    Veggie omelette

Made it here at around 1:35 pm and they close at 2. We went thru the exit door as I didn't realize there was another entrance...but hey they still welcomed us and we dined it. Food came out quick and we made it out by 2 pm. Had the veggie omelette - pretty good I mean it's an omelette the cheese was on top style but the 12 grain toast that went with it was very good and I ended up eating all the bread carbs be darned.

I was finally able to make a visit and brought my wife for lunch. This place is located off Harrison Rd and in a strip mall with other businesses such as Vape store and across from Basilico New York Deli. As you walked, the restaurant is clean, cozy and vibrant. There were 3 items ordered: 1) Avocado Toast 2) Cuban Sandwich 3) Apple French Toast. Let's start with the avocado toast, as it was presented on a platter with two grain toasted topped with smashed avocado and your choice of eggs which in this case was medium over easy and it comes with your selected sides - masala's with balsamic. Everything was delicious but I prefer my eggs to have a slight crust around the whites. The next item was the Cuban sandwich which didn't come in your typical Cuban style pressed sandwich. This was more a settle and healthy approach using 2 slice sourdough, pork, ham, honey mustard and pickles. The flavor was there as a Cuban version but kinda of a unique way of presenting it. For dessert, I wanted to try the apple stuffed French toast but only order half which comes with 2 pieces instead of 4. On the menu, it stated it was stuffed but I only found 2 pieces of apple chunks so I wasn't able to taste the full effect. It was also garnished with fresh blueberries and a bottle of warm syrup. Our server Kaya was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't mind making another visit to try other items on their menu.

The food was amazing, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Everything about the experience made us feel comfortable and welcome. I'll definitely be coming back!

Delightful and such a great place! The decor is very country chick and crisp. Our waitress so efficient and fast! The kitchen produced some colorful and creative dishes with wonderful presentation. The blueberry banana and almond pancakes were amazing!! The bacon was cooked perfectly and not fatty at all! The eggs Benedict was creamy, flavorful and delicious. We ate everything! The cappuccino and lattes were creamy, had a touch of cinnamon and so good. This place is a win win!

Food was delicious! We went for brunch on. Sunday (around 10:30 and it's definitely packed (30min wait for 3 ppl). Worth the wait! We had a kids menu item, one breakfast and one lunch meal and all were delicious. The fries have some sort of batter on them which makes them crispy and flavorful.

We walked into a staff whirlwind. It's clear that they aren't used to being super busy. This was graduation weekend so I would like to give them some grace, but I think not being acknowledged by the hostess of manager while waiting to even put our name on the waitlist is a little crazy. After finally getting seated, we were served quickly by our waitress. The food was good we essentially got the same thing the perfect breakfast a kids combo which is the same thing with less meat. It's a platter of bacon, eggs, sausage, and two pancakes. The pancake are the perfect size for and our bacon was cooked perfectly like perfectly crispy. But it was awkward attempting to get a refill on water and before I could even say I wanted to order a different drink the waitress just brought the check and left it. Overall, the restaurant has a cute homey vibe with a nice outdoor eating space, which is where we ate, along with good food, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Stopped in to treat myself to a late breakfast and wanted to try something new in my area. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming without doing "too much". I sat at the bar which is not my usual preference, but the service was prompt and my server was friendly. I ordered The Perfect Combo which was $15.99. A bit on the pricy side for two eggs, two pieces of bacon and pancakes or French toast. I decided to ask for the raspberry French toast. I requested softly scrambled eggs with cheese and emphasized that I did not like eggs scrambled too hard and wanted to be sure the eggs were cracked eggs and not powdered eggs and was reassured. What came out was hard scrambled eggs that did not look like cracked eggs. To give her credit, the waitress asked if the eggs were ok because they looked harder than she expected as well. My issue was taken care of immediately and satisfactorily. Now my impression...the meal was ok, but not anything I would rush back to experience again. Once I received my bill, that confirmed it because the plate you see in the photo cost me $21.48 in the end. I would have appreciated knowing how much extra the mediocre raspberry French toast was going to cost me. To be honest, I was expecting some real raspberry filling in the French toast and it was just too much raspberry jelly or jam spread between two pieces of French toast...ok.

Out of this world!! Most places have generic breakfast. Not this place! Everything was 10/10 taste and quality. Also the waitress was so sweet!

We went in Friday and was told no baked oatmeal... I wanted to cry just disappointed. The very nice waitress went and looked in the freezer and found some save the day we went back in today again I wanted baked oatmeal and again I was told no there's none available. If something sells so fast wouldn't you make more? Just disappointed.

