Really enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet here! Pretty great selection with even a few vegetarian options. Tried to include a little bit of everything in our first go-around in the attached picture but even arriving an hour into the 3 hour allotted time, everything was stocked up. I particularly loved the samosas but generally really enjoyed everything. The only thing is that they don't serve tap so you either pay for bottled water or another kind of drink. More than plenty of options for the price point and while parking isn't readily available by the restaurant, you can find spots around a couple block radius. Finally had some solid Indian food in the area without having to make the trek to Edison. Had a strong craving but was hesitant to order from somewhere local. Glad I did. We ordered the chicken tika masala (mild), lamb biryani (medium), garlic naan, Bhindi masala (medium) and a side of onion relish. I'm half Indian and I can honestly say the okra dish (bhindi) was better than my father's. The medium spice level gave it the perfect kick. The chicken tika masala and lamb biryani were solid dishes. The garlic naan, could've been a little more garlicky for my taste. The onion chutney is always a go to condiment for me (not on menu). 100% will be ordering again. I'm this place is great! Went on a recommendation. We got take out on a weekday. Tandoori chicken fabulous my kiddo love it. Yellow Dahl, perfect flavors, Allo Gobi Matar, excellent. Best Indian place in the area! I've only been here for take out so can't speak for the dining in experience. Every time someone comes to town and wants Indian this is our go to spot. As a vegetarian, there's plenty of options. I got a fried vegetable appetizer that everyone was happy to share. The garlic naan was delicious. Went there after having a couple drinks at six points pub. I ordered 1 biriyani to go but they CHARGED ME FOR 2!! I didn't realize until the next day when i saw the receipt that i paid 28$ for 1 biryani!! Owner clearly knew i was tipsy and took advantage of me! Im beyond disgusted and truly extremely hurt. Did the weekend buffet and I have one word to describe the food - bleh. Literally everything on the buffet was either undercooked or wattery. Want some Chicken Tikka Masala soup? They had it! Want undercooked cauliflower with your mushy potatoes? They had it but seriously - how the heck did they manage that contrast in one dish? Service was atrocious and the owner walking around could not be bothered with anything. He wasn't interested in anything other than giving us the check. One example - do you know they give naan with the buffet? Well, not only did he not tell us, when I asked him, he said "bread is on the buffet". Well it wasn't and he didn't bring any out. It is when another customer asked him repeatedly did he bring it out for her. And.....when the next table asked, guess what he said! If they don't want to serve customers or put half way decent food on the buffet, why offer it? And they are charging $15 so I don't understand why he won't even bring naan out. I rarely get so disappointed but the Yelp reviews really were misleading. Oh well. Maybe their regular food is better but I am never going to find out. We went here a couple years ago a few times and it was always okay, but something consistently missed the mark. However, we've ordered twice during covid and have truly been pleasantly surprised! We ended up doing the 2 entree deal, which is usually only offered dine in, but they made an exception since dine in isn't an option. In this deal, we got paneer makhani, paneer tikka, paratha, rice, raita, mini salad, papad, and dal. The taste was on point!! And, always a cherry on top- the price was reasonable for all of this. It is a little pricey when not ordering with the 2 entree deal, but Indian food generally isn't the cheapest to order. We've always had to wait a bit for the food, longer than the time we're told on the phone. But, when the food is really good, it's a decent trade-off. While I could not see the kitchen staff, the presumable owners/the ones that take menu orders, always have masks on. They also have hand sanitizer handy on the table. I was fasting all day so was in the mood for a big meal. I ordered over the phone. I ordered the Alo Gobhi Matar and that is peas, potatoes and cauliflower in curry with a side of roti. When I arrived, what looked like the owner greeted me. The man that took my order came out with my food and I paid about $16. I got home and dug in and it was so spicy but pretty good. I asked for no spicy and they did just that. What I also REALLY loved was that the chicken was in BITE sizes!! I was impressed with this place. It used to be a terrible, half-assed Chinese buffet, but now it's a delightful Indian buffet with great food. They've cleaned the place up, made it much more presentable and the food is extremely good. My husband and I stopped in for lunch while the car was being serviced over at Subaru. I understand they have a full sit-down menu but since we were there for lunch, we tried the buffet and we were very pleased. There was a great variety of vegetarian items as well as the traditional chicken dishes. I liked the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori chicken, they were nicely done. The samosas were delicious as well. If you're in the neighborhood at lunch time, give it a try. The 10.00 buffet is excellent. Be warned that their takeout usually takes an hour (or more specially on the weekend!) even when picking up, we've had to wait 30 minutes for our order. In my head, I like to think it's because they make everything from scratch. Their naan is always delicious and their samosas are always our go to appetizer. We ordered multiple dishes off their menu and have always been satisfied! Some of their items are extremely spicy so beware. This place is great and authentic. Just finding out that it is run by the same owners as Natraj, so it's not really much of a surprise. I have a special affection for their garlicky naan and butter chicken. It is a delicious combination of spices that leave me wanting more. I love the authenticity of their dishes. I really loathe the Americanization of cultural foods. I have tried a few dishes including Tikka masala, butter chicken, meat samosa, briyani and others. Each time I get something from here I am pleased by the preparation, flavors and quality. None of the food was labeled, there were few options with even less vegetarian ones and naan that had been sitting in a basket way too long. Taste was ok for what was there, which included a mainly boneless goat dish that is unusual for a buffet but it was too chewy. Dark and drab interior at the front of a large catering hall, indifferent service with paper towel rolls on the tables for napkins. Parking is also a challenge. Sorry I chose this place. read more

I want to start this review by saying that the staff here are wonderful. Some of the nicest people with the best customer service. I came in late at night, just a few minutes before closing and they were still happy to accommodate me although they only had a small selection of food they could give me because they were starting to close. as I walked in I was surprised to see the sheer size of this restaurant. They accommodate both catering and parties in their restaurant. There are many different tables and areas set up in place for what seem to be big events. But aside from that, the food is amazing. I got the curry goat with rice and Naan, and For the price, I would say the food is worth it it was delicious and they gave me huge portions. I ordered takeout, chicken vindaloo medium spicy with garlic naan. Garlic naan was great. The vindaloo was heavy with oil. Not the best vindaloo I've ever had. Passably decent. But I regretted it a few hours later. My stomach feels so awful. I've felt this way eating food from only one other Indian restaurant. I've grown up eating Indian food so I know it's not the spices or that my stomach can't handle it. I don't think I'd ever order from here again. read more

The best Indian food around! We order delivery from here at least once a week - the food is always hot, tasty, fresh and delicious. I think the food is even better than all of the indian places in nearby fancy Montclair, tastes more authentic and carefully cooked. delivery takes about an hour but I think that is to be expected when they are making the food fresh when you order it. our favorites are the dal makni, alo gobi matar, the veggie samosas, and all of the curries are always spectacular. all the breads are great too! we are vegans and it is so easy to get wonderful vegan food here, that we never get tired of. and the staff is always very friendly, we love this place!! read more
