing a complaint with Dillards and Mac Corporation because an appointment with confirmation should be honored, I spend hundreds of dollars at Dillards every month and to disregard my appointment is beyond unprofessional, unacceptable, and disrespectful! read more

I think this Dillard's in Atlantic Station and all Dillard's stores, in general, are OK. I'm kind of surprised I hadn't left a review for this Dillard's until now considering I bought my home in Atlantic Station in 2005 and I've made several trips to this Dillard's, "my" Dillard's, since then. Admittedly, my trips here have been more for others (e.g., wife, mom, previous SOs) than for myself. My last visit to this Dillard's was to get sized for my wedding ring. My wife came here to get her ring size too, for her engagement ring. She got me some fun golf socks and sushi socks from this store (HOTSOX brand). My wife occasionally shops for cosmetics here, but this store is often out of stock of what she wants, so she orders online instead (usually from Sephora). She got some new nude sandals from this Dillard's for a gala we went to. I remember accompanying one of my exes to this store when she bought a new dress to wear to a black-tie event that my company threw. All staff that I can remember interacting with here have been nice and polite. Good customer service. Also, the store has always been clean including the restrooms. There are three levels here: * 1st Level - cosmetics, fashion jewelry, women's handbags and accessories, women's shoes, men's shoes, and menswear * 2nd Level - women's ready-to-wear clothing, junior apparel * 3rd Level - more women's ready-to-wear clothing, children's clothing and shoes, lingerie; and bedroom, dining, kitchen, bath, and luggage If driving to this Dillard's, park in the Atlantic Station parking deck where the first two hours are free. I recommend parking on level P2 because it's less congested. You can enter Dillard's directly from the garage. You can also take stairwell #9 (peach color). The peach-colored section of the deck is where you want to park for Dillard's. At the time of writing this review, there are 12 Dillard's stores in Georgia. There are several others in metro Atlanta. The Dillard's at Perimeter Mall is the closest Dillard's to this location. The Dillard's store in my hometown of High Point, North Carolina is still open at Oak Hollow Mall (Dillard's Clearance Center). There are 13 Dillard's stores in North Carolina, but I digress. Had the worst experience at this location. I called a Dillard's at another location to see if they had a boot in stock and if not can they tell me what location did. The helpful representative stated, " there was only 1 size 9 available at the Atlantic Station location". I drove to the Atlantic station location and asked the representative Tony did that have an, " Azela Wang faux fur boot in stock" he immediately stated, "no we do not have those boots" I did not show him a picture nor had I given him the item number. I show him a picture of the boot he again states, "no we do not have those, I've never seen them before". I said well I called and they stated you have 1 in stock. He then proceeds to grab me the shoe. He comes back hands me the shoe, I try them on, and decided im going to continue with the purchase. As Im putting the shoe in the box, I notice that the inner side of the boot fur looks defective. I show my mom on ft just to make sure I was clear on what on I was seeing. I asked Tony could he double check and make sure no other location has that boot, it doesn't matter the state, I can have my assist get them. He goes to the computer and shoes me that no location has the boot at all ( there was a red indicator on the screen showing sold out to each location). I said well are you all going to discount these because as you can see they are defective he said, " no because if you stand the boot up no one can see it" I told him that's besides the point. I asked for a manager and a Caucasian lady by the name of Troy comes out, she immediately sees the defect and say, " No we are not going to discount these, you don't have to buy them". I said well can you at least see if the other color is available. She just stares at me and says, " you don't have to buy them". At thi moment my mom can here the conversation and she states," that's the manager talking to you like that?" I told her yes. I informed Troy that I was going to purchase the shoes and call corporate. She walks off. Tony reappears and I ask him where is the manager after she is gone for a few minutes. He says to me,"Well what do you want she said no". I informed him that is not why her presence was needed and that, I requested corporates number and to see if they have the boots in the other color. He says, we do not have the other color. I challenge him and say how do you know what the color is because when I first got here you said you didn't have the shoe at all. He says the other color is brown. I inform him that the other color is not brown it is pink and orange. He says, " I've been here a long time you can't tell me". I say okay then were is your manager. The manager Troy reappears and she says," No ma'am we are not discount the boot". I said that's not what I asked you. I asked you to look and see if you have the other color and to provide me with corporates number. She writes down the number slides it over and proceed to look up the other color. She then replies, " no we do not have it and I can not see if any other store has it". (Remind you Tony had showed me the screen that shoes other stores stock). I ask can I order the other color here because its online she states no they do not do that. I have never in my life received such terrible customer service and that was my first time ever shopping at Dillards. read more

