Tip: Ignore all the men sitting near the entrance/exit looking as if they were brought here against their will and wondering when their girlfriend or wife will be done already. This is my favorite HomeGoods store in Orange county. Its a hidden gem in Brea and only a few blocks away from the Brea mall and conveniently located next to Trader Joe's. They have a great selection of pillows, linens and rugs. They also have a great section of bath and body products like soaps, shower gels and guest items for your house. What I like most about this Homegoods is that its not really messy like the one in Tustin and its not overwhelming. I will agree with others that the Yorba Linda store is much bigger, but this store is more cozy and you can find everything you are looking for. Every time I have been here, the lines haven't been too crazy either. Plus, they have awesome sales racks. If you are near the Brea Mall, then its worth swinging by to get some great stuff for your home! read more

I am a fan of Homegoods, I've scored some great merchandise from HG in the past and continue to find unique items every year. I like their return policy and love how you can get store credit on the items you've lost the receipt on. This is the closest location to me so I come here often. I love stocking up on ($1.99 - $2.99 that look like $6.99) greeting cards here and perusing aisles for things I do not need, but buy on a whim! I love that it's close to my church so I drop by every Sunday. The employees here are all friendly and helpful and it's nice that it attracts a friendly crowd. read more

This is one of my favorite places to come for Christmas gifts. I'm not trying to be cheap, but I love that you can pick up some higher end kitchen and home stuff at a fraction of what you'd pay at Macy's or Nordstrom. Like any other bargain type store, you may have to search for what you're looking for and you may find a lot of other things you want to buy without ever realizing that you needed/wanted them. Cocktail and wine glasses are a great find here, especially if you have friends (or you) own a lot of mismatched sets or are usually short one or two glasses during a dinner party. They have a variety to choose from with different price ranges to fit within any given budget. Because you're saving cash by doing your spending here, they have bar kits, wine accessories and more to make your gift giving dollars stretch even further, making you look twice as generous as you made yourself out to be originally. If you have someone that likes sweets or likes to cook, they have gift basket items or pre-made boxes already created for giving. This is helpful because it's already wrapped and you only have to peel off the price tag before handing over to the recipient. Godiva and other big brands are significantly cheaper here, too. Even if you're just wanting to spruce up your living spaces, this is a great place to find odds and ends and decorations for other holidays throughout the year. Very disappointed in this location, it was a hot day yesterday when I noticed a car parked right in front of home goods with a dog in the car panting and windows up, we stood next to the car for about 5 mins then went inside and asked the manager if they could announce over the speaker for the owner to come up but they said the store policies didn't allow them to do so. So had to take care of it ourselves and call the police, the owner walked out 15 mins laters arms full of home goods bags and left before the cops arrived. read more

I've been a long time shopper and supporter of Homegoods. Today I came in with my baby and bought a few home items. I noticed one was defective so I asked if they had another in back. The supervisor, Vanessa, informed me that what is out is all they have. She acknowledged the damage and said "I can take .50cents off of it." I said, ".50 cents? Do you even know the cost of the item?" She said, "It doesn't matter. Do you want .50 cents off or not?" She said it in a very rude and condescending way in front of three other cashiers and customers nearby. She made me feel like I damaged the item for a discount. It was very humiliating. I really love love home goods. There are so many trendy home items I want to buy! I only wish there was one closer to me, I don't visit this one very much because it's a little bit of a drive. We (my wife and I) shopped at this store few times, and brought few things,I thought the store is clean and has pretty good count of inventory ,and price is fair. Two weeks ago We went to the store and brought couple items,and I found out I lost my cell phone the next day,I went to the store and asked the manager Karla about my phone, she told me nothing came out but asked me to write down my contact info. Just in case,I thought that shall Be a wash,but I did it anyway,to my surprise,she called me the next day and I got my phone back,so definitely I recommend the store,since honesty and a competent manager deserve it! read more

