Not only did he set glue traps and several locations around the house, because he didn't disclose the use, he didn't disclose where the traps were set, so we have had to hunt around the house ourselves to remove them. We personally don't like using glue traps as they are inhumane and stated our preference for spring traps instead. Furthermore, today I found a centipede and one of the areas where he said at he sprayed, which as of this writing is less than 2 weeks after the service.

The technician did a thorough job. I didn't have to call the company a second time during the 45 days warranty period. Will hire again if I need to resolve a pest issue.

I also wanted to remove the corbels sticking out of the fireplace. Cory came over and cleaned the chimney. He took photos and explained the previous company (who charged twice as much as Cory) left half of a 5 gallon bucket of debris inside the chimney and on the ledge. And they didn't secure a nail or screw. Cory took care of everything! The pics showed his great work! Then the corbels. He brought multiple bricks with him and fit the best ones. He explained that the mortar wouldn't match exactly but hopefully he could get it close. He definitely undersold himself. It looks amazing! If I point it out, you can see it. But it blends perfectly!

I had reached out to Jorge when my car failed the Virginia safety inspection due to a faulty…read moreABS/VSA module. Most shops recommended replacing the module at a whopping $3,000. I decided to do the sane thing and look at repair options instead. I had found Circuit Board Medics in South Carolina (these guys are the real deal btw) who would go on to do my repair for a 10th of the replacement price, but almost all of the shops around me were unwilling to remove the module for me to ship it out and then reinstall it once it was shipped back to me. Except Jorge. He gave me a reasonable price and service dates which was a little too close to the reinspection deadline but I had hoped it would be done by then. The first appointment, Tuesday, August 11, went really smoothly, Jorge came to my location and took off the module for me to ship out to the module techs down in SC on express delivery. Unfortunately there was only one day between me shipping it out and Jorge's Thursday appointment to reinstall the part. The techs in SC had a same-day turnaround but they ended up shipping it back out to me on the day of the appointment for it to arrive on Friday. Things had been going superbly up to that point. Because Thursday was the last day of the 15-day grace period, I was anxious to get it done as soon as possible because the fact that the period ended created new complications. Unfortunately, Jorge informed me that he would not be available until the following Monday. I understood his booking situation so I let him know that I might look for someone else to complete the job sooner because of the deadline that passed. He then offered to try to come on Saturday to which I offered to pay extra for him to try to come out on Friday, to which he agreed. Friday comes and I had asked him to let me know if he's likely to come out that day. He tells me that he couldn't make it that day at 7:30PM which was odd but things happen so I hoped he'd be able to come out on Saturday. Saturday comes, he texts later in the afternoon that he's busy and would come on Monday at 12PM. I didn't want to try to get a Sunday appointment at that point so I let it be. Monday comes and he's not here. A little while later he lets me know he's on his way, arrives at 1:30PM, gets the job done, and then we parted ways. Obviously, this was not the kind of service I expected to receive. I felt mistreated because of the following reasons: 1. I could have had someone else come and finish the job by Friday or Saturday. I completely would have understood if Jorge was unable to come but he sold me false hope and I believed it because, 2. I didn't want to rent a vehicle until he could come out but I could have! I thought it would be unnecessary since he'd definitely come today, tomorrow, the next day, when Christ comes back, etc. 3. I have lost earnings for nothing when I could have rented a car out and recouped some of the expenses that I had incurred and will incur because, 4. The car still failed inspection for another reason I didn't think would fail it and had I been working this past weekend, I would have been in a better position to get that new issue fixed. 5. I can't legally drive on public roads because the grace period has passed. Though it was the module techs who delayed the module, I had asked Jorge if he would be able to take off the module one day earlier so we could avoid a situation like this. He said he would try but he never confirmed it. The first appointment took literally 20 minutes and I would have paid extra for him to come the day before at an off hour or something so the inspection window would have less risk of closing. Though fixing this ultimately didn't stop the car from failing inspection again, at least I would have had more time to prepare for the next repair BEFORE the window closes. 6. After all of this grief, he was still late by an hour and 30 minutes on Monday without a single word of acknowledgement of the fact! I am so angry and disappointed in the way this all turned out. What had started off as an exceptional service has ended up costing me what I never expected it to, simply because an edge case scenario could not be handled properly and professionally. I hope Jorge can clarify any wrongdoing on my side and maybe rectify his end. I still reluctantly encourage anyone to give him a chance based on the other reviews written about this business and the factoring of "things happen"-ing, but he has lost my confidence. This is technically a one-star review but I didn't want to be any more blunt.

While driving to work this evening through Haymarket Virginia, I noticed two vehicles with hazard lights flashing in the left lane of Rt 15. The second vehicle was a S.P.R.K. Pest Solutions truck. I first thought the vehicles were involved in a crash, but it turned out the first vehicle was suffering a mechanical crisis. The S.P.R.K. Pest Solutions truck had kindly stopped to 'block' traffic (to protect the other vehicle) and to offer assistance to the other driver. The very professional looking and helpful S.P.R.K. Pest Solutions driver then left the scene and rejoined the traffic heading north on Rt15. A driver in front of the S.P.R.K. vehicle was traveling 10-15 miles below the speed limit, but the S.P.R.K. truck driver maintained a safe following distance and never attempted to pass the slow moving vehicle (as is typical and dangerous on this stretch of roadway). I called the phone number on the truck (571 778 2885) to thank the driver, Jeff, for his good deed and his safe driving skills. Jeff was very warm, polite, and appreciative of my recognition. While I thankfully don't have any immediate needs for Pest Control services, I will certainly utilize S.P.R.K. Pest Solutions if the need arises. He arrived precisely when the front office said he would, quickly assessed the issue, and promptly effected the solution. He was exceptionally friendly and professional. What a remarkable exception to have a northern Virginia contractor interested in actually solving the client's problem rather than just a quick fix to collect a fee. I wanted to thank S.P.R.K. Pest Solutions for their great service. Mike Saller my technician came out and inspected a problem area for me around a bay window in my rental home. He identified the issue was carpenter ants and not termites. Mike educated me on how these type ants need to be further investigated in the woodwork and eradicated. This helped me so much! This information will allow me to advise the townhouse owner about the specific problem. I also used S.P.R.K. at my previous home which I owned and they were outstanding. Always on-time, professional and friendly. Always listened and answered ANY question I might have concerning issues inside and outside the home. Hugo has been on my property doing service several times. He is polite and informed me of his service every time. I'm thankful for his work. SPRK is the only pest control contractor that was able to take care of wild animal and pest problems on my property. I used to have raccoon and ground hog problems in my yard. The animals dug tunnels and ravaged trash bins and I hired several companies to get rid of them but they all failed until SPRK came to rescues. I've since switched pest control service to them and mice has not visited my attic any more. I highly recommend this contractor to do pest control. read more

I had them out for a second opinion on a supposed termite issue. The technician was very kind and knowledgeable and after a thorough investigation of our crawl space, told me there was no evidence of termites, where the first company told me there was evidence of tubing and signs of rodents. The S.P.R.K technician said our crawl space was very clean and could find no signs of termites or rodents. I recommend them without hesitation- they will give you an honest assessment. read more
