    Tallow fries

Made a reservation while in town for work. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Great menu selection and our waitress helped a ton. She went over all the Brazilian cuts to make my decision a lot easier. We ultimately decided on the panzanella salad, eggplant parm, Entraña cut, and Tallow fries. The salad was light and refreshing. Just wished the asparagus was cut smaller and did not have that hard of a bite. The vinaigrette was light and refreshing. Housemade croutons were a nice touch too. The eggplant parm had a nice crust but was pretty soft and soggy inside. Pretty thick cut from the picture you can see. Sauce had a nice subtle heat. The Entraña cut was a perfect medium rare. Chimmy was spot on. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed the bubbly from our waitress for our Anniversary!

One of my favorite spots and harder reservations to get in MPLS for a reason. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch. We often order the same menu items because why stray from a good thing. We usually get the following: Burrata (had kiwi and pistachio - so unique and flavorful) Beef tartare - seasoned so well Sweet corn agnolotto - unique and delicious Picanha steak - our favorite cut of Brazilian meat Papas aplastadas - comes with a gracious amount of Parmesan and bacon (need I say more) The wine and cocktail list is also unique and hits Parking can be tricky on a busy weekend night but valet is easy for $15

HOLY SMOKES. From start to finish, our time here was flawless! We were greeted upon entering the establishment by every employee which was refreshing. Our waters were never empty (as an indication of how well we were tended to). Every dish was FULL of flavor. Portion sizes were well-balanced and we still ended up taking food home with us. The steak was cooked to perfection, as recommended by our server, was juicy, and full of flavor. At times, there was a spice kick in the burrata, lobster dish, and empanadas that we were not expecting (pleasant surprise for us). Food was easily 10/10. Exceptional service by the staff here! - $$$$$$ (our bill for all of this food was $250) - parking is downtown street/ramps so add an additional $15-20 here (they do have a valet for $15) - ambiance is gorgeous with classic brick and botanical chic - noise level was fairly good for conversation

Truly an unbelievable dinner!! Got a reservation about two weeks in advance for our group of 4 for a Friday night. We got 8pm and it was just perfect. We were told that the mussels were a must get, and I can not restate this enough. The mussels are a MUST GET. They were unbelievable and SOOO many mussels. Our waiter Andy was truly outstanding. We really aren't picky eaters and we just asked Andy to assemble dishes for us to get a good tasting of the menu while staying in a certain budget and he exceeded it. We had the sweet corn agnolotto and it was truly out of this world. Just truly loved this dish. Creamy, flavorful and so perfect. We had a few Argentinian steaks and the one was Gorgonzola cream was truly incredible. You just get the papas bravas and the mushrooms were just delicious as well. If you are a vegetarian, you will have sooooo many options here that are so satisfying. You can not skip dessert, the gelato was our favorite. The wine selection is incredible. Again -- this spot was just incredible. HUGE shoutout to Andy F , he curated the best dishes and made the night so special.

Came here for brunch recently (my second time having brunch here) and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite spots as someone who's not a fan of traditional American breakfast. My first time I had the Turkish Eggs (not pictured) and OMG. That is the only way I want all my egg dishes prepared now. This time we started with Pa amb tomaquet which was a perfect balance of acidic, salty, and crunchy. Even if you're not an anchovies fan I recommend giving this dish a try as the texture is undetectable. My main was entraña steak w/ chimichurri sauce and two over medium eggs. Everything was perfectly prepared (per usual for this place) and I appreciated that the steak was the same price as the dinner menu but with the added value of the eggs. Definitely recommend for a group brunch experience!

Popped into Porzana last wknd with my brother and sat at the bar, what a lovely Argentinian haunt. No wait to sit at bar on a Friday eve, which was great We shared oysters, which was a lovely starter to pair with their recommended Barolo, along with the recommended potatoes (papas el horno, mojo picon was on point) Ambiance was laidback and attentive, service was perfect and let us catch up w/o being intrusive, very lovely staff front to back We ran out of room and didn't get to order everything on our list, but other starter items I'd like to try next time (that our barstool neighbors seemed to enjoy): tuna crudo, beef tartare, and empanadas Entree of wagyu beef, grass fed ribeye, and we had to tap out after that, but a wonderful experience, and will be back soon!

