When I first left the Military (Stationed at FT.Carson) I was lost...a friend suggested I come see her in Durango...she thought it may be the calming influence I needed...I took her advice and moved to Durango...We went to Homeslice North one afternoon and Johnny rotten was working...never met the cat before and had obviously never been there before ...but I sensed he had a path in life that he had not quite fulfilled...and as the visits to HN grew I found that pretty much all of the employees there were on some form of a mission ...even if is to pay for their trips to Purgatory or Telluride...point being...it was infectious...just a bunch of moving parts all searching for their happiness...eventually I met the Owner and his Brother and I found out where that spirit came from...YOU SEE...these Guys focus on their employees happiness as it makes for a great vibe in the Pizzaria...and often facilitate their adventures...and I truly believe this environment has led to why the Pizza is so delicious...and the beer tastes fresher and colder...this environment lends itself to HAPPINESS...and I would HIGHLY recommend a visit...tell em' Tony sent ya'...they may get a kick out of it!! read more

Great pizza. We found this place from hotel manager. We wanted to stay there and eat but we had to take it back to hotel. Great crust and lots of toppings. The garlic rolls were awesome, only $2.20. It is a local pizza/bar place so if you want quiet, go somewhere else. We like to experience local food where we stay. I usually I enjoy homeslice, but the north homeslice was TERRIBLE TODAY! The girl who was working the window this afternoon obviously didn't know what the hell she was doing. I asked for a to go pepperoni slice and 2 garlic nots with ranch. When she calls my name she hands me a paper plate with foil and the ranch on top and since she handed it through the window the ranch fell and EXPLODED ALL OVER ME, I just took a shower and put clean clothes on before I got there and I have a cold not feeling good. And all she did to help was offer a wet rag. For one instead of bringing it out to me she handed it through the truck window. And for 2 she should have given me a box? Like why would I put a paper plate with foil with the tip of my pizza sticking out on my car seat, and I had my dog with me. Every time I get a to go I ALWAYS get a box? I grabbed a box after the ranch fell on me, I was very upset when I left, I about cried. And when I got home I opened the foil on the plate and I came to see that there was no garlic on my GARLIC NOTS! I was really REALLY not happy with her service and I wanted to really express how I felt because it really ruined my day and made me not want to go to that homeslice again.. wish I would have taken a picture to really show how bad it was. read more

The pizza was pretty good, but the table was so filthy that I almost walked out. I asked the waitress to clean the very dirty, sticky table, and she merely scooped off the crumbs. Those tables needed a deep cleaning with hot soapy water and a scrub brush. YUK! read more

Great variety of toppings for.single slices. Loved the ricotta and rosemary. Nice crust. Also liked the goat cheese and apple salad. My boyfriend enjoyed the ham and pineapple slices, and the pepperoni calzone was a winner too. Took it to go since the dining area was rather noisy and not particularly comfy. read more

Let me start off by stating I had never been to Colorado, I was so excited to finally get to go snowboarding and see such gorgeous site seeing. We got to the hotel Travelodge  (which is actually really decent for $42.00 a night, they will be getting 2 thumbs up review) and we were pretty hungry after our 8 hour drive. There was a quaint little pizza place called Home Slice across the street, which was literally a 3 min walk.  We called in ahead and ordered a mainly veggie pizza, eggplant, gouda cheese, bacon, and a house salad. Headed straight back to the hotel room to grub and relax before our big day on sunday. Regrettably around 1am both of us had began throwing up amoug other things (I'm sure you can figure it out) so about every 5 min my body tryed  with all its might to expell this food from my body for the next 4 days. I was unable to move from the hotel room what so ever on sunday, I was in bed, with a fever, exhausted but incapable of sleeping. Come Monday I was hoping I'd feel a little better to finally enjoy my trip however I was now worse than I was on sunday and could barely move, I had to go to the local urgent care  for a "gi coocktail" in my butt and had pay an extra $50 for the shot.  We were suppose to go home however we still weren't able to leave the hotel room, we had to spend another  $42 for one more night in hopes that I would be well enough to walk around the city. I actually felt decent when I woke up, so rather than going on yelp and social media to vent about my terrible experience I tryed calling the restaurant to advise them of my experience.  Now I never expected them to reimburse me, for the pizza, or urgent care or the extra hotel stay however I was hoping for a tad of empathy for my plight. I called and asked for management and was advised there isn't one (not surprised) I preceded to tell the worker what had happened, after I had explained my sarrow I was met with silence and he had added the cherry on top "sooo, what do you expect us to do about it"... wow the adacity.  I left my number and name for management to call if they have any questions. Hard to believe i know but they never called. I lasted about 3 hours walking down town before I had another vomit fit for the ENTIRE trip back to phoenix, 8 hours uncontrollably.  It is now thursday 5 days after I ate at Homeslice, and I have yet to eat anything solid. This has ended up costing me hundreds in lost work and added expenses due to extreme lack of obviously sanitary contitions. Some of the locals even commented that they are by no means suprised that i got sick and even named Homeslice in their guess. Apparently they prepare all the food at one location and ship it the other and follow very poor preparation guidelines. Do you're self and your friends and family a huge favor and avoid the establishment with your life and theirs! read more
