Cute concept. The art offerings are pretty basic and not what we expected. Thought there would be more art that required some intricacies and details. Art that I can't do at home. The supplies were basic as well. We brought 2 seven year girls, but we (moms) had to pay even though we weren't doing art or drinking coffee or tea. We were there chaperoning our minors. We shouldn't have to pay to sit. We paid $15. I think one of the reviews mentioned that there is one staff doing check in, drink orders, giving details on each art option. She could use an additional staff designated for only check in or drink orders. Also I found the art offerings were basic. The owner didn't do a good job explaining each art offering in detail. She was really focused on collecting money from anyone who showed up that had not registered. One of the art offerings was clay. You can mold your clay into what ever you want. What we didn't expect to hear is once you finish molding, you take your molded clay home to paint after it drys. Why is there nothing to dry clay in the art cafe? Maybe offer color clay to create. The girls weren't happy with this. I just feel like $27 for one art project (plus $15 for adult chaperone) for 2 hours with self served drinks is not the best value. At the very least you should allow for 2 art projects. Especially given how basic they were. How long do you think molding clay will take 7 year old girls? I'll answer, 30 mins of molding. Then what? I have been wanting to stop by Honey Art Cafe for years, but never made the time to do so. Now that I have been, I only regret not having come in sooner! Honey Art Cafe offers a number of different clay and paint-based self-led art projects, as well as drinks and desserts! The studio space is gorgeous! Every wall is splashed with color, beautiful artistic renderings, and floor to ceiling masterpieces. Even the bathroom is decorated with hand-painted cats! The staff, especially Amy, were amazing! I showed up right at opening without a reservation and Amy graciously welcomed me in and explained the process. She showed me examples of projects that others had completed and answered all my questions. I chose to do a water color project on paper. Amy gave me a complete kit with photo instructions on how to complete my project. If you want an instructor-led project then be sure to check Honey Art Cafe's schedule for those specific events because most of their art experiences are self-led. I really liked the self-led experience because I never felt rushed to complete any particular step during the process. Technically, you have two hours total to complete your project; however, we were told that as long as others are not waiting for a table, then you can stay past your two hours total slot. I am no master artist by any means, but I was very happy with how my project turned out! I got to take it home the same day! The kits were easy to use and were freshly stocked with new paints. I had a caramel macron (shaped like a smiling piece of toast!) which was delicious. Also, each art pass comes with a drink - cold brew, lemonade, or tea! I can't wait to go back to Honey Art Cafe to try another art project! Honey art cafe is a neat concept. They have a nice variety of art options for your group to do. Painting, coloring, clay options, etc. Staff was friendly when I made it to the counter, there was a party of 8-10 in front of me. They had made their reservations for painting ahead of time but it took about 20 minutes for them to put in snack & drink orders. Then once I put in my order for 4 macarons it was another 20. My one tip is possibly having someone dedicated to taking care of reservations or having reservations pre-order snacks; or possibly having a second order spot for those just coming in for snacks or for to-go. I barely got around to visiting recently! Not a whole lot of parking and a tight parking lot out front. Inside was nice and clean (as well as their bathrooms). They have a good selection of drinks with options for everyone even those who don't like coffee. A few food and dessert options as well. My cappuccino I got was pretty standard. I was happy with it. I loved the cute bear in the foam!!! It is really such a cute cafe with so much to look at. They sell so many different items from apparel to accessories to home goods. Loved this cafe! Went in initially for the $1 macaroon sale but they were sold out pretty quick. I did partake in an acrylic session which was a lot of fun. You are given the option of canvases or wooden coasters and then provided the paints. It also comes with a drink! The latte I got was delicious and even with the rush the staff were super nice. Such a cute place with nice staff! I came in by myself on a weekday right before they closed, and I was one of the only patrons in the store. I was able to walk in and get started making some really cute fruit Pom Pom earrings! I liked how they had little menu booklets that were very on brand for their theme. The craft packet I ordered came with the materials that I needed already included, however I kind of wish that they had a more open policy where customers can select the colors they want to use rather than having it chosen for them. There were easy to follow printed instructions that came with the packet that made the craft simple! My teen loves this place. Very artistic setting and casual atmosphere. They have adorable macarons, which also taste good. They are soft and chewy, not as airy as most macarons. So really I prefer these. Lavender lemonade our favorite, very fresh tasting! They offer some art projects you can purchase and create in studio. They also have lots of merch from other artists you can purchase as well. Parking is not the best, they are tiny spaces in a busy section with other stores. They do offer 2 reserved spots for cafe, if available. It's fairly casual and quiet inside, they do play some music. They are helpful and friendly. I'm not a fan of the stuffed animals and pillows, mainly because they look worn down and give me pillows from my bed vibes, but that's just me, my kids loved it. Im solely posting this review in terms of using the cafe as a STUDY SPACE. As an art cafe alone, it looked like a 5/5 place. The staff are extremely friendly. You can order from your table and grab a quick treat or any regular cafe drink. I personally recommend the smoothie bowl. It was great. As far as using the area to study, I went at a time I thought it wouldn't be busy. 2-5ish on a Tuesday (although school is out for the summer atm). It was a little too rowdy for me as a study place. I enjoy some noise (think like Siphon or Campesino noise level) but it this place had a lot of moving parts while I was trying to work. Also, I could only find one outlet in the main table area. As far as a study space, would have given it a 3/5 but the smoothie redeemed a star. Would 100% recommend this place but not so much for studying or getting work done, unless you're just casually working and meeting up with a friend. read more

