I needed to remodel my outdated kitchen and I had looked at a few companies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I ran across Home Plus went inside and was pleasingly surprised by the selection available and their expertise!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jason and Florence are the owners of Home Plus and we are an absolute pleasure to work with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I found that their prices were reasonable and very professional in their services. Home Plus installed all the cabinetry in my kitchen. I waited a while to post a review. My cabinets have been installed for almost 2 years now and they still look absolutely brand new! The cabinets are excellent quality. There were a few tweaks that needed to be made but, Jason and Florence always found a way to resolve any issues. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We are very happy with their services!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Our new kitchen

Thanks to some water damage from above, we had to replace our ceiling and cabinets in our condo. This led to us re-thinking the entire kitchen space. The design I came up with required running the water, drain, and gas lines in a new direction. Jayson was able to connect me with a great licensed plumbing contractor and they realized our dream of an open floor plan, kitchen island, more light, & tons of counter space. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a couple tweaks along the way which Jayson accommodated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He stood by his initial estimate and completed the project in a matter of weeks. We're so happy with our kitchen!

    Complete Kitchen Remodel

This is a long overdue review, but Jayson & his team completed a complete Kitchen & Bathroom remodel for me summer of last year and did an incredible job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jayson helped from the design consultation all the way to the finished project and stayed accessible at all times for any requests.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They made every effort to work within my budget and everything turned out spectacular, just check out the pictures. I would highly recommend Homeplus Kitchen & Bath to anyone looking to do a remodel/overhaul of their place, they can do it all!

I love my kitchen pantry cabinets I bought and don't regret it one bit. Trust me. And I've been an elite helper for 9 years and have dealt with many contractors and vendors as an Office Manager. Yes I could've bought something from ikea but this is solid wood and will last a lifetime. Jayson and Florence are in top of it. They've contacted me more than I did them. Always kept me informed and sent pictures of knobs and samples. My sister in law loved our set up so much that she ordered a pantry for herself. My mother in law wants one too but she doesn't have space in her kitchen unless it's completely remodeled. They came and installed as scheduled. Matched our existing cabinets, knobs and moulding. They are experienced and know what they are doing. I also did my research and called around. Other prices were actually much higher. I've remodeled a kitchen before and bought from a place that ordered them from China and the quality that Jayson and Florence buy are so much better. They pick up stock from a distributor locally so I didn't have to wait long. My previous cabinet installer, I had to wait for a month. Apex, cabinet wholesalers and all the places in the nearby neighborhood are much higher. Give them a try. You won't regret it.

What can u say? The project from start to finish took about a month where the initial consultation with Homeplus being a conversation about what we wanted. The waterfall effect was the priority because we liked the style. Jayson asked for measurements and then he gave us a quick quote for the project within a day. Compared to other quotes we liked his and the timeline. The installation took 3-4 sessions. The first was measuring and confirming the dimensions we wanted. We wanted 42" by 85" where one side is cabinets and the other a bar. Then Jayson dropped off cabinet materials the next session with a handyman installing a pony wall to support since the waterfall is an effect and not actual support. This was needed for a width greater than 36". If we didn't have a pony wall, a set of two columns would have stuck out on the bar side with 6" cabinets. About 45 minutes. After the pony wall, cabinets were installed the next session which was really quick. The quality of these cabinets are great and they have the gentle close effect. About 1.5 hours. The last session was installing the quartz top and waterfall. This took the longest because the contractors had the slab in a truck and cut it on site since measurements needed to be taken dynamically. For some reason our floor wasn't level or straight compared to the outer wall of the kitchen. Anyways, this was amazing to see since we live in a townhouse, the team carried the slab up our stairs no problem and got this installed. The finish was flawless and they even sealed everything with silicone. Jayson runs a nice business and his family came out to take pictures as well. There was one follow up session to install the side paneling on the bar side. Overall, we are happy with our finished product and it was worth it. The quote is more than reasonable compared to others in the area and the quality of work is in my opinion was better than some other places that showed us samples. Also, Jayson, his contractors and family business were really great to work with. We were really happy to give him our business and hope to work with him and the team again in the future for our cabinet and renovation needs!

