    Dabang Dosa
    Yuna C.

Came here by a recommendation and it did not disappoint! I was really excited to have the Dabang Dosa and it was my favorite - it's spicy, cheesy, soft with all the crunchy flavorful vegetables inside. As this is a fusion dish, it reminded me a bit of a rolled up but spicy/smoky pizza. I also enjoyed the tomato and coconut chutneys. My second favorite was the Bhaji Pav - you can't go wrong with buttery toasted bread and a warm, vegetable curry that was so perfectly seasoned. The Pani Puri was the perfect, much needed bite after a bit of the spice from the Dabang Dosa. It was refreshing, crunchy and airy - the tamarind sauce really topped it off a notch. The last thing we got was the Masala Dosa - this was my first time having dosa and it really is the all-rounder. I'd love to come again just for the Bhaji Pav and Dabang Dosa!! I also want to try their desserts and other drinks next time.

Good option if you are looking for Indian style snacks, sandwiches, and tiffin items, but I am not a big fan of their South Indian options. I was craving Rava Dosa and Vada and just didn't have the time or inclination to cook, so I ordered from here. Unfortunately, Rava Dosa was hard and difficult to eat, Vada was bland and soft, and sides were just OK. On the other hand, I had ordered Sandwiches and Chaat items from them before, and they were quite tasty. I would rate 5 Stars if the South Indian options tasted as good ‍

    Masala dosa!

Weirdly, I don't like the food at other Honest locations but love it here. Not sure if this one does things differently. We often end up here after doing shopping in the area. There's even an Indian market next door so it's convenient to grab a bite to eat here after dealing with all that. The inside is clean and bright (including the bathroom). Each table is set up with a water pitcher, utensils, etc. You just go to the counter to order and seat yourself. We typically order street food type stuff here. We've enjoyed the pav bhaji, pani puri, papdi chaat, bhel, and probably a couple other things. I've also gotten a masala dosa, which was done well. I think the only thing that's been a skip for me is the veg sandwich. Maybe next time I'll try the Honest special grill sandwich. Definitely recommend this spot - especially over other Honest locations!

The dabang dosa was great but never enough sambhar especially for the costs of this dosa. Also the papadi chaat was NOT good, pass on this folks! It just tastes like raw garlic- it was so overwhelming.

Tasty food in a relaxed setting. You order at a counter and your meal is brought to your table. There are plastic utensils on the tables. The staff is helpful. The Dabang Dosa was well seasoned and delicious. The prices are reasonable.

This place brings shame to Indian cuisine. I have no clue how this business is staying afloat and it deserves to close and I am sure WHO will second this. I am going to report this place to the business bureau for their shady practices. It consistently delivers awful food, rips people off and then deletes the bad reviews (it deleted my last two reviews. I gave this place two shots and it was worse every time) I dare you to try the food there and be impressed. - First, the menu is one of the most unexciting menus I have seen at any Indian restaurant. Unoriginal, very limited variety, all junk food. This would still be acceptable if anything was done well. - The food served here has little nutritional value and poorly made with the cheapest ingredients. You can literally taste the bad oil used in your burp. That's your body telling you to not punish yourself. Just look at the photos of pizza and the chaat.. They taste worse than they look if that is possible. Chaat looks like regurgitated food and that monstrosity of pizza is a crime in Italy. Has anyone working in this joke of a restaurant ever had even an average pizza?

    Vegetable Hakka Noodle

Updating my rating because the last few times I have ordered from here for delivery their pav bhajji has been pretty consistent. I tried Hakka noodles for the first time from this location and they were amazing. Definitely these would be my go to going forward along with dabaang dosa

    Vegetable noodles and manchurian

I was in the mood for Indian for a while and finally got a chance to swing by this spot today. I called in my order of the vegetable noodles and manchurian. I arrived about 15 mintes later. I parked in the plaza lot and walked in. I gave the lady my name and she said it will take 10 more minutes which I couldn't wait so I paid and told them I would be back. I arrived after a while. The food was ready and left. When I got in I ate and the meal wasn't bad. It was just very spicy and I wasn't feeling too many of the mixed vegetables they put in the noodles. There was plenty and I couldn't finish it all. All in all I had an ok experience.

We visited Honest Clifton place during our grocery run, the place is new and super clean. We were welcomed by Akanksha who was friendly and her recommendations were bang on. Food was fresh, flavorful and delicious, reminded me of streets of Bombay! We ordered: 1. Dabang Dosa (hearty crepe) - 5/5 - it's tasty and very filling 2. Vada Pao (Indian vegetarian hamburger) - 6/5 the best I've had in a long time 3. Masala Chaas (spiced yogurt drink/buttermilk) - 5/5 flavorful and fresh Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick delicious bite in the area!

Extremely poor management. Expect your food to be always delayed by an hour. Also, their taste is not consistent.

It's BYOB but they have some very creative drinks - you will find pictures of those here Probably the best part is the drinks even though Mon alcoholic We tried Anarkali , Passion Project , Mango cooler and a drink where the fibre melts away with fire like wow For starters we tried a bunch The Rawalpindi chaat looked interesting and was tasty, the paneer PinWheels , the Kale Pakoda and the chicken croquettes were all good So lot of variety to choose from On the meat side, -- We tried the Kohlapuri chicken and Methi chicken for entrees , which had a nice kick without overwhelming the other flavors. For vegetarian options, the paneer tikka was smoky and well-charred, and the saag was creamy without losing that earthy greens flavor. The Jackfruit curry was a nice try and well-spiced -- simple done right. We also loved the fusion touches. Portions were generous, the naan was fresh and hot, and the service was attentive throughout. A great mix of authentic flavor and creative twists -- highly recommend for a night out in Montclair.