I can't stress how much fun and joy of an experience this cafe gave to its visitors. My friends and I were fortunate enough to find a place than not only created a place to lets their customers chill with sweet treats while drawing with eachother's company but also basque in the presence of many local artist's merchandise at the front of the shop. My wallet was in danger of its life with how many wonderful pieces were displayed at the register. The cafe also offers art times for their customer if you want to take part in a creative space with an extra dose of sugar. 10/10 service. The art school is one in the same as Honey Art Cafe really. The classroom is in the back of the cafe but you checkin at the cash register at the cafe. They started late and ended early. So it's not really a full hour. Probably more like 40-45 minutes. We got there late and they still hadn't started. You can order food when you check in. Parking can be tight. But usually not at 11 am when their Saturday classes begin. There's an unpaved lot in the back too. Staff is nice. You can do DIY crafts in the cafe if you want. Totoro macaroon was great and I hate macaroons. Mango coco wasn't my favorite. I think it wasn't sweet enough for me maybe. read more

If you like art and drink this is the place to be, I love everything they offer, the atmosphere, the art craft and their little art gallery/artist alley are so much fun. When I drank it, it looked like wisps of mango were floating in the the thin coconut milk. As noted in other reviews, the drink did taste a little sour and that's probably due to the young and not fully ripe mango purée. read more

I went here on a date and it was so much fun! We did the 'tea for two' lesson and it was really cool. We got to pick what kind of tea to drink and what kind of macaroon to eat. They brought out some more desserts in addition to that. We got 4 pieces of canvas paper to paint on and got to use watercolors and the many brushes to paint our masterpieces. We had a lot of fun trying to paint. The other super cool thing was the diy buttons that we made! We got to paint within a circle and cut it out and bring it to the button machine that they showed us how to use. They turned out really cool and we liked it a lot. For some reason I had imagined this location as a lessons-only locale, but that is certainly not the case! Feeling artsy? Want to channel your inner Degas? Then this is the place for you! Honey Art Cafe is definitely a place where you could fly solo, go on a crafty date, or hang out with a group of friends. Tables line the cafe with pillows and cushions to assist with your comfort while you let your creative juices flow. You can bring your own gear or just choose one of the many pre-set do-it-yourself craft projects that they have available. I really liked that each project had step-by-step instructions to help you make the project your own. These included geometric necklaces, earrings, and terrariums (complete with live air plants!). You could also just purchase a coloring book and doodle your stress away. They sell snacks and non-alcoholic beverages....particularly coffee, whose delightful aroma perfumed the cafe the entire time I was there. They also have a cute assortment of macarons to try from. My friend and I met here for a mini painting session, which was held in a small classroom at the back of the shop. There were 4 others in attendance, so it was a fairly intimate workshop. Janice was our instructor and she was very thorough and nice. If you sign up for one of these classes be prepared to focus! It's a light-hearted but serious painting class, where you get to take home something that you might actually want to show off! I love the concept of this place. Enjoy some (non-alcoholic) drinks and be creative! They also have some macaroons and cakes you can enjoy. I came here with a few girls for my friend's bachelorette party. We were given space in the back of the cafe where they set up a DIY Totoro terrarium workshop. The workers there were very friendly and helped us take photos. Because it was DIY, it wasn't really a class but a simple 3-step instruction with how to set up a terrarium. They have paints you can rent as well and a lot of custom artwork you can purchase. Honey Art Cafe also provides a bunch of classes where you can learn to draw or paint which I'd totally do if I lived in Houston!