As a shopper, I pay attention to how staff engage with customers. During my visit, I noticed that Michael (African American) continuously asked and checked in on white women who previously arrived and arrived while I was shopping. After my 3rd time around the shoe section. He asked if I needed help. Asked for manager to provide feedback and Taylor didn't acknowledge being ignored either. Michael came back with shoes stating "I couldn't carry any more boxes but if you want to try the 9 let me know" . (I asked for size 8.5 and 9 before he delivered the shoes). I said yes I would still like to try the 9 I asked for. If you are African American just know the same black man who experices discrimination will project unto black clients. Beautiful department store in the heart of the Atlantic Station shopping and entertainment district. Thanks to the ongoing pandemic, you'll feel like you've got the entire store to yourself. Spotlessly clean. The service was very good, which makes sense because they've probably brought back only the tenured top producers. Decent inventory level, although still quite a few summer offerings in some departments where you'd expect to see fall merchandise this time of year. In the past I've had a fairly good experience with Dillard's until recent. So I found a sweater I liked and decided to buy. I wanted to buy two but one color was only available online so I bought one and went home and ordered the other. I received the other and two days later it dropped in price From $69 to $41 so I called to find out about a price adjustment and c/s said they don't give them and that I would have to come into the store return it and repurchase the shirt again. Is that the dumbest thing you ever heard? So I went in returned it. The first shirt I bought I was able to repurchase, the one bought on line I was told I could not repurchase it, I had to reorder it online again to get the lowest price, is that insane or what? My 21 daughter has a new professional job and needed business attire. Blazer, pant, etc. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but needed the staples and good quality. I highly recommend Helen Davis at Atlantic Station. She's a Calvin Klein Specialist. She helps with other brands too not just CK just go there to find her! She gathered the must haves for a young professional. I was lost when I entered the store and wanted to leave I was so overwhelmed and sticker shocked. Everything she brought to us we literally bought! Right size/fit, the must have staples and the suits all could be worn interchangeable. 3 suits can be worn as 6 or more! I can't thank her enough to make this stressful experience a easy one. My 18 year old plans on seeing her in the future too!!! Her business card will be one worth saving. I was highly disappointed on the subliminal approach while shopping in Dillard's. Sadly, I shop frequently. Most recently made a purchase November 6, 2021, however, in the Women shoe department. Kaven was a great Sales Associate during that visit, in which I had to order Uggs that were not in stock. On November 16, 2021, I had to wait until someone came to the department, which was completely fine. I did not understand why another Sales Associate saw me in the Children's Department waiting, however, sent someone else to assist me. Once Charity Brown (Sales Associate) came to assist, I showed her the shoe that I wanted to purchase. The shoe given was an infants 3M, however, it was obvious that I needed another size after trying it on my child. I asked to try a similar shoe in Wide, since the shoe I wanted was not in stock. There's a possibility for slight confusion, however, it seemed as if the Sales Associate wanted me to expedite my time and "Just purchase" something. I was very observant the entire time, then the Associate (no badge) that sent Charity to assist me came over and was talking to my child. I felt as it was a ploy to see what was going on. I had other purchases to make in the Jewelry department, since I had socks to purchase, I made CLEAR to inquire if I needed to purchase them in the Children's department or in the Jewelry department, since I was not done shopping. I could have bought another pair or more shoes, but I decided not to. When I spend my money, I do not want to feel as if I'm being shadowed. This is my first experience at Dillard's that I have encountered an uncomfortable approach. Everyone does not steal. A suggestion going forward would be to have a training for Sales Associates on how to approach customers. If somebody feels the need to shadow me in a store, I feel the need to take my business elsewhere immediately. read more

Stopped by MAC to see if they had any openings for my makeup to get done. They had only one which was several hours out. So, called on a friend and he send me to the right person. Ismael however had someone in his chair. So, Dominique Black step right up and said. I can help you. She asked me what colors I liked and all the things to get a feel for what I liked. She took the time to find out if I was allergic to anything. Once she found out she when to work. She matched my foundation and came up with this eye color out of this world. First time visiting a Dillard store. It was very clean and neat. Would visit again next time in Atlanta.

