The first time we went here was last year. The second was this time. We were in the area for scalloping season and had to come back. This place is intimate and classy. The bartenders serve delicious cocktails while the owner walks around making you feel like he has known you for years. This was a pretty cool place. We did a tasting for $15 got to try 6 different items including moonshine, whiskey, vodka, gin and rum. Andre made the experience memorable. It is veteran owned. This was an AWESOME little hidden gem! The ambiance is SO stinking cute! We spent the day on the Chazz River and decided to check out this local distillery! So glad we did... $15 for 6 tastings that come with a lil souvenir glass/shooter. Andres was SUPER helpful and engaging alot of fun to share this experience with! Five stars for this local distillery that is truly hidden, set back from US-19 in a part of Florida that most people never see. I stopped in to Homosassa Distillery on a lazy Sunday afternoon and had two drinks. That's all I could muster as I do have to keep driving today. My first, a bourbon old fashioned, was perfection. Tasty and delicious and just a little bit strong with all the right ingredients. I sat at a table and was alone in the tasting room so I could watch it being prepared. With it, some Yelp reviewing and figuring out what was next. Drink number two, a classic Gin & Tonic made with gin that was distilled on site. It doesn't get any better than this, and I took it outside to sit on their covered "patio" to watch a few people coming and going. This is a fab spot and well worth a spot. This distillery is really cool. Wood work and decorations are great. Service is very friendly and bartender is excellent. The owner was so knowledgeable about products and his trade. The tour is a must. For $15 you can sample 6 different products. Rum, whiskey, moonshine, bourbon. There are about 8 moonshines. Four rums. They have music on weekends . This was a fun stop on our way back to Fort Meyer's. We were greeted when we walked in and asked if we wanted to do a tasting. I did the moonshine tasting that had 5 different flavored moonshines. Amazing cocktails, amazing people, amazing experience. Me and two friends were in the area for a vacation when we stumbled upon this, as we understand it, very new place. The owner came and said hello as soon as we walked in and made a point to make us (3 females) feel comfortable. We got a tour of the distillery and enjoyed the moonshine (the huckleberry was my favorite). Everything in the building was built and designed by the two owners who you can tell are really passionate about creating a great experience. When we were leaving, we grabbed somethings to go and ended up picking up some shirts (high praise) when I was picking out my shirt, I accidentally left my wallet there! We were flying out the next day. I called in a panic and they answered even after close figured out where I was a few miles away and brought the wallet to me! I couldn't believe it. I also opens my Facebook and saw they had messaged me looking to return it. These are very special people and this is a very special place. I can't wait till we can come back again! read more

We visited the Homosassa Distillery on August 2 with our two nephews. The staff was super friendly, informative, and entertaining. The owner, Mark, ended up handling the tasting tour and he was very informative. We could tell he has put his heart and soul into this Distillery. We then ventured into the bar area amd had various drink, which wers all great. Mark continued to talk to us about the birth of the Distillery. Before we left, he introduced us to his staff and then provided us with a tour of the still area. Great place to spend some time with friends and family. We loved it! If you haven't dropped in for a sampling and some drinks from the bar you are missing a highlight of Homosassa. You will be greeted by the owner, Mark, most of the time and if not you will get great service from all of the staff. The drinks are awesome but listen to the staff and they will direct you to the perfect one to fit your taste. Highly recommend the smoked Old Fashioned the do it with bourbon and Dark rum. My wife highly recommends the gin and we keep it in stock at home. The decor in the bar is awesome and there is always a fun crowd there. All their offerings are excellent. Went there last Sunday afternoon, what a fantastic place that brews and makes their own rum , whiskey, and moonshine. A tasting of their different products and a great deal, that is done by someone who understands the product and how to get the taste out of liquor, and can describe it. then they have a full bar with their own drink menu, custom designed by the owner and brew master himself. The prices are reasonable and their products are available to purchase right there at the distillery, along with t-shirts, caps, and other items.
