I can't express how grateful I am! I'm allergic to bees!! I called, Ray picked up the phone, and got to my house within 15-20 minutes. He sprayed, covered the vents! My landlord was trying to get someone to come out on Monday, and I couldn't wait because of how many bees came into the house, through the vent, and from the outside. Ray is the most kind and honest person I've ever met. My neighbor and I had a bug infestation in our backyard. He was able to come assess the situation same day. He gave us a very fair price. During inspection, he did not see any nests and noticed the bugs were coming from elsewhere. He said that he suspected the bugs coming from another neighbor's yard. He also pointed us to the right direction and mentioned some overgrown weeds in another's yard that could be harboring the bugs. He said that he did not feel right spraying down our homes and taking our money without getting to the root problem. Because he wasn't able to find the nest in our yard, he told us to look into our neighbor's yards after getting permission and we can call him back. He also took some pictures and videos and sent them to an entomologist (bug specialist) who accurately identified the insect. From his advice, we looked at the neighbor's yard, the one full of weed, and it had 2 nests. Luckily, our neighbor took care of the problem on their own by spraying the nests and getting rid of the weeds. The bug infestation in our yards disappeared a few days after that. We are so grateful to Ray! He really went out of his way to help us. read more

You'll pay over market for average/below average quality. Please allow me to elaborate and I apologize if this review is a little long, I wanted to be thorough. Initially Ray was great. Answered immediately, answered all my questions, and even fit me in his schedule within the week. The price did seem about $50 more than any other companies for a simple one time ant spray, but the reviews posted here made it seem like it was well worth the extra cost. Date of service, Ray was great. He sprayed, took a look at our garage about a rodent situation - gave us true and solid advice, and also took out a wasp nest for us at no additional charge. Fast forward 3 weeks, the ants start slowly coming back. I reach out to Ray on the 31st day after service informing him that the ants have come back. I get two responses: (1) It's either my neighbor's fault or the green belt we live on and (2) there's a 30 day guarantee policy, and I'm reaching out on day 31. So essentially I'm SOL. Ray was of course very happy to sell me his quarterly service and then he would come out and support, but that was not what I was looking for. In addition, what's the point of getting quarterly service of bad service/product? Ultimately, their policy is what their policy is & that's fine. Just be cautious before hiring One Source Pest Service, because clearly they don't take ownership of their work, do not stand behind their work AND they will charge you a higher market rate at the same time. In the mean time, I'll just continue to clean up the ants 3x a day that are now continually coming into the house that the service was supposed to mitigate. read more

We called One Source regarding an ant infestation in our home. Ants were coming out of multiple walls both upstairs and downstairs. I spoke with Ray over the phone, he listened attentively and then recommended a single service with no contract. We scheduled an appointment that required our family to be out of the home for 2-3 hours. When Ray arrived he did a walk-through of the property and was able to locate a significant ant nest. He sprayed accordingly in the house and around the property, he also laid poisonous bait for the ants to take back to their nest. Surprisingly, I was able to visually see hundreds of ants feed on the bait and return to their nesting area. We are now over one month from the original service date and are very happy to say that no ants have come back in to the home. Highly recommend. read more

Want to know the worst four letter word I can think of? Rats. Mice comes in at a close second place. As if my visit to my 87-year old Mom's house were a giant metaphor for her past 4 months, mere hours after my arrival one of her new round-the-clock caregivers drops this atom bomb: "Oh, and I think there's a rat or mouse in here. I saw something when I was sitting in the living room..." My first instinct was to cut bait and run. Did I really delete that Hoteltonight app? But the dutiful daughter in me knew that Mom is just as terrified of rodents and if this "situation" wasn't addressed immediately there'd be nobody willing to stay in the house. This is where both nextdoor.com and yelp come into play. I first searched on nextdoor to see if anyone had posted a similar problem and if so, to see who the locals were recommending. After gathering that data I consulted Yelp to further validate the recommendations. I'm so glad I called on One Source. First there's this: Ray, the owner, answers the phone himself on my first call. He arranges to come over within the hour. He tells me what he can provide, what part those in the home need to play, and how much this will cost us ($250). Then there's this: Ray comes over. He looks at the droppings. Rats. 1- 3 of them he says. He will lay hidden traps (Mom cannot know of this problem. In fact, I tell her Ray is here for "spiders and bugs"). I'm practically vomiting as Ray places 2 traps in the room I sleep in. And two days later this: I text Ray, "I've checked three traps so far today. We caught something. I can't check any more. Please come". Ray is there within 30 minutes. Giant rat is now a giant dead rat. Ray places new traps. I leave on a plane that evening and the job of daily trap checking falls to the caregivers. Nothing more has been caught. The rogue rat problem appears solved. Ray scouted the house both inside and out and came to a likely answer for how the rat gained entrance. While there, I also bartered with him to deal with a spider/cricket problem (hope you're enjoying those vintage fishing poles, Ray). He doesn't do termites but can give you a referral. Could I have set my own rat traps? Sure but holy f*ck I am not doing that. For the price, Ray will come anytime in the next 30 days to deal with anything caught and to reset traps. He'll also come once each week during that time to check the traps himself. And he'll do it on the downlow so Mom won't know what he's actually there for. After Ray's first visit Mom - who's not doing so well - had only this question "so he's going to paint some rooms for us?". If he painted I'd probably hire him for that as well. Do you know how hard it is to find responsive service providers? Ray/One Source made me believe it was easy. It is not. read more

So for the record I'm really happy with this company. Just yesterday my friend asked me if I knew anyone that handles pest control stuff and I was actually happy to give out the contact information. So what makes my guy the best, why is he so good? To tell you the truth I'm not sure. All he really does is shows up on time and does his job. That's all he does and that's all I want. I don't want the e-mails, the price increases and the sales pitches that I use to get with the big companies. I love that my next door neighbor pays 40% more than me and her guy is in and out in like 10 minutes. My guy is great, attention to detail, works with and around the kids trampoline, the dog beds and house. When he is in our house, the garage and back yard he has what I call care, custody, and control. The end results are simple, we are bug and pest free and most of all we are happy customers.
