As someone who used to go to TJ Maxx very often specifically to buy inexpensive perfume, I cannot stand the fact that this location places ALL of their $10-$20 perfume IN THE ACTUAL CHECKOUT LINE. How am I supposed to shop for these without literally cutting in line, or blocking other customers from checking out?! I get that perfume is a frequently shoplifted item, but there HAS to be another place in the store where they can be that deters shoplifters. You can always find something here like shoes, clothes for woman , kids and men too. Name brand stuff too no not Gucci or Prada but Nordstrom brand's for less than the rack or the same. Store is always clean and seems organized. Staff have been very helpful and nice after waiting in there treacherous line with all the eye candy. Good marketing tactic as it's mostly useless junk. Parking is always crazy and people make there own spots but you just go with the flow. Usually surprised that they r up with trends! Good job read more

Huge. And.....bonkers magonkers with the lines. It is standard to see a line of 25+. Large HomeGoods and TJ Maxx combined. I would give it more stars but get cranky nearly every time I'm there. Maybe that's because the store is so huge you'll likely have your blood sugar drop before you can journey to the back of the store and out again. God be with you if you decide to buy anything and have to stand in line. At Christmas it is standard to see 50 in line. Again....bonkers. There's nearly always a zillion swarming women with a sense of entitlement as they push and brush past you, reaching across your face to snatch something they want. It's sort of like Opposite Day of Emily Post or Amy Vanderbilt. And yes, on the weekends people must get a discount for bringing as many miserable young children as possible into the store. Last- I don't know the store manager but see him there regularly. He is a king of customer service. He literally walks through the store and asks customers how they are doing and if he can help His good vibes are so strong it sort of erases the miserable energy of the throngs of pushy customers. Just wear tennis shoes and go check it out. Try really hard to go during odd hours. You'll like it. It's next level TJ Maxx. read more

Racist Employee. I spoke with two managers after my wife was embarrassed by one employee at this store, making a comment loud enough for other people to hear. In the past month and a half, I have spoken to two store managers (Micha and Thomas) and absolutely nothing has been done. I always get promised a call, and after several weeks of waiting, nothing happens. It is sad to see that this kind of behavior has not repercussions. It is interesting that this kind of behavior is not tolerated (or so they say), but noting gets done. read more

I have been a super fan of TJMaxx for years. Cold stop. Today at TJMaxx the store manager "Jackie" said the tags on the clothing I returned did not match what the clothing items were. They implied I somehow stole the clothes, put real TJMaxx tags on the items, and then tried to return them. Just consider how much effort that would take on a $19.99 blouse and a $9.99 sport bra. I was so angry I dumped the $300 worth of items I was purchasing on the counter and walked out. I have a TJMaxx cc that I use A TON. Canceling. Target here I come. read more

I've never been a huge TJ Maxx fan, though lately I've found myself frequenting the stores a bit more than usual. This one's a little newer than the location closest to me, and being connected to Home Goods is pretty snazzy, plus they seem to have a greater selection than some of the other stores, so it's probably my favorite of the options in this area. Most of what they carry is not what I would normally shop for, but on occasion I've discovered some pretty good finds at this location in particular: Wildfox sweatshirts for $29.99, Free People bralettes, Bite brand lip products, Library of Flowers perfumes and body sprays, and Ole Henriksen skincare. Also, they carry Juicy Couture velour sweat suits! Did you know they are attempting to bring them back? It's kind of funny, and I don't know how I feel about it, except let's all just admit they are darn comfy. I most recently visited on a Saturday, and it was packed! Now, it should be noted it was December, and part of that had to be owing to the surge of Christmas shoppers. Walking around the store itself wasn't too challenging, however check-out took a good ten minutes, and I was in a rush. Just an FYI, or a consideration to make if you're deciding when to go as that wasn't really the fault of the store. Employees were fine, if not overly friendly, but again it was very busy. My one other complaint would be that while the parking area seems generous, during popular shopping times it fills up surprisingly quickly. read more

