The decor is warm minimalism, the vibe is neighborly and the staff cordial and accommodating. Signature sandwiches are my personal favorites, but there's also a variety of Small Plates, Salads and Boards. The sandwiches are huge - like the ones found in the best of New York's delis. One special, the Sweet Heat Seoulwich, was truly special. (Be sure to check the specials which change often.) The Toasted Hoagie Roll is piled high with Korean BBQ Glazed Pineapple, Mortadella, Mozzarella, Pickled Fresno Peppers, Gochujang Aioli (spicy Korean-inspired mayonnaise), Lettuce and Tomato. (Bet you can't eat all of it in one sitting.) The traditional Turkey Club is another monster that includes Hickory Smoked Turkey, Pesto Aioli, Spanish Jamon (ham), Lettuce, Tomato, and Vermont Cheddar on Sourdough Bread - a gourmet delight. Add a pint of Salty Turtle Kölsh Style Ale and you have a delicious, filing and refreshing meal. On the lighter side we recommend the Small Salad & 1/2 Sandwich. We paired a Caesars Salad and Mortadella (traditional sliced Italian Pork Sausage, Calabrian Chili Aioli, Gruyere Cheese, Balsamic Caramelized Onions and spicy Arugula on a toasted Hoagie Bun) - really good. The Whipped Ricotta Plate is another winner. The velvety Ricotta is topped with a rich Fig Jam, crispy Prosciutto, Yuzu Oil (refined citrus peal oil), Citrus Zest and Chives. The bathroom was disgusting which was shocking since there was not anyone there and they hadn't been open long. Maybe cleaning the bathroom is one of the opening shift duties?

Illegal ADA Pricing Surcharge & Discriminatory Seating Policy…read more I am writing this review to warn any patrons with physical disabilities or mobility issues before booking an event at Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard in Raleigh. Their ticketing practices and failure to make required accommodations violate federal ADA regulations. I have a severe back disability that makes it impossible to stand for long periods. I tried to do the right thing by reaching out weeks in advance to secure an accommodation for a show on 8/7. The venue systematically ignored me across every single communication channel, leaving me stranded until the final 24 hours: * July 25: Sent an initial Facebook message notifying them of my back disability and asking if I could bring a supportive chair due to their "No lawn chairs" policy. Ignored. * August 1: Sent a follow-up Facebook message requesting a response. Ignored. * August 5: Called their phone line, hit an automated recording telling me to text or email. Texted immediately. Got no reply, so I emailed them through their website contact form. Both ignored. * August 6 (Less than 24 hours before the show): They finally replied on Facebook, stating they "have tables for sale" and that they "save a table to accommodate medically handicapped folks." Essentially, they tried to sell me an expensive table package just to get basic medical seating. The Violation: When checking the ticketing link they referenced for those tables, they tried to sell me a 6-top table package costing $215.00, even though standard General Admission tickets were only $30.00 (there were only 2 of us). Under federal law (28 CFR 36.308), venues are strictly prohibited from charging a financial premium or surcharge for accessible seating. Conditioning access to a seat on a $185 markup is direct price discrimination, regardless of whether the seat has a back or not. Furthermore, the tables they attempted to sell me are backless picnic benches, which provide zero physical lumbar or spinal support. Under the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design Section 903.4, any compliant, accessible bench must provide a backrest. Forcing a patron with a spinal disability to use a backless bench is a completely non-compliant physical accommodation. When I politely pointed out both the illegal price discrimination and the non-compliant, backless seating on August 6, they went completely silent and never responded. I ultimately did not buy tickets because of their absolute failure to make the reasonable accommodations required by the ADA. They would rather try to upsell a disabled patron or exclude them entirely than follow federal guidelines. If you have a disability, avoid this venue until management updates their discriminatory policies.
