Had a wonderful experience at Kashan. Very unassuming location but the food was wonderful as was the waitstaff. We got the pani puri for an appetizer and it was lovely. The presentation was very creative and super tasty. We ordered the smoky old fashioned and the ginger cilantro martini. Both were fantastic. Very unique drinks to be had. For dinner we had the palak panner (medium spicy) and the Tariwala Chicken Curry and the Aloo Paratha bread. So much food we had to take home and had for lunch the next day. Would totally recommend. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the original chicken tikka masala recipe! I ordered from your previous location for years and it was always the same, consistent, comfort food. Now the chicken is weird, I don't know if you started using thigh meat instead of chicken breast, but it's not the same quality. Each time I order it it's different, and last night there were huge chunks of peppers and onions, which I have never had before. The old version got such great reviews, and was a weekly treat for me and now I don't trust ordering anymore. It's really heartbreaking actually. read more

Shaam Savera was ok, but I felt the gravy could have had more flavor. Hakka Noodles were fire!! Best I've ever tried. Be mindful of spice level because we said medium and it was still spicy coming from someone who has a pretty high spice tolerance. Gravy Manchurian was good. Gravy felt a little tart. Garlic naan was soft and fluffy. Masala soda is not my cup of tea or tastebuds but my husband enjoyed it. They provide complimentary chaat masala onions and rice. I came here for a lunch with some of my friends and was really pleased with everything! We decided to go for the buffet and there were a bunch of different options (both vegetarian and not). The food was hot and very flavorful - they also constantly were restocking the buffet. The service was great and the restaurant was modern and clean. Would definitely recommend! read more

We ordered takeout from this place on Sunday, 12/8, and it was by far the worst Indian food I've ever had. We ended up tossing it and ordering pizza instead. The lamb chops were bland, the malai chicken was undercooked and pink inside, the dal makhani tasted sour as if something had spoiled, and the naan was too chewy! read more

First off they need to change the water they serve to the public, its taste like sewer water. They can buy a filtered water system or a water dispenser instead of sink water. Second, they don't give enough chicken when you order. I ordered the Chicken Tikka and it didn't have enough chicken, mostly sauce. I decided to order food from here and let me tell you, not one item was worth eating. The gosht biryani had cooked rice that felt so mushy that it tasted like baby food. No flavor at all. The amritsari fish had such a thick tasteless batter, that I could use it like a winter coat. Also tasteless. The dal makhani was ok because tasteless works for it. This restaurant serves the best Indian food that I have ever experienced. The appetisers are delicious and a work of art. The entrees are amazing, and the seasoning sizzles. (You can choose your degree of heat.) The bar serves a wide selection of drinks reasonably priced. (I don't recommend their wine selection.) As a vegetarian, I like Indian cooking because so many dishes are available that are meat free. Kashan also serves many Indian cuisine favorites with tofu as an alternative protein (in addition to beef, lamb, seafood, etc.). Service is wonderful, and the ambiance is classy. Very tasty! We ordered veg dishes & non veg.Bhoot Jolokia lamb is the best in taste ,Butter chicken very tasty and good spice. They had peshwari naan which was nice. The lamb rogan was great, the flavor of the curry and spices combined was a mouthful, the lamb was so tender. The butter chicken was so flavorful also... Naans both garlic and lamb so ... Service was not great. The waiter was unfriendly and inattentive. The water was not refilled and the check too forever even though there was only 1 only table dining at 6:45pm. I did a catering order for FULL TRAY of Chx Biryani (thank god I cancelled the additional order). Unbeknownst to me as a new customer, their full tray is really a slim tray for $135. Also skimped out on the meat. I was to feed 15 people and had to order pizza. I called and complained, they were apologetic and said they would clarify this on their website and menu. But very deceiving, a full tray would cost $270 and that is just unacceptable. The food was good, but not worth that price at all. read more

Went there for their lunch buffet. It was all chicken dishes - there was no lamb, or seafood like shrimp - nothing but chicken. And the chicken was all overcooked to the point where the meat was dried out. Putting sauce on dried out chicken does not make it better. And the vegetarian/vegan dishes were limited - I think there was only one. The worst part was that I was the first one there for the lunch buffet about 5-10 minutes after their opening time, and several of the dishes were already cold. The buffet is not kept warmed so if the dishes are sitting there, they just get cold. Additionally, the building was just rebuilt and remodeled from the business that was there before. The previous building had a front door entrance from the sidewalk that was easily accessible to everyone, including people in wheelchairs. The remodel put the main entrance on the side of the building, in the middle of the parking lot. The wheelchair accessible entrance was put in the back of the business, down a ramp that was sloped too much, IMO, and led to a door that was blocked. So, if you need wheelchair/scooter accessibility, you are likely to be out of luck with this restaurant. I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more