3 of us came to find dresses for my niece 50th birthday as it is a black tie affair. We were in there for 3 hours (what do you expect with 3 women lol!!! ) Well I have never been treated so suspect I couldn't say they were racist because it was all black people that were doing it. However we did wind up buying 3 outfits and was going downstairs to find shoes and they were just as rude downstairs in the shoe dept. So we just left and chose to go somewhere else. read more

Service in the shoe department was just ok- I was acknowledged but not greeted. Basically I grabbed the sample shoe and went looking for a sales associate. When I found one, they just asked "what size do you need" but no greeting or anything. Personalized service? Not really. The shoe I wanted was not in stock. And I had to ask whether they could look to see if it was at another store. I also had to ask if they could recommend a comparable shoe, in a different brand, that may be available in store. They said could not recommend a comparable- I was looking for a black pump so I didn't know this could be that challenging. Will I shop at Dillards again? Yes. I like the brands they carry. Some associates here are more friendly than others (jewelry & handbags). Could it be that I was dressed super business-sy Tuesday? Lol. The store was fairly large with its 3 levels. The merchandise was clean and well organized. Associates and store managers were walking all around the store putting merchandise up or keeping the store maintained. There is street parking that's right outside of the store, but pay the meter! :) And as I was informed, Dillard's is one of the few locations that has a bathroom. Just a random tid bit. I have gone to Dillard's more times than I would like to remember. The selection of cloth, kitchenware and glass decoration is excellent. The variation is excellent and I really like the store. The employees are not really as active as you would like. You have to hunt down a person to get assistance whereas you would expect it to be the other way around. They must be on a fixed salary rather than getting a cut of the sales. Overall great store but the service is really not why you go! read more

I haven't been to Dillard's in a long time but I hope department stores like them stay around for a long time. I love the convenience of being able to hit a variety of different clothing needs for everyone in the family/friends as well as makeup, perfume/cologne, shoes, luggage, jewelry all in one big store. I recently came to Dillard's at Atlantic Station to buy a friend a birthday gift. Dillard's now has MAC and when I got there it was pretty packed; however, the staff did not skip a beat. Before I waited a little a MAC employee, Tiara, came over to greet me and assist while she was also with another Client. Love the multitasking. Tiara answered all of my questions and ended up making a larger purchase based on her great customer skills and recommendation. I also love that you don't have to keep your receipts for exchanges because they put that sticker on each item of your purchase. The only negative about Dillard's was that I had to go to the gift wrapping area on another floor to get a box and tissue paper. I went to another counter too to ask. I guess they don't have it in the pay stations throughout the department store anymore. I will definitely be back! read more

You ever go shopping and enter a store and think to yourself...I should have come here first? I found white easter shoes, with a white heel, and they didnt cost me a stack.....ebonics lesson for the day....stack = hundred...ie 5 stacks is $500. Get it? Maybe that isnt ebonics....maybe it should be called hip hop defination of the day. HAHA Anyways.....they had a whole round table of at least 9 styles of white shoes with a white heel. Of couse the had more styles of the white with wood heel and white with cork or white with twine wedgeies...but White on White Jessica Simpson shoes with a white heel...and they were on sale for $59. Thanks to the Atlantic Station Dillards for once again being on point with my fashion taste. Helpful shoe staff, and one guy even professionally stretched my right shoe for me, so it felt just as good as the left one did...and I didnt have to buy a larger size and stick tissue in the toe. I normally do my clothes shopping online but had to go here to return a blouse purchased one midnight of binge shopping. After parking in the underground deck, I went up two floors on the escalator and was automatically in the women's clothing section. The salesperson was so helpful and friendly. I ended staying for over an hour trying on clothes. I'm going to a black tie gala in a couple of weeks and the salesperson acted as a personal shopper. One dress that I would've never in a million years pick out was handed to me in the fitting room. I actually only tried it on to appease her. Man, that dress was banging on me! In the craziness of Atlantic Station, this Dillard's a welcome spot of respite. When you enter the AS parking deck, follow the signs to the Dillard's, and you can park right next to a special enclosed escalator/elevator that will bring you straight into the store. This Dillard's has some of the cleanest bathrooms in Atlantic Station, as well as plenty of "man couches" so it really is a great place to use as a home base for an Atlantic Station shopping excursion. In terms of selection, I'm pretty impressed by what they offer for women. I do 99.9% of all my shopping online, and so it takes a lot to get me into a brick and mortar store. Their shoe and dress selection is definitely the highlight. Whether you're looking for a wedding guest dress, a work dress, or a beachy weekend dress, they have something for you, and they usually have a sale going on too. Little known fact at Dillard's is they offer free basic tailoring on item you pay full price for. As a deal hound, this is enough to make me consider paying full price! read more

