I will never go to a dealership again unless my car is still under warranty. I was accustomed to…read moretaking my car to the dreadful Carl Black Chevrolet for oil changes because it was close by, even if I HATED being subject to their honky hip-hop blaring over the PA and then five or ten annoying tvs on full blast. I was going to see them very recently and called about having them replace a corroded and of a battery cable, a relatively simple task. They had the unmitigated gall to quote me over $300!!!!! Yeah, no. I called Ace and spoke with Dan and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The cost to replace that corroded end of the cable? $32.00. $32.00 vs. $300. Not only was the cable replaced, I had the oil changed as well and was in and out of there in an hour for well under $100.00. An honest, fair mechanic is difficult to find but after doing a good bit of research and found several reviews both on Yelp and Google, I arrived at ACE and I will bring all my vehicles here from now on. Frankly, I would much rather give my hard earned money to a local business than the cousin of some crappy country singer and his shady dealership. PS: There is no place here to sit an wait on your car but the Orlando Public Library is across the street and Dunkin Donuts is just down East Colonial.

Less expensive than the dealer and better. They have taken care of me for the last 10 years and I have never once had anything but the best service. Once they even drove to my job to give me a set of keys I had left in my car when it was in for service.

Driver's Choice * is a god-send to any Porsche owners who cannot stomach the dealership prices or…read moreexperience (SO snobbish!). They are reliable, their prices are reasonable, and they are a pleasure to deal with. I was leaking coolant and really worried. It took them forever to work me in, but when they did, I got the car in two days. I had a water pump that needed replacing, and all sorts of things that go with that. Took me just into 4-figures, and now I can drive it again (well, actually, there's a slew of other things too...). Miki is very pleasant to deal with in this altogether no BS place - and her doggies are adorable. My only 'complaint' is that it took over a week to work me in! That means: A) They are busy, because customers are coming back, and referring others to them, and ...B) Porsches need a lot of TLC. That's "German engineering" for ya! * They can't quite decide whether they are "Drivers Choice", "Driver's Choice", or "Drivers' Choice", since their logo/listing all say the first, while in speaking of themselves they use the second; but not that I'm trying to be grammar teacher here, but it really needs to be the third. The possessive needs to be there, and surely it's more than one driver's choice!

I've been coming to this location exclusively for over 3 years for both of my vehicles. Prior to…read morethese recent oil changes I enjoyed taking my car here. I would get a drink or smoothie and they would change my oil and tell me about the condition of my car, I always felt like they did their due diligence. On this occasion I ask the tech if he could let some air out the front driver's side tire as it was a new one and was at 50 while the rest were at 30. He said he did, I told him the sensor still showed that tire filled more still. He again assured me when I drives little it would adjust. It didn't I had to stop and let out the additional air. They showed the engine filter, and oil level as usually and printed out the paper and explained the recommended services and we was out of there. Well a week later I heard this dragging sound when I got off work, arrived home and saw a piece of the bottom of my car dragging. I returned and was made aware that there were bolts missing from the skid plate and that is what was dragging. I did pulled out the invoice and to my surprise it was there. First- why was that not mentioned in the 10min talk about the recommended services. Well now I had to go back to have them secure it. They advised me to call customer service to have them file a claim. Customer service advised that I would get a response in two business days. That was Tuesday- I didn't hear anything so on Saturday I followed up and was advised the store manager had no idea I filed a claim. Now I'm still waiting on an update as to when I can come back to have them replace the skid plate.

During service, I was instructed to start my vehicle while a battery diagnostic device was still connected. My car stalled in the bay, required 4-5 jump attempts, and the first jump source was not strong enough, requiring a different battery jump starter. Shortly after, my battery failed and had to be replaced for over $200. When my mother and I attempted to resolve the issue, the area manager, Mike, raised his voice, spoke over us, and repeatedly dismissed our concerns. He stated that we were "uneducated" and told us we "needed to get our facts straight" if we were going to describe what happened. The interaction felt intimidating and gaslighting, as our firsthand experience was repeatedly denied. Video footage was shown selectively and narrated by management, with no opportunity for independent or neutral review. I was also incorrectly told the battery was purchased from Advance Auto Parts in 2022. I later found my receipt showing it was purchased from Firestone on 12/21/23, it was under two years old, and still under warranty, meaning we were sent to the wrong retailer based on inaccurate information. Mistakes can happen, but the service error, misinformation, and hostile management response were extremely disappointing. I recommend documenting everything carefully if you use this location
