I looked Honest A's up on Yelp for my girlfriend to move a short distance within Temecula. They had very favorable reviews and upon talking to Aaron, I got the verification I needed. They gave me a great quote and stuck to it without the hidden add-ons during the move itself. Other companies I called had add-ons upon add-ons. This was one simple quote in black and white. The (3) guys who helped with the move were so on it and focused on the job at hand as well as helped with a couple of smaller tasks willingly. We all worked together making this move very smooth and easy that my girlfriend will hire them again when she moves. Moving is a very stressful endeavor and having someone like Aaron's group take some of the edge off is what makes them awesome. We also had them do a quick clean-up of the apartment we moved from and Val was very on it and a pleasure to deal and talk with. On May 22 we moved with the help of Honest A's. The guys did an amazing job and moving our belongings, during the move our refrigerator toppled on top of one of the guys, but he got back up in full swing. The team was down a guy but still managed to get things moved within our timeframe.They unloaded the truck in a timely manner , put everything in the rooms they needed to be in, however the downside I discovered my bed was put together all wrong which my husband had to take apart to fix. Wow. A truly impressive operation! All of the glowing reviews about Honest A's that you read here and elsewhere, are well deserved. Aaron returned my call immediately and sent a team of 2 guys, that very day! I rented a 20 foot truck from U-Haul but chickened out when it came to driving that monster home. Aaron's Guys drove it for me, for a small additional fee. We had some very large office furniture downstairs, and a large bedroom set upstairs that I knew would be hellish to move. Those two guys (John and Chris) worked their butts off, in very hot weather, for five hours straight. They operated like a well-oiled machine. Extremely polite and and careful. I just can't say enough good things about them. My husband and I were astounded by their work ethic. We were so impressed with the job they did, we had them come back and move the stuff in storage to the new house. First thing the next morning, a new team of guys showed up and moved another entire 20 ft truckload for us. Once again, the movers (Ernie & Jose) were incredibly hard working, conscientious and polite. Where does Aaron find these guys? He's sure got a gift for hiring great employees. Moving day started out a little rough. The truck needed to be loaded by 2:00 pm and they didn't show until 10:00. But Aaron pulled it off. He got it done at 1:58. These guys Rock! I used them to move from Murrieta to Ventura. They were on time and efficiently loaded my stuff in record time and we had to move my belongings to two locations. My mom hired this company and they initially did a great job. As soon as we moved in and started organizing things 2 light hollagene lamps were taken apart for the move and when we tried to put them back together of course we did not know how to . My mom called the moving company to see if anyone can come back and try and fix the 2 light hollagene lamps . She wasn't complaining about anything else . We paid 1500 for the move . They deserve this star because of the poor customer service after they received their money. ( keep In mind these light hollagene were maybe 75.00 total) . Called again and was given some sob story as to why they couldn't make it and requested to reschedule. No thank you. This business doesn't deserve even a star. They didn't confirm with us, until the evening before and it was late in the evening. They stated that the next day after our conversation on Monday, they would call us back to confirm, that would have been Tuesday. The movers were on time, but it went downhill after that. It took them An hour and half to load. It took approximately an hour and a half to get to our home, this took place on Friday and we know the 15 Freeway going to Temecula is busy. One of the movers had an attitude and did not keep his mouth shut. He basically insulted me and I asked him to step out of my home. He insisted he was doing me a favor, because they were so busy. I moved from Murrieta to Beaumont. I didn't realize I had so much stuffs. We started at 2, finished the first load at 6pm. Got to the new place and finished unloading around 10pm. They were kind enough to go all the way back to finish loading the rest after already doing a big job in the morning. By the time we were done it was 1am. I waited several months to write this review, not wanting to over-react. The moving experience was horrible. The crew worked slowly and didn't seem to have a lead. The four young men were indeed young, probably 18. They didn't know what to do, how to organize or how to keep moving. Simply put they needed direction and a boss. This was an interesting move to say the least. At the beginning, Aaron was friendly and took all my info via the phone but when I called back to confirm the move a few days before, he seemed to not have all the details readily available. Not a big deal, I reiterated the info and the move was on. They were scheduled for 9am and as it was mid-week, I was told I'd have "his best team" on the job, as no other moves were scheduled that day. At approx. 9:20am, the phone rang and it was Aaron, telling me a mistake was made and they wouldn't be there until between 11-11:30am. This didn't go over well, as I had appliance deliveries scheduled late in the afternoon that would have to be rescheduled. Aaron was nice enough as first but when queried, kept giving less than logical answers. He said that "being late was typical of movers." I replied 'I've been moved all over the country and while they haven't all gone perfectly, they did, at least, show up on time." He replied, "What do you expect, we have 7-8 moves every day" and I replied, "Just the other day you told me this was your only move." Getting more angry at being caught in his own BS, he blew up and said, "I've never done this before, but I'm canceling your move and calling my guys back" and then hung up! Stunned, I just sat there, looking at all my stuff, what I had scheduled the next few days (including starting a new job!) and wondering what I was supposed to do. Finally, I decided to give him 10 minutes to calm down and then called him back, asking to start over and to please not strand me like this. He had calmed down enough by then and, thank God, the move was on again. So far, this review would have been a 1 star but the movers came and they were awesome. Typically, with the amount of stuff I have (3 bedroom house) it has always taken movers approx. 31/2 hours to load the truck. These guys busted their tails and were ready to head to my new place in 21/2 hours! This was impressive and they were really trying to make a bad situation better. One thing that pointed to a lack of communication/organization on Aaron's part (again) was that they didn't have the address I was moving to, even though I'd provided it to Aaron twice over the phone, while setting up and then confirming the move. In any event, they made the trip in good time (approx 90 minutes) and the unloading process began and again, they worked with purpose. Finally, when it was time to pay, I spoke with Aaron again, who was much more contrite by this point in time and, in fairness to him, he tried to make things right by providing me with a 2 hour discount. OK, fair enough and, with providing tips to the movers, I called the move done. If it hadn't of been for being late and then for the time sitting there wondering who was going to move me, it would have been a 5 star deal. Balancing the entire day, a 3 star review seems appropriate. Would I recommend them? Maybe, but with the caveat to not upset the owner, no matter what happens! Showed up 1.5 hours late. Worked for 2.5 hours then took over an hour lunch break. We had a 2,000 sq ft home with very little furniture to move. Only 1 bed to break down and put back together. A 4 hour job ended up taking over 8 hours to complete. Would not recommend. read more