Porzana really nails the date night vibe with its dark, moody ambiance. From the moment you walk in to when you leave, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcomed. Every server we've had has been friendly, attentive, and great at giving recommendations. The food is unreal. Easily some of the best in the area. A few favorites are the chipas, pork empanadas, glazed carrots, and the agnolotti pasta. And of course, the steaks are a highlight. I love that they offer grass-fed options. We've tried a few cuts, including the Australian wagyu and Zabuton with béarnaise, and everything has been perfectly cooked, super tender, and well seasoned. The papas aplastadas are another must. Salty, creamy, and perfect for sharing. The only downside for me is dessert. The options feel a bit limited and nothing really stands out compared to how strong the rest of the menu is. But honestly, with food this good, it's hard to even save room. Overall, an incredible spot for a night out with amazing food, great service, and a really well done atmosphere.

My friend and I came her last night to celebrate her birthday. Jake was our waiter and he was fantastic! So knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and knew his wine! I have a gluten allergy and they had a separate GF menu. We started off with a couple of cocktails - mango!mango!mango! and between the sheets. The mango!x3 had a lovely smokey flavor to it that wasn't overwhelmed with the taste of tequila. For appetizers we ordered a dozen oysters, and a bread basket. They were able to make it half gluten free (udi's brand) and half sourdough. The brown butter it came with was to die for! We received complimentary chipas (also GF) which was a nice surprise. They were soft and cheesy, and paired very nicely with the mojo picon sauce that had a spicy kick to it. For our main entree we ordered the grass finished hanger and the entraña steaks, medium rare. Both were cooked perfectly. The entraña was tender and paired nicely with the chimichurri sauce. The hanger steak paired nicely with the au poivre sauce. For our dessert we received complimentary gelato. Jake was so appreciated and made sure we had a great time! We had an awesome experience at Porzana and highly recommend coming here.

Almost 5 stars (really a 4.5). Known for its steak and Argentinian beef cuts, Porzana also offers inspired options across poultry, seafood, and veggies. There is something for everyone. The sea bass is a personal favorite. Quintessential north loop vibe and dining space with top notch hosts and servers. Limited dessert options. Bread basket is extra. Pro tip: check out the speakeasy (Flora Room) at the back of the building for a pre meal cocktail or post meal nightcap.

happy (delicious) belated birthday to me safe to say Porzana was worth the wait (& weight) I'll be thinking about this one for a long time! the finest meal I can think of to start off my 27th year and grateful to spend it with my two favorite guys! seats were jampacked, wine was flowing & each plate was sent back totally clean. I totally understand why people obsess over this place and I'll be counting down the days until my next milestone so I can come back our s: 2 natural oysters for me beef tartare - to die for, just wish the bread was a little bit thinner. sooooo much flavor!!! empanadas - no notes. mafaldini estofado - superb, rich & so shareable 16oz grain finished ribeye - paired with all kinds of sauces to mix with, incredible to say the least! complementary dessert & champagne to sip on! agh, I want a do-over......

Went here for my birthday and it was a special celebration kind of place! They started us off with a complimentary glass of champagne for each my wife and I which was super cool! They really know their stuff there and helped us out with what steak to order. Everything else was incredible, my wife still talks about the mushroom tortellini. I think we'll be going back for her birthday! The place has a nice romantic dim lit feel to it with nice brick accents. We felt at home and cozy at our table while enjoying some 5 star quality food!

During my first visit to Porzana, all I could think was: what took me so long to get here? What a wonderful experience! From beginning to end--even on an incredibly busy Friday night--I had one of the most delightful dinners. To start, the ambiance is top tier: elegant décor, moody lighting, soft music. It all comes together to create an intimate, romantic vibe. Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, so we were escorted to the bar where seats had been set aside for us. We enjoyed some of the best cocktails prepared by the incredible mixologist, Anthony, who kept the drinks flowing effortlessly. A busy bar, but beautiful pours every single time. We sipped on: - Gigi: cute and lethal. - Solana: not for the faint of heart. - El Diablo: as spicy as the name suggests. - Old Fashioned: old faithful. - "Anthony's Off Menu" mix: orange, chocolate, Belvedere blend. After some time, we were transferred to our table. Although the tables are somewhat close together, this is a place that's easy to settle in and get lost in your own little world. We had the loveliest server, who gave a phenomenal first impression by introducing herself, walking us through the menu, making thoughtful recommendations, and chatting with us just enough to answer questions without rushing. Truly outstanding hospitality. For dinner we enjoyed: - Caviar Buñuelo: a crispy, fried buñuelo topped with caviar--the app that will live rent-free in my mind until I have it again. - Natural oysters in bone marrow flambadou. - Dressed oysters with chili vinegar & basil oil. - Tagliatelle lobster in brown butter: could happily eat this twice daily. - Papas aplastadas. - Picanha with spicy chimichurri: tender, juicy, and melts in your mouth. The meal was unreal. My only regret was skipping dessert--but we were so full and genuinely happy with everything we'd eaten that it just wasn't possible. I guess that's the perfect excuse to go back again.

