There has been no clear schedule as to who would come on what day to service my home address. I get random calls with voice message one day before the service was conducted ---- real short notice. After one visit then nobody comes in next two weeks. Then suddenly someone comes by once per week for two consecutive weeks, followed by no visit in the next 3 months. 3 month later I got another visit, and a few days later I was told this was a regular visit, not a follow up and I owe them $75. For the entire time I wasn't sure who was supposed to do what and when, I just see different person coming to my house at whenever they feel like to, for 5 minutes tops. No schedule at all. I don't even know what I'm paying for now because they keep trying my credit card. read more

Having HomeShield so far has been great! I've seen a decrease in critters, so far it has been safe for my puppy, and the prices have been reasonable. The customer service when I have called has also been good - they are friendly and responsive. Both times a technician has been out to the house they have called ahead of time, given me a chance to put the dog away and been quick in spraying. Once done spraying they let me know they're leaving so I can lock my back gate and remind me about dry time for the pup. read more

Just an update 1 month later - the manager reached out to me proactively to apologize and offer a free treatment to my house after seeing my review on the Yelp. They were on time and had an effective communication this time. I do appreciate it. Original review - They missed the appointment twice. The first appointment was scheduled on Wednesday. No one showed up and no one called. I called them the next day. They scheduled a second appointment with me on Saturday morning and told me that they were going to investigate what happened on Wednesday. On Saturday, no one showed up and no one called again! Saturday noon, I left them a message on Yelp and let them know that I was very unhappy that they missed appointments twice since every time we had to stayed at home and waited them for half a day. Now one week was past. No one replied my message on Yelp. Very very bad experience. Very very bad customer service! Please don't waste your time. read more

When first calling to find out about the rodents service, I was told that they would spray some chemicals to dehydrate the rats so they would go elsewhere & die. Over a month has passed, now I hear even more rats in my attic every night. All they are doing is put down a few traps & come back in about a month or so to check on the traps. I called back to tell them about the issue with hearing more activities in the attic. The rep told me that if I don't go with the extra services they offer then the rodents issue will not go away. Those extra services would add up to thousand of dollars on top of the $1K contract/year that I already paid. Wish all of this info was communicated to me before I signed the contract. read more

When we came across an issue where tiles could potentially be damaged from the drilling required to get the product through the slab, he figured out a solution. It required him to spend additional time to make a couple of phone calls and drive to get the necessary part but the area was treated and most important - no cracked tiles. Torrance is known for being one big ant colony and when we first called HomeShield I was at my wits end! For years the ants were driving us out of house and home. I had tried many solutions including coffee grounds, windex, ant traps, etc. but nothing kept them away. I could not put pet food out or any food on my kitchen counters which made fixing meals a nightmare. Saul located the source of the invasion, took care of the ants, and we are happy campers. He took care of the webs everywhere I requested and sprayed for ants. Aside from the service, I had a weird situation happen (not his fault) where my car rear window was broken into and didn't notice until I was talking to him.
