The most recent is one where the salon overcharged a client, and refused to refund the error, instead wanting to offer a credit for future use with the client's hair stylist. The client's hair stylist left for another salon and Monroe Salon refused to honor their commitment. Instead they offered a 50% refund of the amount THEY overcharged! Unbelievable! I'm removing them from our recommended list, and hope they reevaluate their shady business practices.

The application style was extremely chunky, uneven, and even worse had "leopard spots" in several areas. The top looked like tiger stripes. When I went to another salon to have it fixed, they said there were areas that were left on too long and others not enough. As you look at the deeper layers of my hair, you can see the bleach was applied in random diagonal lines. Definitely not the quality you expect from any stylist let alone an experienced one. The other salon was able to fix the high stripes but because of the random application of the bleach they had to return it all pretty much to brown and start over. I have to wait 6-8 weeks for my hair to heal before the other salon can give me a new blond balayage. I am getting engaged in a few weeks, which is why I wanted my hair done in the first place, and now I will not have my hair done for day of my engagement. Although she gave me a PARTIAL refund, it did not cover the repair costs and definitely is not going to cover the second good salon visit for a proper balayage. Even if she did give it all back, the additional repairs are going to cost me over $150 more than what I would have paid if it was done right the first time. Again super nice women, but I would NOT recommend her for any hair treatment.