My wife likes the stuffed blueberry French toast usually but I ordered it today and it was horrible. The French toast was burnt and there was hardly no blueberry filling in it. What a disappointment that they would serve food that looked and tasted this bad. I have uploaded a photo below so you can see how burnt it was.

Last week, my husband and I went to Homemade. He hadn't been there, and I bragged about how fantastic and big their sandwiches are. We ordered the Peppered Turkey with bacon, Brie, and apple, to split, which is the same sandwich that I ordered the last time I was there. My husband also ordered a ham steak side. When the sandwich came, it was literally half full of turkey meat, than what they'd served me before. So when it came to the table, I was a bit confused. My husband and I took a bite of the sandwich, but then I decided to stop, and bring it to the waitresses attention. Either I got much more meat than I was supposed to get the first time, or we got gypped this time. Looking at our sandwiches, the waitress definitely agreed that the photo I showed her of my sandwich on April 6, was what they are supposed to look like. She asked if we wanted them to make us another sandwich, or bring extra turkey meat, etc. We noted that it wasn't necessary for them to make us a whole other sandwich, but if they could bring us some extra turkey, that would be great. She brought us some extra turkey, apologized, and said that the guy who was working was filling in, and "rusty". Appreciated her making it right, and we showed our appreciation in a hefty tip. Once we added the extra turkey on top of the sandwich, it looked more like the sandwich I had on April 6. Even though they were inconsistent, they did make it right, and that's the most important part. The next morning, we went to Homemade again (second day in a row). We were seated immediately with no wait. They were busy, but not overly busy. This time we went for breakfast with my 14 year old stepdaughter. She ordered a half order of French toast, my husband ordered a coffee, and the "Perfect Combo" with 2 eggs (scrambled), 2 bacon, 2 sausage links, and 2 pancakes or French toast. He got the French toast "stuffed apple" for an up charge. I ordered a coffee, and a la carte, 2 eggs (medium) and a ham steak. We waited an hour for food...an hour. We saw the waitress we had the night before, but we had a different waitress this visit. Waitress checked on us zero times during that time period. Waitress refilled our coffee zero times during that time (when she came with our food after an hour, I had to ask for a refill even then, as she started to walk away). Waitress didn't take one minute out, to let us know that our food would be ready shortly...there was no communication whatsoever. When we received our food, we had everything except my eggs. Without me saying anything, she said, "...and I'll be right back with your eggs!" We all sit there waiting to eat. And we're still waiting, so I look back, and see her at the drink station filling up waters for a new table. Then she takes the waters to the new table, and proceeds to take their order. Meanwhile, it's been at least 5 minutes, and I'm still sitting there waiting with a slice of ham, and no eggs. Finally she comes back with my eggs...over easy. I ordered medium, but I'm already fed up with this restaurant. Not only did we sit waiting an hour for our food, with no refills on a $4 cup of coffee, but again, no consistency on what they're sending out of the kitchen. The first night, the ham steak was a true ham steak. The very next morning, the ham steak looked like they skinned the end off of a piece of the thinnest piece of ham they could find. I mean, considerable differences, and certainly not worth $5.49! The stuffed French toast was barely stuffed. Everything that we received was okay, but certainly not worth the prices, or anything to brag about. We will never go back to Homemade again. Super disappointed, because the first time was fantastic! The other two times proved that there are major inconsistencies in both food and service. If we're spending $55 on one breakfast with coffee, one half order of regular French toast (with no meat), nor a beverage, and 2 eggs and a paper thin "ham steak" and coffee, I expect a far better experience!

It gets the job done for being a hotel and that's about all I can give it. Beware the parking experience is a little strange as it doesn't have a visitor lot and has to be valet so if you have a car be warned. The rooms are nothing fantastic, they feel very early 2000s which isn't bad but isn't great either. I feel the bathroom could use a remodel because the sink drains were clogged, and the bathroom felt very outdated. The room was spacious though with two queen beds, a chair and very cold A/C. It also had a nice tv in the room too. Beds also felt very comfortable which is nice for a hotel. I definitely would consider this hotel again now that my expectations are a little lower on what to expect. The hotel bar was always dead without anyone around, but the lobby in it of itself was very spacious and accommodating. I also really enjoyed how many things that were walkable around downtown Fredericksburg from the hotel. A ton of breweries, the river front, and restaurants were all within a mile to walk which made it a breeze. It's a very small town with not a lot going on during the week but it did the job.