Oh my...have I reached Heaven or is this just a really amazing dream? I had a gift card for HomeGoods but had never actually been to one before so when I was in the area visiting a friend, we decided to pay the store a visit. From the moment we walked in and saw the goods everywhere, we knew we were in the right place. Blankets and storage bins and furniture...oh my! I legitimately could have spent an entire Saturday in here. Everything is organized by room/area of the house. The clearance aisles are a little more of a mish mosh so you have to do a little digging, the standard clearance aisle protocol really. Prices are great. In some cases even less than a Target. They're a part of the TJ Maxx family so like those stores, the items they have rotate so they won't always have the same things every time you go in, which for me, I think means I'm going to have to join HomeGoods Anonymous. The staff was really friendly here. There was a pretty long line when we checked out but it moved really quickly. And once you're done you can hop over to see a movie or get a pizza at Blaze, maybe even do your grocery shopping at Ralphs. The possibilities are endless! read more

If you enjoy shopping at HomeGoods this store is a must stop destination! The store seems to carry an abundant supply of fantastic values and has the largest selection I think I've ever seen at any location. They literally have something for everyone. I was so impressed that I had to bring my wife back to see for herself. The staff is very helpful and was busy restocking and organizing. We were trying to run down some items for our New Years eve party and thanks to Madeline and her help we were able to find everything we needed plus a few impulse items I slipped in. #homegoods. # great-service read more

I don't think leaving a review here will help but I will give it a chance. after reading a couple recent bad reviews, I guess we were here talking about the same "Caucasian guy" who looks like the floor manager, loud and rude. We customers don't deserved to be treated this way. I never had a problem shopping here until today. He is either sexist or racist. Love the store and often hit multiple home goods stores and the yorba linda one has EXCELLENT customer service, but this location lacks any help whatsoever. after standing in the line for 10 minutes while two employees talked, i was finally helped and once explaining i wanted a piece of furniture in the back, she said well how heavy was it and then proceeded to ask me to get it. i'm 9 months pregnant, so that wasn't an option and i pointed that out. ended up leaving, and even though a great deal, i was so frustrated and the young lady didn't even care. seriously, please help me out! no one was in the store either ... so couldn't even blame it on the store being busy. love homegoods but this location is a huge bummer read more

I am an avid HomeGoods shopper, and I really mean it, as I am nearly there every other day. One thing or I should say person that deters me from enjoying my experience at this particular store is one of the managers or assistant managers - I am not certain of his name, but he is caucasian, has very short hair, and has tattoos. He is rude to customers, and doesn't discount items well enough even is they are damaged. He appears unprofessional and not knowledgeable. I sort of even cringe when I see that he is on the floor. The other manager who has glasses, is latin and speaks Spanish - is much nicer and professional. read more

This store has everything! It is a designer's dream! Motivational wall paintings for my business, beautiful bathroom sets, frames, fake flowers in vases and so much more! Yesterday we were helped by Christine. She was extremely sweet and I was able to save 10% off my entire purchase after I applied for a store card, which can also we used at TJ Max. Christine provided us with beyond excellent customer service and I hope she helps us again at the register. I look forward to decorate the rest of my spa room at this location very soon!! read more

I took my Mother out shopping at the Brea location on 5/9/19 3:30pm, she paid for an item she purchased. The cashier dark hair older was not happy when my Mom put the money bill on the counter so she can count out the change to hand to the cashier. I get it, cashiers would like all the money handed to them. The cashier showed herself by throwing the change on the counter, I know why she did this but my 80 year old Mother didn't. This location is nice but with spiteful people like this working there it diminishes the store. To the cashier shame on you, and you walked away quickly because you knew what you had done was wrong. read more

