The open field is nice for activities like kite flying, but again, no barriers meant constant redirection. Also worth noting: the dog park is right next to the baby swings and restrooms, and parking is very limited and easy to miss. Overall, some nice features, but the lack of safety made it more stressful than enjoyable for us.

We love MBP because it offers a clean, safe, and fun open space for all kids- including those with disabilities. There is so much for your little one to do, see, and explore. The only annoyance is the lack of parking. This playground brings out a number of visitors for the play area as well as soccer practice/games that always seem to be going on. Come here with an open mind and a whole lot of patience. Bonus points for the water bottle filling station. With just a few areas of shade, you will absolutely benefit from bringing a bottle to quench/cool your little ones. There's a huge gazebo in the center to provide shade along with trees scattered. I've never been in their restrooms so no idea if they're clean or not. There's also grills and picnic tables for people to enjoy a lunch outdoors. They have a decent size parking lot and plenty of street parking as well.

There's a large sand area at both structures. Both structures are at least partially shaded. The smaller kid structure has more shade than the larger which is great since to me, keeping a younger child in shade is more important. There's also a basketball hoop and some grassy area bordering the play structure area. And there's picnic tables. It's not a huge park but it is lovely, and my 3 year old didn't want to leave. With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. This is lots of fun for kids of all ages.

Since we were in need of finding a little bit of entertainment for our 6 year old prior to dinner, this spot couldn't have been more perfect. The area is extremely spacious, even offering a track where a lot of people were seen taking a stroll. The play structure is clean and obviously well taken care of. There is plenty of sunshine with just the right amount of shade scattered throughout the space. With some further exploring I noticed a few grills, benches, and beautifully made ping pong tables. There were kids of all ages who came to enjoy during out 45 minute visit and everyone was so very friendly. My daughter quickly made friends with 3 other kids and it was tough tearing her away from the park when that time came. 5/5 stars. I'd happily come back and visit again.
