I called Honest Chimney because a bird kept getting into my chimney. After a brief call with the receptionist, Willy called me himself. He was leaving another job and told me he was headed straight to my house. Willy arrived at my door about 20 minutes later and couldn't be more courteous. He disappeared and returned to the door about 5 minutes later. He explained that the metal screen on the chimney cap was pulled down from age and weather and showed me a picture. He even told me he fixed the piece of siding that was hanging off the chimney! He told me that he resecured it but both chimney caps would need to be replaced eventually. I asked him for a price for that job and he gave me a ballpark but explained to me that replacement wasn't needed right away. I asked him how much I owed him and he refused to take any money. It doesn't feel right not paying for great, timely service but Willy said the job was too easy to take money. I'm happy to have found a great chimney guy! read more

Hired another company and fired them. Found Honest and called. They were booked but arranged to come to fix the damage done by the first company. Was an amazing experience and they fixed my chimney. We ordered a flue cap for our fireplace chimney,turns out it's special order due to its size. They came back again and fixed a potential leak they found. Installed the new cap. Surprise was it the cost was more then they quoted but Wiley held his price. While on the roof noticed a broken tile and found a hole. Fixed both at no charge to get us through the winter. Recommended a roofers to us to check our roof next year. No leaks at all during the rain that we have. We split the cost of the new flue cap for his helping us out. Highly recommend them! read more

Made an appointment for between 9 and 11, Willy and his crew were here on time at 10. I had many estimates but the only person who told me about a DOUBLE WALL LINER was Will (the owner of honest chimney) Others wanted to use a single wall liner. I did research after Willy told me this and I found out the 1 wall liner will rot and rust out even though it is stainless steel. A double wall liner will last 25+ years making this investment worth it ! Willy and his crew came back when I wanted and put in a liner for me at the agreed appointment price even though they wound up having to breach my chimney from the outside which took a lot of work. They are very neat and left me less of a mess then when they started.. Would recommend to anyone and everyone ! read more

Let me start by saying I don't write reviews unless service was outstanding or horrible. THIS SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING !!!!! imagine you have someone come to your house to clean your chimney I was expecting Willy to tell me all the things I needed, BUT NOPE he told me "oh your smoke stack is not screwed in properly and screwed it in and said ok have a Merry Christmas" .... IMAGINE that. Not even a house call charge !!! That is old school service, that is for sure HONEST....that is what we need more of.... and that is why he is the #1 guy on long island. I called honest chimney to come take a look at my chimney that was separating from my house. They gave me a quote to submit to my insurance company who covered the entire cost (the owner told me this was an option as I didn't know). I was very great full to have someone tell me that so I decided I would give honest chimney a shot to do the job. I got the chimney knocked down reframed and stuccoed.