I used her for both my birthday party (see my profile pic) and another event this year and both times she was able to capture exactly what I wanted without looking all over the top, so-not a top model but wanna be that walks around Atlantic Station in 6in heels. If you plan to ever make a return , avoid this place. I remembered I brought a prom dress here years ago and wanted to do a cash return the next day for another dress. It took three ppl to do it. They didn't know how to do a cash return on a large amount. This time I went again to buy a suit. The guys there was quick to help you when you're buying. I come back to return it within 20 minutes because my son found a better suit. The lady at the men's section told me rudely to go somewhere else because she was helping another customer. But her "customer " was a guy who was walking off looking at socks. He wasn't even near her desk. So I go back to the guy that rung me up. He told me to go to the gift shop upstairs. I go upstairs going out it's the gift wrap section and he was supposed to processed my return before sending me upstairs. Well lesson learned. Don't bother here. I have been a fan of this Dillard's since the day they opened their doors. Not only is it HUGE...the staff is very friendly and the location (at Atlantic Station) is great. There's a good amount of street parking (they are metered...so don't forget your quarters at home) and there are stairs from the garage right across the street. Highlights... * Shoe section (first floor). Their sale selection is fantastic. * Men's suits (third floor). Great variety and the staff knows their suits. I went with my boyfriend to find a suit for a wedding he was in and we were very happy with what we found. Great service and price. * Formal dresses (second floor). I promise you'll find something you absolutely love in this department at the right price...I'll even bet you on it. Overall...probably my favorite department store in Atlanta, but without the department feel. read more

I went to return my christmas present that my mom purchased for me in late November for christmas and they wouldnt give me a refund. They told me the only option was to get a gift card...? What? Why? For $200 id like to get a refund please! I have the receipt and its only january 10th, surely they extend returns for Christmas purchases.??? Right? Not so. They said they could make an exception but i HAVE TO HAVE THE CREDIT CARD used to make the purchase originally. SERIOUSLY? What a hassle!! Its like they are so desperate to keep my gift money. Now if i dont want to have a $200 gift card to Dillards ( which is not convenient to me) i have to drag my 80 year old mother out so she can present the original credit card so she can then in turn give me the gift money not to mention a second trip now for me out of my way....what a pain in the butt !! Im extremely disappointed and im not recommending anyone buy a gift here unless you are SURE it will be exactly right. This has put a bad taste in my mouth now about shopping at Dillards. I met an absolute gem today at Dillard's, Steve at the men's fragrance counter is absolutely wonderful. He was able to answer any questions about any fragrance commercial or niche. This man knows his fragrances, I will definitely be back for further fragrance purchases in the future. My boyfriend is very picky and he loved this guy! I have to admit I never shopped at a Dillards until my best friend started working there, and I was pleasantly surprised at the great selection. Dillards is like an upscale Macy's in my opinion you will find great name brand apparel but the décor and atmosphere is much better at Dillards. Gone are the women with the coupons they received in the mail, or the teenagers junking up the jr. section. I found the most amazing Made of Honor dress for an amazing price at Dillards. Unfortunately I will never go here again. Two years ago I stopped to buy a dress shirt. The sales person said customers aren't allowed to open the packaged shirts to try on. I wrote a letter and received a note back apologized. Six months ago I stopped by to purchase another dress shirt but didn't have time to try it on. It was Ralph Lauren with an "Estate Collection" tag. I didn't have time to try it on so I asked the sales lady if that meant it was a normal cut. She ensured me it was...it wasn't. Tried to take it back but since it was on clearance it was fine sale. No other dept store of this size has this ridiculous return policy. I wrote a letter to corporate but heard nothing back.
