I'd be one of them. ;) Everyone is smiling from when you walk in, to when you walk out. Deb, at the checkout desk, has a wicked dry wit. Good laugh. She will talk your ear off if you let her. :) Many of the staff are long term employees. They obviously enjoy their jobs, and really make you feel comfortable. It's nice to have the continuity and get to know the people who are looking after you. Kids seem to feel secure there too. First started going about 11 years when we moved to the area. At the time the practice was just Dr. Haroian, sharing space in a commercial building. A few years ago he built the lovely new free standing practice almost next door, at 2 Ricker Road. (I've let the Yelp elves know the address has changed), and two other dentists joined him. Husband and wife team, Dr. Courtney, and Dr. Keith. I think Dr. Haroian is working his way towards retirement, so I generally see Dr. Courtney or Dr. Keith now, both of whom I like very much. I'm a bit more high maintenance (can't believe I just admitted to that!) when it comes to my teeth. Heavy duty clencher when sleeping/stressed. Have cracked multiple teeth over the years as a result. Even cracked a mouth guard. They regularly have to adjust my bite (how the teeth meet together when closed) since my teeth move around more than for most people. Pattie is my regular hygienist. Very thorough and gentle with the cleanings. And she does a mouth cancer screening at each visit. We both have a love of dogs, and I take full credit for introducing her to fostering dogs waiting to be adopted. ;) Her family was at a bit of a loss when their last dog passed away, but they weren't ready to commit to another dog yet. I suggested fostering and she ran with the idea. It's worked out very well for her family, and especially all the dogs they've helped find new furever families. Today she said she's fostered 25 dogs so far. She's lasted longer than I did! I talk about dogs with Kathy too, who assists both Drs. Dressler during procedures. The time flies when you're having a good chat with a drill in your mouth. :)

Exceptional quality and perfection has become the hallmark of this practice. At an age where my husband, who considered Dr. Don a friend for years, has passed, my children have grown and have families of their own, and my medical practitioners have all retired, it was clear that Dr. Don chose the Ultimate Best in Dr. Samantha King to replace him. The staff is kind, friendly, and efficient, so it remains a pleasant atmosphere and experience for everyone. I look forward to my dental appointments, and even through the pandemic, there was a certain relaxation knowing that a secure ventilation system was installed for the safety of staff and patients. I'm 22 years old, and I have been to 5 or 6 dentists in my life before coming to Dr. Gavelis for…read morethe first time today. I had a huge cavity pop up out of no where, and was able to schedule an appointment with him the same day. I went in, and was immediately put at ease by his and his staff's professionalism. Dr. Gavelis explained to me, what he was doing, stream of conscious style, and why, which put into perspective the factors which caused the cavities. Additionally, one thing I hate is having Novocaine injected into me, because more often than not dentists rush shoving the needle into you, or use to much (multiple shots). He was able to hit two teeth with Novocaine in one injection, and unlike other dentists, I wasnt numb for HOURS afterwards, clearly Dr. Gavelis' is well practiced and experienced. I usually dread going to the dentist, but I can honestly say that I could go to a dentist appointment with Dr. Gavelis and my anxiety level would be much less than with any other dentist. Additionally, according to my mother, he has the most modern equipment in the area. I was also impressed with the time and attention he dedicated to treating my dental issues. It took him about 1.5 times as long to do a filling as any other dentist I have had, but it was clear that he was much more patient, and careful then others. Its pretty clear that you get what you pay for as far as dentists on the north shore are concerned. Dr. Gavelis made sure that my cavity was completely free of decay before filling the cavity by using a dye to highlight miniscule amounts of decay. As a result, this filling will last much longer than other's because Dr. Gavelis made sure he removed of all the decay, which otherwise, even if a minsicule amount was left, would come back, erode my tooth, loosen the cavity and require it to be refilled, costing more.