I buy furniture and home goods here. Amazing stock of these items... ..but the clothing and toys are terrible poor quality rubbish.. good suitcases... lousy awful required long long long long long long long consistently long long long long long lines.... through a gauntlet of stuff noone needs... Also the TJ Max card is 27% interest, AND your only "reward" are easily lost $10 certificates with your bill earned at a 2% kickback rate.. Their baskets used to be awsome, now most of them are dross... the kinds that shed if you barely rub them with your hand... I am not publicly going to confess how many times I visit this store...but if they had frequent flyer miles, I would be promoted to first class for the rest of my life. This is my absolute favorite store to visit because on the left side, I can get all the things I don't need for my house. Then on the right side, I can get everything I don't need for me. I have been visiting this store for a little over a year now. I actually even signed up for the TJ Maxx credit card when I was at this location in November. There isn't always a lot of people on the sales floor helping, but I am okay with that because I just want to be left alone to shop lol. The selection in this store is incomparable; which is a bad thing for my bank account but good in every other way! Once I check out, I have literally never ever had a bad experience checking out. I love shopping here. Home goods is on one side of the store and T J Maxx is on the other. I love finding new world food items that are not at my local grocery store. Get it when you see it, as it probably won't be there when you go back. As far as the clothes part of the store...ehh they are not my style and actually ugly. I'm standing in line as I write this, 3 cashiers and a line of 30+ and there are 3 more employees not doing anything behind the same counter not helping people check out and not seemingly caring or doing any work. Specifically a Rebecca L who keeps just walking from one end of the cashiers to the other and hasn't helped or done anything in the past 15 minutes. I'm honestly shocked. TJ Maxx I'm a loyal customer to this location and you're really making me rethink coming here and driving further south I would probably have made it home sooner! read more

This location also doubles as a Homegoods. Peak consumerism at work folks. ;) This place is always crowded, why? It's like everyone who's unemployed shows up here for their mandatory shopping shift. Seriously, 1:00 p.m on a Tuesday and yet the queue is obscenely long. I will say though, the cashiers keep it moving, even if they do try to swindle you for a rewards card, every time, without fail. Do they make commission? Some of these people seem genuinely appalled when I won't commit to their card I literally can't afford. I am a broke college student, why do you think I'm scouring a discount store like a crack head? This location has a huge selection of cosmetics and beauty related products. I'm talking an entire section of makeup wipes. However, the clothes section seems a bit smaller than others and is usually quite hit and miss. Like most stores, not a fantastic male selection. But the cosmetics section is God tier. Seriously, this location pops OFF. If you are a makeup junkie like myself. this is your discount heaven. You may have to wade through utter bullshit but they often have a sizable selection of nice brands: Anastasia Beverley Hills, Too Faced, Lorac, etc. Some of the clientele are straight Neanderthal and open the lipsticks and such to swatch them, but that's what sanitizing is for right? You know what else I love to an unhealthy degree? Bath products, and my god does this place have a swollen selection. I found the soap I now use RELIGIOUSLY here. The best part is everything is just so cheap. These products can be as much as 2/3 off. The catch is that....it is all so unpredictable and never stays the same. You may find a product here once and never again, or once in a blue moon. It is a sad but true reality of my friend TJ MAXX. But it's all worth it in the end, even if you have to battle the older moms who talk shit about their daughter's in law between the shelves. Buckle up, we're going to TJ. read more