If I could give Jason and his team 100 stars, I would. We had a flood in our kitchen island and our original plan was to only renovate the island. But seeing how beautiful the island came out, we decided to renovate our entire kitchen. Jason and his team were so kind and patient with us, and also attentive and. Answered all of our questions and even made suggestions. I trusted them to do what was best for our kitchen. And it turned out so beautiful. I can be so indecisive sometimes and they helped me decide what would look best in our kitchen. With any future projects we will have in our house, I will definitely be contacting Homeplus! Great service. Great team. We love our new and improved kitchen. 10/10 would recommend.

Jayson is the man. If you're thinking about a kitchen or bathroom remodel, don't hesitate to hit him up. He's extremely responsive, on-time, and willing to work with your budget. He gives you real advice and doesn't try to upsell you on anything you don't need. I appreciated the turnaround time for my kitchen project. It was all done within a week (whereas other contractors might take 2-3 weeks). I wouldn't hesitate to refer Jayson to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable and reasonable contractor!

I've been using my new kitchen for a few weeks now and Im ready to leave my review ;) I'm conflicted between 4 and 5 star, but I chose 5 because Jayson and his team is probably one of only a few home improvement companies that I would recommend and plan on using again for future projects. Jason and his wife Florence were very easy to consult and work with in planning and redoing my kitchen. Their prices were reasonable and they were very responsive, from start to finish. I was very impressed to see how organized they were in scheduling and planning everything. To be clear, the 5 stars does not mean my kitchen is perfect or they did a perfect job. We had a few hiccups during the process- some avoidable, some not- but I started this project knowing things WILL unexpectedly happen, and to be realistic about my expectations. The 5 stars is for the business ethics they upheld, their genuine motivation to do a great job, and my appreciation for a great kitchen remodel experience.

Love the new cabinets above the washer and dryer!
    Lisa H.

10 STARS!!! We needed a couple of cabinets above our washer and dryer and we are so glad we found Jayson and his team! I got a few estimates and they ranged from $1200-$4000 (for just 60" of cabinet)! Jayson's price was way more reasonable for the amount of work required. We communicated through messages and I received an invoice detailing the cost and was able to get the cabinets installed in just a few days. The installation took only 1.5 hours and they cleaned up so nicely after. Jayson and his team were professional, punctual, and efficient. Our home just went through a major renovation and we wished we had found them sooner...we would've saved a lot of time and money. We still have a few projects left at the house and we'll definitely be using Jayson again!

Jayson and his team are top-notch. I knew it when he came in and did his estimate. So professional. So passionate about his work. So precise. Makes recommendations and asks questions. Gives you options. No pressure. My project was backsplash and countertop, both demo and new installation, and he nailed it. Terrific craftsmanship and such attention to detail. Pricing was very fair; I did five estimates to determine this. He is a nice man and true professional; always quickly responded to any texts or calls I made of him. Highly recommended for your project.

I have never met anyone more patient than Jayson and Andy. I was probably their pickiest customer, but not once they complained. They were very professional, on time, fast, worked on Saturdays, Sundays, fixed, modified, adjusted ALL my requests and they were always very nice and polite. Even after the job was completed and I was not happy with some details, Andy came back and fixed it. They were super easy to work with, Jayson always replied to my texts, answered my questions, and gave me suggestions and recommendations. Thank you Jayson and Andy! I appreciate the great work and professionalism!

We did our first total kitchen remodel. Jason took his time and walked us through every detail. We were a pretty small project as our kitchen is small, but he never treated us like we were any less important then his big jobs. We ran into a few problems during the project (like any project things can go wrong) and he took care of them with no resistance or irritation. He's a family man and a trustworthy one too. I'd definitely refer him to a friend. Thanks Jason!