If I could give no star review, I would. Been going to Homegoods for years, I've always had a pleasant experience, everyone is helpful, their pieces are always unique and nice. However today, I tried returning a damaged piece, and a male named Leo had to look up all sorts of unecessary information when clearly the receipt and tags say otherwise. I have never had anyone so unwilling to help and acted like It was my fault the product was damaged. If it were on clearance then maybe, but even then his behavior and his approach was ridiculously stringent and unnecessary. I went to another branch and was helped without any trouble. He was rude and impersonable. Also this particular Homegoods is very untidy and unorganized. This location is very cluttered and almost unshoppable, I've been to other home goods and they are very nicely organized. I went there 2 weeks ago to look around and I purchased a few items, one of my items was a framed piece that had a wood frame with a class price in the middle, well the wood was split in 2 places and the glass was loose. Well I figured ok I'll still buy it because I can fix it so I asked if it was discounted because it was $50 and they looked it over and said well we can give you $5 off ....... not what I was expecting from a badly damaged item.. I wasn't going to argue and just purchased it anyways because I loved the item. But I work in retail and i never let a customer leave unsatisfied when it comes to a damaged markdown. Considering I had a horrible time at Ross / Tustin the day before, I thought I would get my home decor somewhere else. First thing, I walked in the door and was hit with the cleanlyness!! So clean and color coordinated. Second, I grab a cart and walk to the prints section and noticed a line. Soon as I did a manager called for assistance and ,Wow, tada, an additional cashier appears. This is great!! I needed assistance lifting a plant into my cart and actually got assistance, AND the same manager told me to get him to take it to my car!!! The manager/supervisor named KAELA had a terrible attitude and poor behavior. It's a shame that she is the one posing as a leader here because she is a horrible reflection of the company. This home goods seriously needs to reconsider its hiring process. Worst employee I've encountered to date. There was a mix up in prices and she nearly refused to charge what was tagged on the product, which I was purchasing 8 of. Terrible! I went shopping with my friend and was looking at dog beds and this ghetto worker asked what type of dogs we had an when we mentioned the breed she rolled her eyes and shook her head. Terrible customer service. I have gotten so many things from this store and today that I came to returned a couple of soap dispensers because they started to get rusted after only 2 weeks, the cashier was extremely rude since the moment she called the next customer in line. She didn't even say hello, she said that only this one time they were going to accept the return because the product was used. She automatically assumed I bought it 2 months ago and I told her I had gotten them 2 weeks ago and didn't even bother checking out the date. I've scored some awsome things at Home Goods. The type of merchandise stays relatively the same but the actual products rotate through. So if you liked something, you're better off buying it rather than trying to return to get it later because once its gone, theres no guarantee they will stock it again. I think the best deal I got was for a extra large 30" italian cutting board with no price tag. The associate went to the cutting board area and matched it with a similar product at $75. I was a little hesitant at first but decided to buy it because I wanted a large cutting board. When I looked it up later this thing was going for $300-$400. Yaaaaaasssss read more

Unfortunately there's no negative star option.. I am a long time home goods/TJ Maxx customer and have been loyal to these stores for years. I just recently moved to Brea and this homegoods located off imperial was my closest option. I have come a few times and had no issue. I never have issues at retail stores and have patience and sympathy for retail workers because of what they deal with everyday. Unfortunately the past 3 times I visited this location I had TERRIBLE customer service extremely unhelpful, had no knowledge about a specific product and blew off issues. I had a return issue that turned out to be the fault of the cashier from the previous day and got extreme snobby attitude from an associate only to turn me over to a loud disruptive male manager who kept calling me "MA'M MA'M". All of this while my toddlers with me and they had no remorse for the trouble they put me through. This location just lost a loyal customer and I will not refer this location to any of my family or friends. read more

This place is awesome. It is always packed with people on the weekends hunting for the best home accessories. I come here almost twice a month and always excited to see all the new products that they keep getting. They have a great selection of furniture, lamps, & chairs. Very great prices. The only downfall is that you have to go look for an employee all over the place in order to get some help since they are always so busy. read more

I've usually had good experiences however today I found these dog mats, exactly the same except for color, one marked for 16.99 and the other for 12.99. When I brought it up to the front, the clerk called her manager who said "we don't mark the price, it comes to us like that." I really wanted the blue mat but she wouldn't even price match, would only take $2 off. I know this might seem petty but her attitude was what sucked. I've been to other Homegoods and have had pretty good experieces with staff. I went in this morning right at 9:30am. Upon checkout, the long brown hair girl was not friendly nor helpful at all!! I asked her to check another store for an item and she told me "I can check while I'm helping others." What she should have said was "let me see if I can get someone to help you." She then asked if I had the number to the Los Alamitos store because she didnt have it on her list (bs). This employee suggested that I call myself and left it at that. What poor customer service here. I wasn't in the mood to deal with her laziness so I left. Hopefully her manager see's this and invest some time to teach her how to handle future situations like that! read more