Was at the store during the weekday. I always come to this store and its always been a great experience with finding items I need or want with my children also loving the store. Aside from the great items they have out. Everytime I am there there is a HomeGoods worker of the name Lily. This woman always has some sort of attitude wether it was at me at one occasion then the other when shes helping someone in the line / checkout. I have worked at retail for some of my early adolescent years in the past and I know good customer service when I see it. This isnt the case here. I was shopping at the Brickyard location Yesterday, while looking at shoes, a short Latino woman came right up next to me and started dropping shoes, pushing my cart, and just generally being strange and distracting. Then from the corner of my eye, I notice a short Latino man moving my cart and acting like he was putting shoes on the end shelf. I thought he was an employee, he had a lanyard around his neck. When I looked back at the woman who was dropping shoes, she looked at the man. I immediately felt something was off, I looked to see my purse was still in the cart, but opened it and saw my wallet was missing. The man took off down the back isle, I decided to run to the front of the store to alert security, thinking they would help if he tried to leave the store. They said they had no security that could help, and I would need to call the police. one of the customers called them and just then I saw the man leaving at the far door. I left the store and chased after him, but I'm 69 years old so didn't catch him. PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SOUROUNDINGS AND KEEP YOUR PURSE ON YOUR PERSON!! Especially at TJ Maxx....if you get robbed, they won't assist you! I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to. I'm heartbroken! read more

I am not a big fan TJ Maxx. Yet I do really like HOMEGOODS, which often is located in a TJ Maxx store, like at his location. If you are in the mood to dig dig dig, then go to the dressing room and try on try on try on try on, and then give the lady with the number cards EVERYTHING back, then by all means go to a store like TJ Maxx. I think I would just rather go to a massive sale at Downeast or Macy's. The best departments at TJ's are sunglasses, shoes, beauty, scarves , purses and jewelry. But I am just not a "Maxxinista". The commercials do not reflect the store experience, IMHO. read more

I'd take Marshalls over TJ Maxx any day of the week. However, with the Home Goods next door I find myself coming here from time to time. Decent but not great selection of Men's clothing at lower prices than a dept. store. Some oddball snacks and candies at the checkout lanes can be fun to try. Atmosphere is pretty haphazard and cluttered. Mirrors hidden behind giant rolling racks of clothing. Consistently long lines. read more

This particular TJ Maxx and Home Goods is a good size with decent variety. The staff overall is fairly friendly and helpful. Bargain shoppers will like the variety. Typically when we go to TJ Maxx my wife will find great deals while the men's sections have very little selection. This TJ is consistently a bit better in the men's. Overall the store is good. It lacks a bit in cleanliness at times, thus my 4 rather than 5 stars. read more

Tj maxx is like D.I. except filled with rejected new items that have been discontinued, or new clothes with crooked seams. I don't come in often, but felt compelled to write this review as i could not find a manager. Yesterday, I witnessed 2 young female employees making fun of a customer. I wouldnt normally write about it but this particular customer they were mocking was disabled! I was disgusted and shocked to see employees treating customers that way. Does tj maxx not train their employees (obviously their parents failed as well)? Considering their job is putting junk like garden gnomes, old ground coffee, and napkin holders on shelves all day...i found it revolting that they were, mocking and passing judgment on a disabled person's life also a customer during their shifts. You never know what you will find in this store. You walk in with the hope you find a new treasure attitude versus, I'm looking for a _______________ . GREAT store for those one of a kind gifts at year around good prices. Sometimes the store can be a little messy, but I am assuming it is more due to customers then staff. This store does have a very large amount of stock that is out. This is one of the few places I buy socks at. Always cheaper then department stores for name brands. I also buy beauty products there like shower gel, body lotion, hand soap and bath salts. Check it out, you will most likely find something that you can't live without. read more

