I ordered door dash from here I was craving some sesame chicken and this place had good reviews on door dash. I saw they had quite a few reviews on Yelp about having really good hot wings I thought I'd give those a try too. When the food arrived it was hot and still crispy. Everything I requested was in the bag. The wings are called buffalo it not any real spice to it kind of sweet with a small amount of spice. They are crispy and a good size for the price. The sesame chicken came in a tray that looked small but it was plenty on the tray once I started eating it was more than I could consume in one sitting. I added vegetable fried rice instead of the plain fried rice and it was worth the up charge to me. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. The meal also comes with a egg roll I was able to request a vegetable egg roll. It heated up nicely the next day. Craving Chinese takeout here would be a good place to try! read more

I have eaten here on several occasions and the food is normally okay, but on this day, Thursday, August 7, 2025.....I ordered the chicken wings, spring rolls and vegetable fried rice. Everything tasted okay.....the problem was the vegetable fried rice. It's called vegetable rice for a reason...IT SHOULD HAVE VEGETABLES IN IT!!!! I ordered the large because I planned on eating it in a second meal for dinner. There were hardly any vegetables in it .....it was basically a plate full of fried rice. I ended up trashing it! I'm guessing the small has sufficient vegetables in it????? My meal was was $22 which isn't bad, but money is money....I hate wasting my money on food that doesn't meet my expectations and I expected a large vegetable fried rice to have a large proportion of vegetables in it! The food is wonderful and cheap. Inflation seems to have just skipped over this place. Chicken wings are great. They have Scallion chicken that's delicious. I've always had great service there. I have a lot of respect for the people working there cause they deal with a lot (literally a car drove into their restaurant before). Most of the negative reviews I've seen are from 10 months ago, or earlier. The food is AMAZING. I'm visiting from out of town, and my family ordered takeout yesterday. Boy was I knocked off of the fence onto the side of belief. What really stood out was the fried chicken, like... there is something special about the ingredients cooked into the chicken. It's not seasoned, but the way it's made. it has a perfectly balance crunch & any "seasoning" would mess it up. i might just not be used to fried food. i eat "clean" for the most part, but there was something. laugh out loud. lastly, for what i ate, was the shrimp lo mein. lo mein is always a gamble to me. after takeout from here, i never have to take another chance. at least not while in Charlotte. normally the noodles from other other restaurants taste bland, or pasty; nothing included in the making of the noodles, ie "Noodles & Co." anyway--take your own chance and order here! i hope I gave you some confidence, at least for what i ate. cheers and happy holidays! read more

Ordered through Postmates and food was pretty mediocre. The wings were pretty good and chicken lo-me in not bad. I have blonde hair and my boyfriend has light brown hair and we found the attached hair deep in the sesame chicken. The sesame chicken wasn't very good. This place is not appealing on the eye at all but has some of the best Chinese food in town everything takes 15 minutes according to them I would suggest calling your order in is you will be waiting about 30 minutes no matter what you order. Do not be intimidated by the neighborhood, the bright orange exterior, or the bars on the front windows, the China Bowl is a gem! This is AMAZING Chinese takeout! Opening for and offering lunch specials, the Bowl is open until 9pm weeknights and 9.30pm Friday and Saturday (closed Sunday). With standard Chinese takeout fare, I was lured in for beef and broccoli and was pleasantly surprised with their wings. Great flavor for fried chicken wings. They also do Buffalo, Sesame and BBQ wings which I will be sure to try as well as their boneless spare ribs.