This was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we received complimentary wine to start our dinner. We went in August and sat outside since they have a nice outdoor dining space. The food was fantastic. Both of the steaks we ordered were amazing. The tuna crudo and the burrata were great. The service was attentive and well paced. This is one of my new favorite restaurants and would definitely dine here again. I highly recommend this to anyone celebrating something special or just want a nice dinner.

The margherita pizza itself was very tasty, and the cheese-covered crust definitely makes for a striking presentation. That said, the shredded cheese on the crust was a bit overwhelming and took away from actually enjoying the crust itself. Our biggest issue was honestly the customer service and overall flow of the restaurant. As first-time visitors, it was very unclear whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or order at the counter, and we didn't receive much direction when we asked. Everything is very self-serve, including grabbing your own plates and water, which is totally fine once you know the process, but better communication would really improve the experience. Overall, we enjoyed the pizza and appreciated the creative style, though vegetarian options were somewhat limited. We'd likely return and just know what to expect next time.

I stopped by on a warm evening following the Legacy Cup, and the smell alone was worth the trip -- buttery pastry and savory fillings drifting out the door. The empanadas are the real deal -- perfectly golden on the outside, with just the right amount of crunch before you hit the soft, flavorful center. My favorites were the beef (rich, perfectly seasoned, with just enough spice) and the caprese (melty cheese, tomato, and basil that somehow feels both indulgent and fresh). Not to mention their french fries have that same golden crispy affect as well! Their chimichurri sauce is liquid gold. I ended up dipping everything in it -- no regrets. The staff was friendly and genuinely seemed excited to talk about their food, which made the experience even better. The space itself is cozy and bright, with a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to hang out for a bit, grab a mate or a local beer, and take your time. I do recommend this place however if you want to wash it down with a beverage, be aware of Malcolm yards costs.

Boludo seems to be Argentinian-owned and family-run. I ordered the Porteño and asked for extra parmesan because of an Instagram reel I've seen with parmesan covering the crust. Due to a small misunderstanding, they ended up giving me something even better.... A fully parmesan-covered pizza. It was probably the best thing I've eaten that entire trip. Truly a great blend of salt, acid, fat, and heat. The second day I tried the Campo and tried to ask for the same cheese covering but ended up with the style I saw in the reel with the crust covered in cheese. She's from Peru and she had cravings for some of her favorite childhood pastries, especially Alfajores. We ordered 3 kinds of pastries for a New Year's party. It was my first time trying all of them. They were GREAT! The sweet style pastries are quite a bit different from some of the traditional European-style pastries that we're all familiar with. Paola, the owner, is super friendly and charming. I had a blast talking to her when we picked up our order. She sells her pastries at several farmer's markets around the metro. She also delivers and caters special events. Finally, you can place an order on-line or over the phone and pick it up at her house. Paola operates the business out of her personal house on Gerard Avenue South in Minneapolis. So DON'T just show up at her front door unannounced. But she'll definitely schedule pickups at her house if it's convenient for you. Also, if you do a Google search, her address might come up in White Bear Lake. This is a commercial kitchen (not open to the public) where she makes all of her goodies. She's totally legal with all of the correct licensing, public health training, etc. I grilled her about this when first ordered from her...and she's good-to-go. My only (minor) gripe is her pastries are a little pricey. We got 3 dozen items (12 beef Empanadas and 24 sweet pastries) for $64.00. It was supposed to be $70. But we got a 6 dollar discount (50 cents each) because we wanted the Empanadas uncooked so we could cook them ourselves at our party. If you don't mind spending a little more money on something new, I highly recommend that you try them. You can call, e-mail, or message Paola...or find her at one of the farmer's markets in the summer. Try some Criollas Pastries -- yum!!! -Daddy Maxx Retro P.S. I wasn't sure exactly how to categorize Criollas so picked Latin American Restaurant -- Bakery -- Pop Up Restaurant.