Today I was asked 12 times throughout the store if I wanted to open a credit card. I had to repeat my "no" reply 3 times to each person that asked me (when I walked in the store, in the dressing room, while browsing and again at the checkout). This location has been my favorite go to for everything. I love TJ maxx but lately their selection of clothing has been very poor and they seem desperate. I went to TJ Maxx today to return some things.  One of the items was perfume.  When I got to the register, the cashier explained that perfume and makeup could not be returned.  She said it was open and in all honesty, it had been opened already before I even picked it up.  Most things are open at TJ Maxx because customers always want to smell things before purchasing it.  I asked if it stated perfume could not be returned on the receipt and the cashier said it didn't.  She then asked a woman by the name of Theresa if the perfume could be returned.  She said it could not and then walked over.  I asked her the same question about it being on the receipt or in writing anywhere else.  She  said it isn't written anywhere and then said in the most disgusting and rude tone, "It's common sense."  I then said it's not common sense and she said it is and went back to her register.  What is that to say to a customer?  During this whole debacle, I took note of her name and the cashier's name.  I told the cashier I was going to contact corporate and she became a little upset and nervous and said she didn't do anything.  I told her I would not say anything disparaging about her because she was nice but Theresa was the issue.  I asked if Theresa was a manager and I was told yes but then later found out that she is a coordinator of the front of the store and that Jessica is actually the manager and Theresa's supervisor.  I had someone page Jessica and I told her what happened.  She apologized and remedied my situation.  I told her I understand not taking makeup back but didn't get the whole perfume thing.   She was extremely professional and understanding.  My question is someone can bring back intimate apparel and swimsuits after they put their vagina all in it but you can't bring back perfume?  Make it make sense please. I shop at TjJ Maxx often and Jessica was beyond fantastic but I hope this was just an isolated incident.  If something happens like this again, I will not spend another dime at any TJX store. read more

I am so disappointed with TJ MAXX, I don't usually shop at the brickyard but recently I bought a pair of pants and they didn't fit my son.. I came back to TJ MAXX to return them, and the "manager" tells me that since I do not have the receipt (the pants still had the TJ MAXX tags) I would have to go to TRAGET to return them! Because the pants are a target brand.. what the hell is wrong with this location? Why would I have to go to Target to return something I bought at TJ MAXX? Blows my mind! She refused to help me! I am a regular at this location because I always love a good deal & the large selection. Every time I come I don't really have an opinion about anyone that works here and it is pretty much the same process checking out every time. Derick was my cashier yesterday and I was SO impressed by his customer service. He was patient, so nice, and made pleasant conversation. Let's be honest, this location has the best merchandise hands down. But, the customer service is THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! Nobody ever knows what they are doing and the managers can never focus on one thing. I just had to wait 25 minutes for someone to tell me they can't exchange a top because the price was cut off of the price tag. In all my years of shopping, I have NEVER heard that before. I understand store policies on returns and exchanges. But customer service should always be a priority. The fact that I had to wait almost a half of an hour for someone who wasn't even helping me, to tell me information that was passed along. Which gave me no explanation and I left frustrated. So I promptly tried to call the store to speak with a manager. After being on hold for 15 minutes, I hung up. How can anyone in customer service leave someone on hold for that long and not jump on quick to tell me that person is busy?! How is that possible?? Not a well managed store at all. Sucks because I was planning on spending 3 times the amount that shirt cost!!! read more

Last month I paid my bill of $35 on time, on the April 11th. On April 17th I paid $100 towards my next month's bill. As you can tell, this payment was made almost a full week after my normal due date. When I went into the store today, my card was declined. I was very confused, so called the card company. They said they thought I was just paying more towards the prior months bill, and had charged me a late fee and locked my account since my new bill was due May 11th. I asked how any of that made sense. This didn't seem to matter. They did wave the $25 late fee, but the customer service was just awful, and I was totally humiliated at the store. I've never heard of a company that punishes you for making your payment three weeks early. I still owe them $35 for the month I paid the $100 on, and they won't unlock my account till they get it. I also have never been late with this card. The question then is one of honesty, customer service, and just plain logic on the part of TJ Maxx. I'll be closing my card with TJ Maxx, and can take my money and business elsewhere. read more

Horrible experience today! They do not honor the prices they put on their items. They had a rug marked wrong and refused to sell it to me for the marked price. The lady who worked in home goods was extremely rude and non-apologetic for their mistake. In fact, she stormed away and wouldn't even talk to me. Needless to say - won't be back anytime soon.
