Vivian is MY GIRL and the only one I let touch my eyebrows. Honest Rituals is a stop I will not miss while in LA. It's also the sweetest spa that I wish I could chill out in for hours. It's such a welcoming and good feeling space to be in, and Vivian's personality certainly lends to this. I look forward to returning for a facial on my next visit. If you love getting lost in shelves of products, they have the sweetest selection of facial products, body products and beyond. I hope, despite the canyon closures, fires and landslides, that Honest Rituals is here to stay, at least for a long time to come. read more

The facial service was good and what did not stand out is the enforced 20% gratuity on top of the service. Gratuity should be a choice of the client. No other service that I have been to have ever forced a gratuity regardless of the service costing over 500. "You will be able to add 20% gratuity upon check-out", that language does not say you have to pay 20%. If you refuse to pay a 20% gratuity then you fall under the cancellation policy which charges you 20% gratuity on top of the service cost. To me this is a red flag. read more

I'm a licensed provider as well and I haven't had a good service in a long long while and thanks to Bobbi I was restored emotionally, physically, and spiritually with a wonderful facial. I loveeee getting facials. I have been following Honest Rituals on IG for years. I was so so excited to try their Ojai location when they opened. my first session was cancelled less than 1 hour before, and I had already driven 45 min to get to Ojai. no reason was given and I couldn't get a hold of staff.... this was a huge bummer and so inconsiderate on their part. later that week I booked a facial with "Coco" and it was honestly the worst facial I have ever received. it didnt even feel like a facial, more time was spent wiping oil off my face with a towel then actually massaging. My entire body was dripping in oil afterwards including my hair. and I've gotten many facial massages and facials before, I know you can sometimes leave with an oily glow and this was not that. I let staff know how upset I was, Elizabeth actually called me which was nice, but on the phone she sounded like she didn't believe me... then later I find out I'm blocked on all social media. I think their IG is great, I love learning from Honest Rituals, but based off my experience, staff is clearly not trained well. I am shocked this girl is even allowed to give a facial and I just have to wonder if that's their standard quality of care bc there's some AMAZING other facialists in town that give you a thousand times better experience for half the cost. read more

Everything about receiving care in this space is the absolute best. From the atmosphere of Topanga Canyon to the little shopping center it's in, Honest Rituals provides a sense of calm to the nervous system. I've had both the Buccal Facial and The Clear Skin Facial. The esthetician "fairy" I've had love on my skin is Bobby and she's absolute magic. We always have the coolest conversations. She also has a natural way of suggesting options for me to care for my skin at home that doesn't come off as "salesy". Best massage of my life! I have TMJ, a clicking jaw and general pain. I've been following Honest Rituals on IG for some time and finally made my way to Topanga. Kristie was so lovely and the whole space was so calm and inviting. It felt like I'd completely left the LA area. I had way less clicking afterwards and left in a transcendental state! Oh I just LOVE Elizabeth and all of her Honest Rituals! She is such a kind and gentle soul and puts her love into her work. I have been going to her for sugaring and facials for the past year and I can't get enough. I find myself making more and more appointments each time I go. Sugaring with Elizabeth has been such a wonderful experience for me. The fact that I can have ALL my hair removed with a natural process makes me so happy. So far, I have tried sugaring my arms, armpits, legs and bikini and I think I am going to venture out to get every little area. The process is surprisingly relaxing and the every 3 weeks schedule I keep gets the hair at just the right time so I barely feel pain. Elizabeths facials are heavenly. She has a very light touch (but still firm to get into the muscles) and just knows what my face needs. I leave feeling lighter and tighter and I only wish I could go more often. I started sugaring almost a year ago and have never looked back! I was so sick of shaving and frustrated that there didn't truly seem to be an environmentally friendly way to remove hair (safety razors didn't work for me). That's when I met Elizabeth and she introduced me to the art of sugaring. I loved that the mixture is made of natural ingredients and that no extra sticks or materials are wasted like in waxing. Elizabeth is such a lovely and calming presence and creates a very comfortable space. Sugaring is harder than it looks (my sister tried herself and didn't get very far!) and Elizabeth has a very effective and gentle technique. Even though certain areas are a little painful, the overall experience is enjoyable. We have the best conversations and I always leave feeling so good! I now go to Elizabeth about once a month for sugaring and embrace my hair the rest of the time (I've invested in more shirts with sleeves and long dresses!) I have definitely noticed a decrease in my hair growth since starting. As someone with dark hair, it's pretty amazing to see thinner and lighter hair replacing what was once there. I love everything about Honest Rituals, from the candles, to the space Elizabeth created, to her incredible treatments. I highly recommend making an appointment if you've been curious about sugaring or for a relaxing treatment like a facial. read more

I have had several facials over the years, but this was by far the best. Elizabeth's calming spirit and gentle touch were both restful and rejuvenating. I love that she is careful to select products that contain natural ingredients. You really can tell the difference. And, love the aroma therapy - they smell delicious!
