I have used Home Team for over 10 years. Outstanding service. I discovered a basket ball size hornet's nest by my pond in a very old Japanese Maple Tree, and called them immediately. Jeff came out to take care of it. He couldn't use chemicals because it was by a pond, and didn't want to damage the tree. Jeff batted the nest out of the tree so it would be far away from the pond to legally treat, and "dispatched" it. I was particularly appreciative of Jeff's concern for environmental issues. He meticulously followed the rules, and actually put himself at personal risk of being stung. These folks are great! Not the first time I have called them for some problem, but perhaps the most "interesting" problem. I give them my full five star endorsement! read more

STAY AWAY....This company has no sense of customer service and unwilling to make what their service team called a "clerical error" correct for the sake of a long time customer. Its rare where a professional company agrees that its an error on their end related to "clerical error and an employee that no longer works for the company" correct. On top of it all, the error is only in the amount of $104.00, small issue. So from my standpoint, I would recommend you think twice before selecting this company. Recently, they have changed their technician's geographic locations. We have had Gary Snowden for a few years and we will miss him. He has been attentive and helpfull with our pest issues. This review is just for service only. First, scheduling with HomeTeam was fast and easy. We had on sales rep who took our calls over the weekend to ensure she can schedule something for us once they were open to schedule. She was very pleasant to work with. Unfortunately I do not know her name as my husband was working with her. Next is the technician, his name was Dindo. Super friendly and pleasant. He made you feel very comfortable. It is not the most comfortable to have someone come in to your house, but Dindo had a great personality to make you feel at ease. In addition, he explained very well what the pest outside infesting our home was. He also provided step by step explanations on what he was going to do to help get rid of these insects. I would highly recommend Dindo and would like to use him as a technician again. read more

Do not use this company unless you want to overpay for basic spider control!!! We've used this company since we built our home 7 years ago for any and all pests. The ONLY pest activity ever noted in their reports was for spiders. Since we're currently selling the home, we had the termite inspection and guess what? Termites on the front porch! They said that since they haven't been to the home for three months, it's basically our problem. Avoid this company like the plague! read more

I started using this company in 2010. Everything was going great until I fell behind on a payment in 2015. I caught up and after a few months, I noticed they were not anxiously calling me to schedule my next service anymore. I called to try and schedule a service because I want my home pest free and I was told that my account was cancelled. I expressed my discontent for not being contacted or advised of this but the person I spoke with only gave me the option of starting over as a new customer which I refuse to do (annual contracts, etc.). I met Gary Snowden while he was servicing some residents in Cameron Station, Alexandria, VA. I approached him about how to get rid of mice. He was so informative, polite, kind and took a good 10/15 minutes out of his day knowing that I wasn't even a customer. He offered his card just in case I needed anything or gave up on my independent quest to rid our home of mice. I told my husband right away and he said, "Sign us up!" Their pricing is so affordable, less expensive than all the mice traps I have purchased, and they cover insects and rodents. I am so relieved I don't have to check mice traps every morning anymore. It seems like their products do a reasonable job of keeping bugs away. Still have some minor issues with spiders. My experience today was not good at all, however. The tech who came to my home left my backyard gate wide open after completing the spraying. I let my dogs out and they immediately ran out the open gate. I had to chase my dog along a busy road because of the tech's negligence. I don't know if I will be renewing my contract with them. Mistakes happen, but this seems like a pretty obvious thing to double check. read more

It is a love hate relationship. The product does work, but customer service is seriously lacking. Paid 2 months in advance for service, but never got 2nd service which would have been in July. Called the office in October to find out when next payment would come out, to include if they even came out in July for servicing. I was curious because I did not get a receipt. Come to find out, the Tech quit and my home was nerves serviced in July. I was not given a text, a call, an email, or even Snapchatted that I was not getting serviced. When talking to office of course rep was a little snotty. Last time I checked it was a contract I signed saying that they will come out every 3 months to provide me seevice. Anyways, I sent an email to Gary Kirkowski whom is the General Manager. I Still have yet to get a response from him after I sent him an email. Again great product, poor customer service. read more

We've been with HomeTeam since around 2004 (before they were called HomeTeam). We originally called them in for an ant problem in our (at the time) brand new house. Since that first visit 13 years ago, we haven't seen a single ant in the house (knock on wood). We've had them come out from time to time in addition to the quarterly treatments to deal with bees (outside) and spider crickets (in the basement). Each time, same deal: problem solved. And they are great on the phone and in person (Bennie is The Man!). Altogether, a great service provider, from whom we look forward to getting many more years of service. read more

My google review from over a year ago: DO NOT USE this company for any services they provide. They can't keep their own account numbers straight for separate services let alone consistency on the services they are to provide. They are habitual liars when you call the office. If you ask to speak to a manager or supervisor the receptionist puts you on hold, then says they're both in a meeting This is a constant answer every time you call and ask. We had a SENTRICON termite system ($699) installed in March of 2016 with 28 baiting stations. There is an annual fee of $300 for them to check the stations twice a year. Our second year 2017 (SEPT) check up was a joke. A new Service technician (previous one Isiah quit) shows up and tells us the machine to find the baiting stations is broke and he is waiting for a part. He had to use a shovel and dig to try to find them We kindly helped him locate all but 6. He told us he would call when the machine part was in and come back to check the rest. We waited a little over a month and called the office. We spoke to Marissa who told us she would check with Ruben and call us back. She never did. Poor business practice and highly unethical that we've had to call twice on a service we've paid in advance for. The next morning we called her only to find out that the technician said the part is still not in. I find this hard to believe. She tried to tell me that she did call back when indeed she did not. I asked my husband and he said NO, he had to call her. Another LIE!!! Now I sit waiting for KEN, JULIE or DEBORAH (?) to call me back after their so called meeting. I got an invoice in November and another in December stating I owed money for services rendered in October. I stated no one had ever come out and to cancel my service. I then called again and spoke to a manager who set up a date of Thursday, February 7 between the hours of 8-10 am for the bait stations to be removed. We were home all day and no one showed up and of course no phone call. It is Friday 2/8/19 and still on show or phone call. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more