    Elisabet R.

We absolutely adore our new kitchen! Jayson and his team renovated our dark, outdated countertops and backsplash and turned them into a bright and modern beauty! His team was professional, kind and mindful of Covid protocols, but most importantly, they worked fast and didn't miss any small detail. We loved working with them to design the space and watch it come to life and we will definitely use them again for any future renovations!

I feel compelled to share our latest alarming experience with Anchorstrong. An employee, Joe Essy,…read morethreatened us via email, stating that he might file false reports against us unless we removed our honest Yelp reviews. He also suggested that he might leave negative reviews for a kind handyman we've worked with and file false reports against him, despite never having used his services. We also asked Joe to provide the permit he claimed to obtain for our project, as required by our contract. Several weeks have passed with no response, leading us to believe he never secured it. Rosie (Office Manager) and Steve (owner) were copied on our email, and we forwarded Joe's threatening email to them as well, but they have not responded. I also have serious concerns that Joe may have created multiple accounts to post fake reviews, including negative ones for others that reflect the threats he made in his email to us, as well as positive ones for his own business and employer. Yelp has removed several reviews based on these issues, and I have documented evidence to support my claims. Believe it or not, Joe has done more shady things, which we've documented. To keep this more concise, I'm highlighting just these examples but there are many more. In my opinion, Joe's behavior is not only beyond unprofessional but also seems unhinged to me. Who engages in such extreme, dishonest tactics against their customers simply because they left honest feedback? Providing feedback is our right as customers and a key purpose of Yelp. Multiple individuals who interacted with Joe raised serious concerns about his questionable honesty, erratic temperament, and disrespectful behavior. The emails I shared from Costco are just a few examples of this (see photos I posted in this review). Instead of simply addressing valid feedback, Joe resorts to intimidation tactics. His actions made me feel unsafe enough to install a security camera, especially since Joe said he lost the key to our front door. It's deeply disturbing that Joe has threatened to unfairly target us and this handyman--who has nothing to do with this situation and doesn't even know Joe--in what seems to be retaliation for our honest reviews. This handyman is genuinely kind, hardworking, and excellent at his job. He does not deserve this treatment at all. Since Joe mentioned he provides handyman services himself, Joe's threats also raise serious concerns about a conflict of interest. Based on our experience, it seems Joe is willing to go to very extreme lengths, including unethical tactics, to silence honest reviews, suggesting serious issues. His intimidating behavior has been completely unjustified and, in my opinion, it's shameful. Anchorstrong has failed to meet their contractual obligations, leaving us with substantial damages and financial losses, and refusing to refund us or work with us toward a fair resolution. After we paid them over $34K, we've faced intimidation, which we have proof of, instead of accountability. As paying customers, it's disheartening to experience such unethical treatment. If you work with them, be prepared for the same treatment. Also, ensure all permits are actually secured. I didn't want to write this update because this company isn't worth anyone's time, but their intimidation has led me to warn others and I hope it helps someone make a more informed decision. We've never encountered such appalling treatment from a vendor before. To Anchorstrong: We have every right to post honest reviews. Stop trying to intimidate us. While we've accepted that you won't provide the fair refund we are owed after taking our money, we simply want to be left alone--and for others to be left alone as well. The photos of Joe's shoddy work and the damages he caused speak for themselves. We face significant expenses to fix these issues, in addition to the $34K+ we already paid you and the other losses we incurred due to your failure to meet your contractual obligations. You have not reimbursed us, and we are left to cover these costs ourselves. Why threaten us? Haven't you done enough to us? We don't want to deal with you any further. Please leave us alone.

I say "with" because they both were absolutely with us every step of the way. The schedule and commitment they made with us was as equally important to them as it was to us. We had some hiccups. No project that I've ever been involved with goes without a hitch. And our house was built in 1963, and the kitchen was last updated in 1992. So there were a lot of challenges to be met and issues to be dealt with as the kitchen went down to the studs. But Elena is a master project and business manager. And Dmitry is actual an artisan, with a team of very skilled people at the ready to do the work and handle the problems. Even when we had issues with the vendors for the appliances, Elena stepped in and worked the white spaces, smoothing over the issues and getting everyone back on track. Dmity himself literally built custom solutions real time at the work site. We had several challenges because of the way the house was initially built, and he overcame them one by one with creative solutions that were not simply kluges but are now permanent fixes that passed ALL Final Inspections. Which brings me to another point: Dmitry did all the plans for submittal to the city, and Elena submitted all the plans and permit requests, interfaced with the city for all inspections, and gave us copies of all the final inspections and permit information for our files. We paid for those services, and I will tell you it was well worth it. It bears noting that we lived in the house the entire time the work was being done, except for the 12 days when we were on vacation out of the country. Pulsar kept working the whole time we were gone, safeguarding our home, and keeping us in the loop even though we were eight hours ahead. Pulsar was not our least expensive bid. But we made the decision early on that we would not cut corners on this job. We are very grateful to have found Dmity and Elena. They were easy to work with, had respect for our property and our schedule and our budget as much as possible, and never made us feel sorry about choosing to with them. I recommend you choose them, too!#

"Buyer beware before you consider Pulsar Construction in Torrance, CA"!…read more On July 15th, 2025, I submitted a request for kitchen/bathrooms renovation on Pulsar's website (including my zip code - see attached photo) on my Fusion at Southbay home. The same same day, received a response from Elena (office manager) stating "we are booked until September 21st and not accepting new project but we will put you on our waiting list". "Our team will contact you in case of any cancellations". After patiently waiting, 2-1/2 months, on September 29th, I received an update from Elena stating "Good morning Jeff!!! We are looking for a new project starting in November. Please leave us a note with the property address and your email. We will reach out to you after 10/10". So I did just that only to receive an immediate reply "Unfortunately, we are unable to help you because your zip code 90250 is outside our service area". This was very disturbing as we've been waiting 2-1/2 months and if this was known, we would have contacted another construction company. I responded to Elena "that is interesting, my home is 6.5 miles from Pulsar and clearly within your service area, per your website map". Elena replied "we can't consider your project since it is territorially located in Los Angeles". I explained to Elena, this is absolutely false as my Fusion at Southbay home with Hawthorne zip code 90250 is an "incorporated" city in LA county, the same as Manhattan, Redondo and Hermosa - in which my home literally borders MB/RB directly across Aviation Blvd. I then texted her all of the supporting screen shots (including map area of my home to Pulsar), Pulsar's website stating "We specialize in serving the SOUTH BAY of Los Angeles for 9 years". Elena, my home is in the "South Bay of Los Angeles. I requested to speak with the Owner only to be completely ignored by her going forward. In summary, my renovations would have been completed by now. I lost 3 months and have to start the entire process over again looking for another construction company. Again, potential customers - Beware of their misrepresentation and tactics!

We began our Culver City project with a plan to renovate our existing three-bedroom, one-bath home and convert our garage into an ADU. What started as a 325-square-foot garage ultimately became a beautifully designed 705-square-foot one-bedroom ADU. Throughout the process, EG's consistently exceeded our expectations. The quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding, but equally impressive was the team's communication and guidance. Their insights helped us make smart decisions that balanced our budget with our desire for thoughtful design and high-quality materials. As the project neared completion, our confidence in the partnership led us to take on an additional phase--adding flexible living space to the existing home. Technically a JADU, this unique addition transformed our front home into a four-bedroom, two-bath residence, while also creating the option to close off the rear portion and generate rental income in the future. None of this would have come together without the collaborative approach of Eric, the owner, and the entire EG's team.
